Chapter 2, Plans To Go Out

Well that just killed the entire vibe, thanks a lot Marcy.

Sleeping over at Val's is the best to ever do, we barely sleep at night since we're so focused on doing everything we don't normally do during the day, like exercise or play hide and seek.

Then when we're all tired out, we walk to the living room and decide that we're not ready to go to sleep yet which results in us making coffee and listening to music.

But when the sun comes up, you'll find us in different spots of the house.

I woke up in the bath tub, don't remember why I chose the tub but I couldn't be bothered to remember why either so I just got out and stretched before brushing my teeth.

The girls were already awake and sitting on the couch, I walked over to them and greeted each one before they fill me in on what they were speaking about.

So we were trying to decide what we wanted to do today, but there was seriously zero ideas not even Kyla thought of an idea so we just decided to wait for later.

"Oh, let's have a little dance party! Maybe that'll give us some type of idea."

Angie suggested as she grabbed the remote to the tv and turned it on, she clicked on the YouTube app and began playing music to which we weren't dancing to until 'Running Up That Hill' by Kate Bush began playing.

I jumped up from the couch and began to lip sync to the lyrics, Val got up and began making her own dance moves as Marcy got up and danced with Angie.

Kyla pulled her phone out and began to record us as she laughed, I walked to her and grabbed her hand so she could dance and sing along with us.

"Come baby, come on, come on darling!"

This was always my favorite part, Kyla sang along with me as we jumped up and down doing the weirdest and craziest dance moves that came to mind.

Having the best friend group of your life, this was what it looked like to me and even though it might not look amazing to you, I felt so confident and free whenever I'm with my friends.

"Dance with me baby, dance with me baby, let's get lost right here!"

Angie screamed the lyrics to 'Dance, Baby!' by Boy Pablo, this was her favorite song and she would always sing along to the lyrics as well as get us to dance with her.

This is what I mean whenever we're around Angie, she manages to be herself and get us to join her, and we don't even question it for the slightest.

When the song ends, I grab the remote and try looking for a song that we might like to sing along to or dance to.

This was an everyday life style, it didn't matter whose house we were at, you will hear us scream the lyrics and dance along.

"Ooh! I just got an idea, lower the volume!"

Val shouted over the loud music blasting through her speakers, I nodded and lowered the volume so she could explain her idea before she forgets.

"We can go to the park, have a little picnic or just run around like we're five again?"

That wasn't a bad idea, we haven't been to the park in forever so we immediately agreed to the plan and scurried off to put our shoes on and bike home to change clothes.

Perusal, I was last to get home but it didn't really matter.

"Mom? I'm home!"

I shouted at the door as I took my shoes off and walked to the living room where my little sister sat, she was watching Chowder.

Venus looked away from the TV and looked at me, she just grinned slightly.

"Sup Vee, where's mom?"

I greeted my little sister, Venus and I didn't really have that great sister bond considering well, she considered me an imbecile and I think of her as a nuisance.

"She's in the office, why?"

Venus responded, I looked at her as if she was the dumbest person on earth although she was way smarter than me and all of my friends combined.

"To say hi, and to ask for permission to hang out with my friends today."

I answered her idiotic question, even though it wasn't dumb at all, I just couldn't let her see me being nice to her.

Venus nodded her head and went back to watching her TV, I pursed my lips together and nodded my head before walking to the office to speak to my mother.

I knocked on the door and waited for my mom to respond to me, she was almost a busy woman considering she was an actress and a mother.

"Come in!"

My mother shouted, I smiled and walked into the office where my mom was sat at her desk, on her laptop.

She looked up from her laptop and smiled at me, I walked over to her and gave her a side hug before sitting on the chair in front of her desk to ask her.

"What's up kiddo?"

My mom asked, I looked around her office and noticed the arrangements she made in it, she finally got rid of the photos of her and dad.

She made sure there were no more memories of him, I sighed knowing she was the one who was most hurting through the divorce and everything.

I'd explain but now's not the time, I'm kind of wanting to go to the park with my friends but I promise to explain everything when I do have the chance.

"I was wondering if I could go to the park today with my friends?"

I asked sheepishly although I knew she wouldn't really say no unless there was something I have to do or hadn't done.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not really spoiled and I do get told no almost a bunch of times which I just have to suck up and keep it moving, but since it's summer, I get more freedom.

"Sure, just text me when you arrive and when you're leaving."

My mom told me before she went back to working on her laptop, I nodded my hand and thanked her before walking out of the office and ran upstairs to my bedroom.

I opened the door and looked through my closet, I knew it was going to be hot today so I didn't really want to wear any jeans that were either too tight of a little to loose.

Right as I found the outfit, I get a call.

I looked at my phone and smiled as it was a group call, I took a minute to answer because I needed to set my clothes on the bed and then picked up.

"What's up?"

I asked as i began to put the call on speaker so I could get changed, Marceline went on a ramble about how she found out something a little saddening and that she just needs to share with us.

Kyla encouraged her to tell us, since she was very eager to know what was the news.

"There was a couple, they were teens and right after they got married, they got into a car crash. They were just seventeen and eighteen, they died on their wedding day."

Marceline shared with us, my jaw dropped and looked at my phone to show how unhappy I was for the mood killer that Marcy was being.

Well that just killed the entire vibe, thanks a lot Marcy.

Val finally spoke breaking the silence, Angie chuckled and I smiled before grabbing my mini book bag and making sure I had everything I needed inside of it.

Curiosity got the best of me, I wanted to know more about the dead married couple since I was gonna know about it later.

"Wait, are you talking about the Atlanta car crash? That was last year Marce."

Kyla stated as I turned my bedroom lights off and walked downstairs, I shouted goodbye from my doorstep before walking out and walking towards my bike.

"Oh, well I just found out about it today when I was getting dressed."

Marceline responded as I walked with my bike, I didn't want to ride it until I was with my group since we would race at Val's house.

We stood on call until everyone got to the house, I hung up when I saw Val since it made no sense in both of us being in the call if we're near each other.

"Well, do you know their names? I mean the news had to have said their names."

I asked curiously, Val nudged me and laughed at my curiosity which got a small laugh out of me as I waited for the response of Marceline.

"Scarlett Elizabeth Delmonico and Jaden Walton, well it's actually Scarlett Walton and Jaden Walton since they got married."

Marceline responded before hanging up since she was arriving to us, now we waited for Kyla and Angie so we could race to the park together.

Although it's amazing to be around Marcy, sometime she says some mood killing things that I end up being curious about.

Once everyone was here, we got on our bikes and began to race one another to the park just to see if one of us would survive another fake murderer.

Maybe we should stop watching horror movies for a little while, considering I'm still going to be about dead as Cedric Diggory.

As we arrived to the park out of breath, we didn't stop, we just parked our bikes and locked them up before running towards the swings.

I got on the middle swing and began to swing as I waited for everyone to catch up, it was weird that I ran faster than everyone but couldn't bike fast.

Somewhere, Somehow, Ronald Reagan was the cause of this.
