"Nooooooo" I screamed loudly. They killed her. They killed her, this can't happen. She was alive. The attention turned to me now. Everyone was looking at me.

"Noooo, you can't do this. She was here, she was alive. You can't kill her. Hand her to police. She can't be dead. No, you are a murdered, how can you murder someone so mercilessly. No, I can't stay here. No No No." I said this while taking the steps backward. Everyone was looking at me. Some people had pity in their eyes, some had mercy. Some were smirking, but above all, Ayan stood there with a blank face. How could he do this? I had started accepting him, everything was going in right direction, and then how could he do such thing. This was too much for me. My head started spinning and soon darkness took over me. I just remembered Ayan coming towards me while I was falling and he whispered "It's okay" before I passed out. 

When I woke up, I was in my room, on my bed, in the same clothes which I had worn on that so called date. That wasn't a date, that was a trap; he took me there to witness a murder. I was still in trauma, and to increase that, I just look at the note on the side table. I opened it, it read

"Sorry Love

I did not intend to witness you something like that, but it was important, for our future; for your safety. Everyone must know that they cannot get away easily by harming you. I introduced you to my world, now you will be chased by my enemies, so it was more important to do something like that to keep you safe. I apologise for not telling you the truth earlier.

I know you are in shock, so I'll give you some time to recover from it. I know you will not want to see me for a few days after this incident. So, I'll give you some time to recover. We have our marriage in a few days time, and i can't wait for that.

I was terrified now. What will I do? I cannot marry him. No, he killed a person in front of my eyes, he is a devil. I'll have to do something. I get up and changed into some more comfortable clothes. Then I tiptoed out of my room with that letter. When I didn't find anyone in the passageway, I opened the door and peeped out, 2 men were standing outside my house, maybe guarding my house. I tiptoed back in my room, and climbed out of the window. I somehow managed to get out of the house and ran towards the police station. I reached there out of breath. A policeman looked at me and asked me what happened

"I.. I want to file a complaint. I have seen someone getting murdered."

"Ohh Ohkay, come with me." That policeman then directed me to the Officer's room

The officer offered me a seat and asked me to tell what happened in detail.

"Sir, there is this guy named Ayan Malhotra. He is in the mafia. He has done a lot of bad things, he beat one of my friend, kidnapped me, forced me for marriage and yesterday, he killed a girl. I even have this letter which he wrote to me after yesterday's incident. Sir, he is very dangerous to the society. He has also threatened to harm my family. Please arrest him and punish him." I said it one go. My mind felt so relaxed after telling this to someone.

"Umm ohkay ma'am. I got it. He will be in our custody soon. But we need you for the witness when he will be arrested. So I am afraid, you'll have to wait here, till we go and catch him. I assure you that you will be safe here." Police inspector said this genuinely. It was even good for me. He might kidnap me again if I go out. Police will keep me safe. So I agreed and they showed me their interrogation room for a while which was empty. They also offered me some snacks which I offered gladly because I hadn't have anything since yesterday's lunch.

I had snacks and then my mind drifted to various thoughts. What will happen now? Will the police be able to catch him? Will I be able to speak against him? He murdered someone, he must be punished. But what if he will come to harm my family after this? No, I'll ask for the police protection. Then he won't be able to harm me. I can live my life peacefully then. I will be free. Free from this life. Free from all the forceful activities. I can then do whatever I want with my life. All these thoughts were running in my mind with just one question. What if the police fail? What if he uses his power to prove himself innocent?

A sudden commotion outside disturbed my train of thoughts. It seemed that a lot of people have suddenly entered the police station. I was feeling nervous. What will happen? My anxiety was taking over best of me. I was eager to see a murderer behind the bars. Suddenly, the room opened and entered the person I feared the most. Ayan was standing there in all his glory carrying his signature smirk.

The terror returned..
