《Secrets! JImin FF》Chapter 1

A sharp breath escaped your lips before you inhaled a deep breath which you were in urgent need of as you were running as fast as you could. Your throat hurting from the harsh breathing you were taking from your mouth till you finally reached inside your apartment building.
You rested your palm against the wall before pressing to call the elevator, being in need of some support but the urge inside you kept ushering you so you ended up not being able to wait for it since it seemed to be very slow. Your fit turned around and hurriedly you decided to run up the stairs, sacrificing some more of your breathing that was already suffering on the process.
Your chest felt in pain by the time you finally rang the doorbell of the apartment you were living, your breathing being more messed up than your thoughts were at that instant. You sure looked exhausted, your hair all over the place, making you regret the fact that you hadn't tied them up before leaving the house and sweat could be seen dripping from your forehead, displaying perfectly the state of your physical condition.
Thankfully it didn't take long for your mom to open the door and you run upstairs to your older sister's room where she was waiting for you to bring her the dress that she forgot to pick up on her way home. The one you had literally lost your breath in order to get it on time for her.
You handed the shopping bag with the beautiful dress which your sister had chosen for her engagement after-party, and then tired as you were, you allowed your body to slammed on the bed, your chest rising up and down in a rapid rhythm as you were trying to catching up your breath, having run 3 blocks to get to the store before it's closing time.
"Thanks, little sis, you are the best."
Your sister told you with a smile you as she took the dress and headed to the bathroom to wear it. And all you did was wave a bit at her, slightly raising your hand from the bed as you didn't move from your position, feeling really tired and out of energy.
"Y/n, you have to get ready too. Get up and fix yourself." Your mother reminded you as she grabbed your hand and helped you stand up.
You grunted between your teeth as you really were not in the best of moods, having had a pretty anxious and tiring day so far. Starting from the morning in which you had attended two job interviews which carried your hopes for your future and a better establishment in this city which you didn't have long that you had returned to. Leaving aside the stressful hours that you had to spend being interviewed while you were losing your sister's actual engagement, you had returned home to an older sister who was freaking out because of the things she had to take care of for the after-party. Things that had occupied her head and made her forget important details such as her own dress. After going through all that you just didn't found it necessary to attend the engagement party anymore.
She did get engaged without you there after all so why was it necessary for you to attend the after-party if you weren't in the real thing. However, you didn't dare speak to your mom of ll those contradicting thoughts you had and just stood up and left the room, heading to do what she asked of you.

After taking a quick shower cause the time was against you, you quickly opened the closet and picked some normal clothes that someone would say could not be considered appropriate for your sister's engagement party but you didn't care as long as you felt comfortable enough in them.
You brushed your hair well, whining a bit at the fact that they had gotten way too tangled and then decided to let them loose, not caring much and skipping makeup as you do most of the time.
Even though earlier you had planned to put some on and doll yourself up for such an occasion, seeing the time limit made you to not try at all and run back to your sister's room to check if she and your mother were ready.
Once in the room, your attention went immediately at your sister who was sitting on the chair, looking breathtaking in the beautiful dress that was simple but suited her perfectly.
A smile grew on your face as you kept looking at your sister who was smiling so happily and brightly.
On the other hand, once your mother saw what you were wearing, the smile that she was also wearing faded, and she proceeded to blinked a few times at the image you in front of her.
"Y/n, you will come like that ??!!"
"Yeah, Why?"
You looked at yourself wondering what was wrong with what you were wearing. They were not stained anywhere, were they?
"Hey,Sis seriously! That's all you have in that closet of yours?"
Your sister said, not hesitating to get up and head to her closet to find a dress for you, instead of the skinny blue ripped jeans and the plain baggy t-shirt that you were wearing.
"No way you are gonna attend my party like that. Here, wear this quickly."
Your sister shoved you a dress and your mom pushed you out to go change as quickly as possible before they run late.
"But-B-But" You tried to protest while you were being pushed out but of course, it was to no avail, as you knew well that especially today, you couldn't go against your mother's nor your sister's wishes. With a deep exhale you returned to your room where you put the dress on as quickly as you could but when you got back to your sister's room you found only a note waiting for you.
Sorry, the driver came, we couldn't make him wait.
I called you a taxi to pick you up, it will be there in a minute.
PS: The address is on a note in your bag in the living room.
Don't be late
-Sujon.
Another exhale escaped your lips, this one being more of annoyance at that point but none the less you quickly found this as something positive as you had more time to yourself and to get ready properly. You returned back to your room and sat down to put a little makeup on since your time was expanded and fix your hair a little more.
After all, now you were wearing a dress so you should look the part.
After a while, your attempts on bettering your looks came to an end and you proceeded to take a look at your mirror. A sight that left you satisfied and allowed you to walk out of your room and down the stairs, grabbed your bag, and put on your shoes, that were not high heels since you really can't walk well in them.

