《Outlander》Chapter 10

Slowly opening my eyes as the sun directly hits my face, grunting as I cover my face with my hands, "There she is." Fergus said, hearing rushed footsteps nearing me.
"We were so worried about you, we thought HYDRA got you." Ian said as I got up and he hugged me tightly.
"Rough night." James commented, as he looked at the cans of beer beside me, "Didn't you know you're a heavy drinker." He added, chuckling at what he said.
"Me too." I mumbled, earning a series of laughter from them, my eyes widened as I tightly held on Fergus' shoulder as he scooped me and they went inside while Fergus was carrying me.
"I can walk." I said as James and Ian shook their heads, rolling my eyes at them as they descended the stairs, "I'm heavy." I added, "You are?" Fergus asked, screaming as he playfully threw me up, hearing chuckles from James and Ian.
"I believe you are not. How much do you weigh? I feel like I'm carrying a feather." Fergus asked, "Asking a woman how much she weighs is an offensive question." I replied, "Really?" He asked, tilting his head to the side and continued to descend the stairs.
"That's why the beers were all gone." Ian said, giving him a sheepishly smile, "I surrender myself. Guilty of the accusation, Your Honor." I said as they shook their heads with smiles on their faces.
Later on as Fergus placed me down on the chair of the dining table, the aroma of food instantly came through me like a tsunami, Ian placed a soup in front of me, saying my thanks to him.
James then placed an aspirin beside the bowl, saying my thanks to him as he ruffled my hair, seconds later, the three of them joined me as we began our breakfast.
☘
Feeling refreshed after I took a shower, wearing a black pair of jeans, black crop top, and black slippers.
Sitting on the bed as I don't know what to do today especially that HYDRA is looking for me. Sighing as I plopped down on my bed.
"What the hell am I going to do today?" I mumbled as my phone rang, furrowing my eyebrows as I reached for it, an unknown number was calling me.
Pressing the answer button, placing it on my ear, "Via." My eyes widened hearing Claude's voice, "Claude." I said, "How did you get my number?" I asked, "I saw you gave your number to Sister EL, I borrowed it and called you." He replied as I smiled.

"I miss you, Via. When are you going to visit again?" He asked, "I miss you too, Claude. I'm having a situation right now where I can't visit you, but I will soon, okay?" I said, "Okay." He replied.
I can't afford to drag Claude or the orphanage in my own mess.
Hours passed by as Claude and I continued to talk and eventually Sister Cristine caught him, Sister Cristine and I talked for a few minutes before we bid our goodbye and ended the call.
Looking at the time, it was already lunch, I went downstairs, furrowing my eyebrows as the house was quiet.
Heading towards the kitchen, a note posted at the fridge, approaching it and reading the message.
We have a mission. We'll go back after this. Be careful. -J
Smiling at the note as I opened the fridge, grabbing butter, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and flour. I started to make a batter for the madeleine, after minutes of mixing the ingredients, grabbing the pan, mixing melted butter and a pinch of flour, coating the pan with it.
Pouring enough batter to the pan, putting a cover on the bowl of the extra batter, and storing it inside the fridge, I placed the pan inside the oven and waited.
After baking it for 9 minutes, removing it from the oven, letting it cool for a few minutes, I grabbed a plate placing the madeleines and sprinkled it with powdered sugar.
"Yum." I mumbled, grabbing a milk and pouring it on a glass, holding the plate and the glass I headed towards the living room, turning on the television as I took a sip of the milk.
'And now for entertainment news. A woman saved a boy and an elder lady from a near death experience.'
Coughing as I almost spit the milk, watching a video of myself tending the boy and the elder woman. Placing the glass on the table, wiping my mouth with the back of my hand and grabbing the remote as I change the channel.
Rolling my eyes, as I saw a video of myself again. My eyes widened and my breath hitched, seeing Tony on the television doing some live interview.
'I would like to say thank you to this girl, it turns out she helped my assistant. Without her, my company would have been in great jeopardy as important files were inside her bag that day. I would also like to thank you personally if you ever see this, then feel free to contact and meet me. You know who my assistant and bodyguard is.' he said, looked at the camera and winked afterwards.

