《Outlander》Chapter 31

"You look ravishing, darling." Loki greeted, nodding my head, "I know. Inborn." I replied, hearing a soft laugh from him as I applied a moisturiser.
Looking at my reflection, I was wearing a white halter top, black cardigan, a pair of black wide leg pants, and a pair of black boots.
My eyes drifted to Loki, smiling at him as an idea popped out of my head, "Loki, baby, your lips seem dry." I said, Loki then touched his lips, "Is that so?" He asked.
Nodding my head, "Here let me help you." I answered. Lean forward, tiptoed a bit and connect our lips.
I was about to let go when Loki snaked his hand on my waist, the other on the back of my head, pulling me closer to him as he deepened the kiss.
The kiss was slow at first and then with a swift gradation of intensity that made me cling to his arm. His insistence on parting my lips, exploring my mouth, and our tongue clashing together challenging each other for dominance.
Loki broke the kiss, our forehead touching each other breathless from what happened, "Oh, you're such a temptress, darling. You drive me insane." He whispered in my ear, my body shivered hearing his deep, husky voice.
Giggling at him, "There, not so dry anymore." I mumbled, hearing him laugh as he pulled me closer to him.
"Where are you going?" He asked, caressing my face, leaning to his touch and closing my eyes. Humming feeling his cold but yet warm touch.
"I want to see Claude today. I just miss that kid." I answered, a kiss landed on my cheeks as I opened my eyes, "You really care for that little creature." He commented, giggling at what he said.
Raising my eyebrow, "Oh my, Is the God of Mischief perhaps, jealous over a kid?" I teased, feeling him squeeze my waist.
"I'm not." He replied, laughing at his obvious jealousy, "Oh don't be, darling. He reminds me so much of my brother. They have the same name too." I said, gasping as he placed a butterfly kiss on my neck.
My eyes widened while Loki gave me a mischievous smile, "Be sure to come back before sunset. I'll definitely miss my temptress." He whispered, nodding my head, "Will do, darling." I replied, earning a kiss on the forehead.
☘
"Peter?" I asked, my eyes widened seeing a bruise on his left eye not really expecting to see him, "What happened to you?" I asked, alarmed, Peter gave me a small smile.
"Who did that?" I added, raising my eyebrow, "Oh, U-um... Well, this..." He started, averting his eyes away, "I-it's nothing. I just bumped my face at my locker." He reasoned out.

"Is that so?" I asked, nodding his head, "Yeah." He replied, "So, what are you doing here?" I asked, standing in front of him.
Making sure that no one was watching us, hovering my hands, seconds later the bruise disappeared. Peter smiled, saying his thanks to me plus a quick kiss on the cheek.
"Well, school finished earlier." He answered, gently grabbed my hand and intertwined it with mine. "Homework?" I asked, "Done." He replied, adjusting the strap of his bag using his other hand, "How's May?" I asked, "She's fine." He answered as we walked towards the orphanage.
"Ben?" I asked again, "Also fine." He replied, "Who did that?" I asked, "Flash." He unconsciously replied, "I see. Thank you for answering my questions." I said, his steps halted, chuckling at his reaction.
"You tricked me." He accused, "Did not, you answered it wholeheartedly, bud." I replied, smirking at him.
Hearing him exhale a sigh, "Relax. I won't do a thing." I said, smiling at him, "How about you, what are you doing here?" He asked, "Well, I'll be visiting the orphanage." I replied, pointing at the building.
"Oh, by the way, you look beautiful." He mumbled, giggling at him, "Why, thank you kind sir. You flatter me." I replied, winking at him as we both arrived at the orphanage.
The Sisters greeted me with a smile, saying how they miss me, I also introduced Peter to them and to the children. He was very shy at first, stuttering if some kid would approach him and talk, but he eventually grew out of his shyness.
Smiling as I watch him playing and telling jokes to them, "Via." Claude called, averting my eyes to him, "I'm sorry, bud. Did you say anything?" I asked, shaking his head, "Nothing. I just missed you." He replied, shyly.
A smile automatically made its way to my lips, gently grabbing him and letting him sit on my lap, "I missed you too, Claude." I said, engulfing him in an embrace.
The day ended with smiles and laughter, Peter enjoyed playing with the kids saying he'll visit them again, Claude clung to me the whole day, Peter and Claude playfully bickered, debating who's this and that.
"Penny for your thoughts?" Peter asked, interrupting my thoughts, "Oh, I just remembered what happened today." I answered.
Chuckling, hearing an annoyed huff, "Oh come on, he's just a kid." I said, smiling at him. Peter looked at me, "I hate him." He mumbled, earning a soft laugh from me.
"You don't." I commented, "Yeah, I don't." He agreed, "Be careful. Send my regards to May and Ben." I said, Peter nodded his head.