You stopped once more at the door and checked yourself at the mirror that was covering the left wall.
The reason you keep checking yourself was not because you liked it too much or anything like that, it's just that you had always been uncomfortable in dresses and even though this white dress complements your figure a lot, you would rather go back to your jeans but if you do that your mom and sister would eat you alive, so you left that thought go.
It's just one more day. It will end. We can get through this and then I will rest to my heart's content.
You encouraged yourself before getting out of the main door, having decided to wait for the taxi outside.
---Time skip---
Finally, after some asking around you found the place that your sister had left the address to, and after a check at the door that you had to go through, you managed to enter the gates of the beautiful mansion that your sister's fiance owns.
He was a really rich guy and rather handsome as you know from what your sister keeps claiming about him since you never had had the opportunity to meet him yourself to judge if her words had a base or were just a woman's in love words.
He comes from a wealthy family and the fact that someone like him is actually engaged to your sister was really a miracle considering the differences in the class level that your families held and all.
But honestly, that fact made you rather happy knowing that your sister won the heart of such an important guy. It made you believe in fairy tales and in your eyes, your sister was like a modern Cinderella.
You admired her for finding the love of her life at such a young age as she was only twenty-five. Not like you, who gave her virginity at a random guy you met once at a club in New York.
You were not some kind of easy girl nor you were a girl that went out searching for adventures. For you, It was more than a one-night thing. No matter how absurd it may sound to some, for you, it was love at first sight and you still kept hoping that one day you could find him since your heart belonged to him and only him despite not have seeing him in hears and not even knowing his name fully.
Yes, it sure sounded ridiculous but it was the truth and you couldn't lie to yourself about that. However, there were moments that you felt hopeless on the matter as finding him again was practically impossible.
You will probably die alone but you preferred that thought over being in a relationship with someone that you didn't fully care for and as such that relationship it would surely fail.
Your sister and her Fiance had been together for a year and even though in this year they had a 2 months break up- as your sister had told you- they managed to solve their issue and get back together. They had passed their test of differences because they cared for each other. Or that's what you believed that holds relationships together.
As Sujon was living her life in Seoul, you were studying in America and this year you had finished you had taken the decision to return back home and find yourself a job. Settle permanently and look after your life
It has been 2 months that you were living with your family again and you never thought your sister's life could have had so much going on but you were glad that now you are here for her and part of her life again.
Lost in your thoughts as you were, you failed to realize that you had reached inside the venue, till some voices entered your ears and you looked around at the crowd for a minute before proceeding to spot your sister or your mother somewhere and once one of them fell to your sight, you didn't hesitate to make your way to her.
Your mother was talking with an older couple that you assumed by their looks to be the in-laws, so you halted a bit and straightened yourself up a bit before approaching them, greeting them politely, with a deep respectful bow.
Your mother introduced you to them and they seemed rather happy to be meeting you and of course, you tried to look as pleased as them out of mannerisms.
You kept chatting for a while and their politeness and kindness really won your heart and sympathy and that was something big because you were not easy to get along with people much more get a liking on people so easily before knowing them well at least.
The conversation was flowing nicely till suddenly your mother waves at someone and called them over making you look at the direction she was glancing towards.
As you did so you came in view with a crowd of people that started splitting up, your sister soon coming to view as she was walking side by side -having her hand-linked- with the Man beside her.
Once your eyes landed at him, your breath was cut instantly and cold sweat felt like it covered every inch of your body while your soul bid you goodbye.
The man you never thought you will see again in your life. The man that you gave your everything that night was standing was right there. The man that stole your heart with one look only.
"Y/N, Let me introduce you to my Fiance, Park Jimin. "