Scoffing, biting the inside of my cheeks and rolling my eyes, "So much for staying lowkey." I mumbled as I grabbed a madeleine and took a bit of it.
Sighing as I closed my eyes, leaning my head at the couch while I continued to eat the madeleines.
"Now, I don't want to go out ever again." I mumbled, grabbing another madeleine and eating it.
Jolting as hearing the door open, James, Fergus, and Ian entered, alarmed seeing them full of cuts, scratches and wounds. Quickly standing up as I approached them.
"What happened?" I asked, assessing their injuries, "Someone ambushed us." James replied as my eyes widened, noticing a bullet wound on his arm.
"You should all sit down." I said and quickly left to fetch the first aid kit, stopping at my tracks as I remembered that I can heal them with my powers, scoffing as I went back to the living room.
"What happened?" I asked, seeing Ian grabbed a madeleine and ate it, "Someone sabotaged our mission. A rat in our team." James replied.
"Let me take a look." I said and assessed James first for any injuries, "I have to take the bullet out on your arms. This will hurt a little." I said, "I'm used to this kind of pain." He replied.
Exhaling a breath as I looked at him, "Ready?" I asked, "Yeah." He answered as I hovered my hand on his wound, I began to heal him, earning a groan from him and seconds later, the bullet came out, concentrating on healing the wound as it slowly closed.
James exhaled a sharp breath and leaned on the couch, a bed of sweats can be seen on his forehead, "Let me check if there's more." I said as he nodded his head and closed his eyes.
As I checked him and healed the small cuts on his arms and body, patting his shoulder, "You're okay. Take a rest and eat more protein-rich foods." I said as he nodded his head.
I next check Fergus as he thankfully only receives a few scratches on his arms and legs, the same as Ian.
Sitting beside them as I grabbed a madeleine and continued to watch the television.
'Who is this girl?'
Rolling my eyes as another video of me appeared on the television.
"Looks like everyone is finding you, Via. Even Tony Stark is finding you. Giving his thanks publicly." Ian said as I sighed.
"Yeah, what a grand gesture." I mumbled and ignored the news as they continued to talk about me.
"Every doctor will do that, geez." I commented, "But they're not as brave as you are operating someone without hesitation." Fergus said.
"Is it bad to help someone?" I asked, "Nope, but you definitely took the interest of everyone and a certain someone named Tony Stark." He replied, exhaling a sigh.
"I just stretched out my leg and made the thief tripped, that's all." I said as I reached for my milk, "Even the smallest action can make a big difference." James said as he opened his eyes and looked at me.
"You did good, Via. We're proud of you." He added and ruffled my hair, "Now, our only problem is that HYDRA will find you." Ian said, looking at the television.
"Buy me a hair dye and a pair of contact lenses." I said, "The only thing that stands out to me the most is my hair and eyes." I added, looking at the television as they pinpoint the peculiar color of my hair.
"Thankfully, no one saw my soulmarks, except the three of you." I continued as they nodded their heads, Fergus stood up, raising my eyebrow and tilting my head to the side.
"I'll be back. I'll just buy those." He said, "Wait, are you okay now?" I asked, giving me a smile as he flexed his muscles, "Of course, you healed me." He said as I shook my head and chuckled.
"Be careful." I said as he nodded his head, gave me a salute and left, "What are these?" Ian asked as he continued to eat the last madeleine.
"Madeleine." I replied as he nodded his head, "And you made these?" He asked, "Yes. Do you want to eat more?" I asked, Ian looked at me as his eyes sparkled, "Yes, please." He answered, earning a soft laugh from me.
Looking at James as he was fast asleep, signaling to Ian to quiet down, nodding his head, Ian grabbed a blanket draping it over James' body, followed me to the kitchen as I made more madeleine to feed this big baby.