Leaning towards him and placing a kiss on his cheek, "I'm happy I get to spend the day with you." I mumbled, smiling seeing a hint of faint blush on his cheeks.
Clearing his throat, "I-uh... Me too." He whispered as we said our goodbyes.
☘
A week passed and thankfully they let me use the gym, shaking my head remembering how they overly reacted when I was still in my period.
"Tired already?" I teasingly asked, clicking my tongue twice a mock smile forming on my lips, "Disadvantage of being an old man." I added, the room going instantly silent hearing what I said.
Biting my lips, stopping myself from laughing seeing their offended expressions.
Nat went beside me with a satisfied smirk on her face, "You might regret what you said, babe." She whispered in my ear, giggling as I looked around.
Humming as I leaned forward to her, "I'm not guilty tho." I replied, her smirk widened.
"I dare you to say that again, my queen." Thor said in his deep serious voice. He slowly approached us.
"Say that again when you can't properly walk anymore." Clint seconded, feeling Nat lightly tap my shoulder, "You brought that to yourself." She said, chuckling at me.
Looking at them - Steve, Tony, Clint, and Thor strides towards me, a nervous laugh escapes from me. "What's happening?" Loki asked, looking at us confusingly.
"She called us old man, brother." Thor replied, "I was just kidding." I instantly replied, Loki gave me a mischievous smile.
Shaking his head, "Oh, darling. What you just said was a mistake." He said.
"We're happy to prove to you what you said wasn't true, bunny." Tony commented, suggestively, raising his eyebrows and smiling at me, "After then, let's see if you can say that again, princess." Steve added.
Averting my eyes from them, my gaze found Nat, shrugging her shoulders, "I can help with that." She said to them, my eyes widened.
Jesus H. Roosevelt Christ
"I forgot I have something to do." I started, biting my lips and smiling at them. Quickly waving them goodbye as I teleported to Bruce.
"Via, hi. What brings you here?" He asked, quickly went to my side and hugged me. "Oh, escaping." I replied, hugging him back.
"Escaping?" He asked, furrowing his eyebrows, "From who?" He added as he let me sit down on a chair, "JARVIS don't tell them where I am." I instantly said, "Please lock the door. Don't let them in." I added, hearing Bruce chuckle.
"What did you do?" He asked, shaking his head with a smile on his lips, "Oh, me? Nah, did nothing." I replied, giving him an innocent smile.
Raising his eyebrow as he stares at me, "Via." He muttered, clicking my tongue in disapproval, "Okay, I was just kidding. I didn't mean to call them old." I whined.
"A what?" He asked, "Old man." I whispered, "And who heard you?" He asked again, seemingly enjoying my predicament.
"Thor, Clint, Steve, Tony, and Loki." I answered, exhaling a sigh, "Nat?" He added, "She was there too but she said she'd help them prove that they're not old." I replied, hearing him stifle his laugh.
"Don't laugh at me." I cried, "Sorry can't help it. What made you think calling them old will benefit you?" He teased, "Well, I understand them. I don't mind proving that I'm not old either." He added, my eyes widened at what he said.
Lightly smacking his shoulder, "Robert Bruce Banner." I said, earning a laugh from him.
"Got her." an arm snaked on my waist, "You can't escape us, darling." feeling him whisper in my ear, my body shivered from the contact, glancing at Bruce, "Traitor." I said, Loki and Bruce laughed and second later, my mates arrived at Bruce's Lab.
"So shall we start, my queen?" Thor asked, a squeal came out of my lips as Loki led the way following behind him my soulmates who's smirking at me.
"Where are we going?" I nervously asked, "You know where, sweetcakes." Clint replied, winking at me.
☘
"How long do I have to endure not having her in my arms?! I was supposed to have her the minute she woke up!"
"Sire, I'm afraid someone is protecting her."
"PROTECTING HER?! AND WHO DARE KEEP HER AWAY FROM ME! SHE'S MINE THE MOMENT I LAID MY EYES ON HER!"
"We will do our best to get her for you, Sire."
"If you fail to get her this time. I will not hesitate to get her myself."
"Yes, Sire. We will surely get her this time."
"Bring her to me, unscathed. And if I see a small scratch or bruise on her. I will kill everyone, including you."
"Yes, Sire."
"Now, go! Bring her back to me! Where she rightfully belongs to."

