I was busy with work and papers when the door to my office slammed open and I saw Marcus standing there with a brown paper bag in his hand and a smirk on his face.
"The bitch has finally got what she deserved."
He said walking to me and waving the paper bag in his hand. Sitting on the chair at desk he placed the paper bag in front of me.
"Whoever sent you that email, was telling the truth. She wasn't here just to get you or hurt Haze, her plans were much bigger than those."
I picked up the document and went through each paper carefully. Reading every word and understanding the situation. My eyes then rose to Marcus who was still smirking as if he knew something else too.
"What else did you dig up?"
"You'll be amazed to know this one." He said and moved get another price of paper from his suit jacket and placed it front of me.
I read the whole document and a scoff left my lips.
"What's the plan now?"
"Kill her, what else."

Haze's POV
As I walked through the hallways of my school, I was a little scared. Worried that his mother would send her men here, but it was trying to cheer myself saying that his men are keeping eyes around the school for any suspicious activity.
I spotted Kayla talking to some girls and her smile brighten up as she saw me. She left her other friends and ran towards me.
" Hey birthday boy!"
"It's not birthday Kayla." I said as she hugged me briefly.
" I know. But since I couldn't spend it with you, because you were in some other Country, I'll spend it today with you." She said with a bright smile and I gave her a tight smile. I can't believe I'm hiding so many things from her. We used to tell each other everything and now it's like she's not even in my life anymore.

"Guess what!" She exclaimed and I looked at her confused. "I'm trowing you a birthday party at one of our clubs!" She said happily and cheered.
"You didn't have to." I told her but she shushed me.
"I have everything ready and planned. I have even sent an invitation to our friends, who are not even that close with us, but anyways. Almost half of the school is coming and you don't need to do anything. Just be present there on time. Sharp at 6 pm. I have to go now, need to send a few more invitations! Bye!!" She said and ran away in her heels calling random people and giving them invitations.
" She's excited." I turned to look at Louis and looked back at Kayla's retreating back.
" I don't think a party right now is exactly what we need. Not after what happened."
" I heard everything from Marcus. You shouldn't even be at school right now." Louis said as we walked side by side to our locker.
" Storm has his men around the parameter. "
He nodded as we got our stuff and went to our class together.
" She invited you as well."
" Yeah." He sighed. " Not exactly the best way to get invitations if you ask me."
" What did she do?" I asked knowing exactly how wild she can go.
" Forget it. It's better if you don't know." He sighed and then again looked at me. " Will you be able to come to your own party? I mean after the last event, I don't think Storm will let you go to a party. Those men tried to kidnap you and parties like these are exactly what he'll want you to avoid right now."

" That is the problem. I don't want Kayla to get involved in this. This is fucked up, mafia, rivalry, business, hate anger, and most of the things that I still can't get my head around. I can't even tell her to stop the party, she won't listen. "
" Take Storm with you then. It'll be safe. "
" I'll ask him. "
───────────────
" No. You are not going to any party."
" But Kayla is throwing this party for me. And it's rude if I don't go." I said walking around the table to his side. He was pinching the bridge of his nose in frustration and the papers lying around unorganised on his table said their own story. "She's throwing the party because she couldn't celebrate my birthday with me."
I know i shouldn't have brought that up he had reasons but i didn't like the way he was trying to stop me from going.
"We talked about this Haze. It's not safe for you to go out yet."
"You sent me to school."
"Education is important. You had guards-"
"And those guards can come to the party with me. Or maybe you can join as well."
He shook his head and turned to look at me.
"I know Kayla is important to you, and I also know you don't want to hurt her feeling by not going to the party, but think about it. That woman is after you, school was a safe ground, you had teachers, friends and the guards but party, there are many chances that she'll get to you."
"But -"
"Please understand Haze. It's not safe and I can't go with you. I have to take care of some things."
I sighed and nodded at him, I know he won't change his mind now. But I really want to go to this party, maybe if I can go for a few minutes, Kayla won't get mad at me, and I'll come back home without Storm ever finding out.
I dialed the number and the call soon connected.
"Get to the mansion. We are going to the party."

The world isn't fair. If anything, the inherent injustice of the world is what separates it from the fiction we so adore. Luis Freighthold knew this all too well, and that was why it took a bit longer than it should have to realise when he suddenly had everything he could ever have wanted. Raised in a working-class single-father home, Luis had no other escape than fiction. Specifically, vampire stories of varying quality and genre. There was something appealing about the ability to fly, turn into shadows and become smoke. Danger. An unfamiliarity with the social world that rejected him so. Was it so wrong for him to hope for a different life? Maybe, maybe not. Either way, now he had it—a lust for blood and abilities beyond the understanding of civil man. Could you really say that he had anything left to complain about? A vampire story following an unconventional vampire boy forced to accept that maybe becoming a vampire doesn't magically solve all your problems. As a matter of fact, it might just make a whole bunch of them even worse. Regardless, Luis is prepared to try everything to live up to the vampire books he had previously gorged on. What did it matter that his vampire form had no teeth, replaced instead by a long, needle-tipped tongue? He was still a vampire, wasn't he? Chapters are around 10 A4 pages long, releasing once a week on Mondays, 01:00 CET.