Old Riding Author Lunatic Asylum
Just off the A19, in the dark, incomprehensible lands known as Yorkshire, there lies a town. A town where shadow-silent alleys glint with the secret hunger of knives. Where blood soaks the chipboard window shutters of forsaken terraces stretching off into the night. Where the smog-choked air rattles with the depraved laughter echoing out from clubs that can only generously be described as post-apocalyptic. Well, that’s Middlesbrough. But down the A19 a bit (an impossibly long way down, actually) there lies another town: Raughnen, in the ancient, forgotten Old Riding. It is an equal match in muggery and thuggery alike. It also has magic spells and pointy wizard hats. And now, across the miles and across all sensibilities, a pretty nasty power (a magic one) calls out for its pretty nasty counterpart (a decidedly unmagic one): a proper sound Boro lad. Nothing good can come of it. This is a collection of one novella and four connected short stories: I. A Yorkshire Summoning II. Old Riding Day Trip (the novella) III. Heaven is a Parmo IV. Death on the 66 V. Death on the 257 In total, this comprises 34 chapters totalling around 35,000 words, so try not to worry. It will be over relatively quickly. There are three more short stories with more tenuous links to the core collection: Rush, Paper Round and Scenario 79: Sausage Fingers, all of which can be found in my collection Short Records of Misadventure. Reading these may allow you to make more sense of certain parts of the story, if any sense is to be made at all. NOTE: There are instances of prejudice and discrimination within these stories, including elements of sexism and ageism, which are purely the thoughts and actions of the characters involved and which certainly do not reflect my own views on these matters. ANOTHER NOTE; A WARNING, PERHAPS: This can get a bit weird. In less than 150 pages, we have four viewpoints, first and third person narratives, and a completely disjointed plot with lots of gaps, dead ends and no real resolution. Also ZERO lunatic asylums. It's all a bit odd. If that sort of thing isn't your cup of tea, which it most likely isn't, it might be best to move on now.

The Chronicles of Artharian Dagworth
Back in 2020 there were many theories on how the world would end. From the many religions apocalypses, nuclear wars that would leave the planet inhabitable, global warming doing the same, biological weapons getting out of control, viruses mutating into unstoppable diseases to the dead raising to prey on humanity, either due to a virus or just because hell filled up. Also, aliens, from the war mongering kind to the ones so advanced they didn’t see us as more than worms. And of course there was the fail proof theory that the world would end when the sun died. In a bunch of billion years give or take. Althougth some new scientist were discussing if the end would be on the take side, since when the sun started dying things would go haywire on the entire solar system and we would collide with mercury or maybe mars way before the expanding sun engulfed earth. But I digress… Now, those were the mainstream theories that the everyday Joe, who didn’t know the big secret, worried about. So, if you were to ask me which theory was correct I can tell you that I haven’t seen any little green man, at least not from another planet, and so far the sun is still shining, although it’s been only 9 years since everything went to hell, not the few billions (give or take) the scientist predicted, so that one isn’t ruled out yet. These two aside, I'd say all of them. Hey everyone, this is my first attempt at writing. I have been planning to do it for a really long time, and while this is not the one epic fantasy idea I ever wanted to write, I think it's a good one. The plan is to write an end of the world urban-fantasy series. Think a world like Dresden Files, Alex Verus, Iron druid, where magic is real but exist hidden from society meets the apocalypse. It will be written in first person in the Dresden Files style, no plans for other POV for now. As you probally alredy guessed from my style, english is not my first langague, so while google corrector helps, expect grammar errors, and I'd be gratefull for anyone to point them. I plan to write 2 to 3 chapters a week, 2000-4000 words each. Might change as I get more experience and depends on my free time. Cover image from the colections of getwallpapers.com

Letters from Shanti Ashram, India
I lived in India from 1984-2005, and wrote to my parents regularly about my adventures in Indian ashrams. From 1984-1993 and again 2001-2005, I was living in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh, and I am adding all of those my "Letters from India" book, which will mainly be of interest to those familiar with Prasanthi Nilayam, the ashram of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. However, from 1994-2001 I was staying at a wonderfully spiritual, quiet retreat called Shanti Ashram, and I am putting the letters I wrote to my parents while staying there, on this book. The ashram was a dream come true for sadhana. The people are welcoming, it is usually never crowded, and they offer separate cottages to aspirants. The rates are donation basis only.
