The Empty Valley Cries Unheard
The stories can be read at any order. Phew, this story was finally finished at last! What could I say, it was a hell of a ride when I wrote it from the beginning to end. Thanks for having me on RR :D All the current chapter had already done a run on Grammarly, so hopefully it'd be more readable. ...kinda feeling lazy so calling off the edits for now. A couple of old / new attempts of combining Horror, Comedy and Absurdist elements. I'm not very good at writing Horror stories but I'd like to try once in a while. Although the first chapter may be completely screwed up, believe me--I mostly write fluffy gay scenes between two girls. It would PROBABLY become a lot lighter as we moved up the chapter count. Not for the faint of heart, but if you're like me who like some absurd or nonsensical stories, this might be right up your alley. Everybody tends to forget that big things grow from small things, and little things are always changing in Veritas.The human country of Quarternell is at peace for the first time in... ever. Aspen, a former war hero, feels like he’s earned a quiet life together with his animal companions. They’re tired of fighting, and other people in general. They plan to live peacefully, far away from the city. As soon as Aspen figures out this farming thing out, he’s never going to go anywhere again. Unfortunately for Aspen, his country and his goddess aren’t quite done with him yet.Rouge the Rogue is a casual gamer in Veritas Online. She’s just a kid, and her focus is supposed to be on school and hanging out with friends. Emphasis on ‘supposed to’. She’s already pretty good at the school thing, and she doesn’t actually have that many friends. What she really loves is exploring all the cool ways the developers of Veritas found to make their game unique and realistic. Then she’s offered a very special quest, and an opportunity to go beyond the average player. She’s never been that much of a rule follower anyway....Clearing is appropriate for most ages. It has minimal foul language, no sex, and some violence. It is LGBTQ+ friendly. (P.S. IMPORTANT! This book contains very mild profanity, no sex, and is meant to be FUN. Yes, the characters sometimes think Deep Thoughts, and idealism pretty much runs rampant, but, in the end, I hope you just enjoy reading it. Laugh, cry, share it with your kids, read it to your dog, whatever makes you happy. My goal is for it to be accessible to everyone from ages 12ish on up, so you could definitely consider it YA, but with lots of big words because I don't believe in talking down to my readers.) Book Two: Harrowing (Starts after the original Chapter Fifty, now Sixteen, since I condensed chapters from the same perspective together.) Zoey has started her summer internship at Veritas Corporation, and she can honestly say that being an adult is boring. Until she starts learning secrets she was never supposed to know. In game, Rouge is finally making progress on her big quest. Apparently Duke Penbrooke took too long to return to the world, so the world is coming to get him... in the form of a few assassins. Aspen is going to have to face the life he left behind, and deal with the fact that it's not as easy being 'dead' as he thought. When what he'd hoped would be a short trip back to civilization to resupply turns into a whole lot more, he'll have to fight for his life, his friends, and his kingdom. Book Three: Sowing Rouge and Aspen have reached Bright, only to find that their enemies were already expecting them. They will have to quickly unravel the mysteries of who their opponents actually are, because they're already ten steps behind. Rouge and Aspen are finally home, but that doesn't mean they can return to their peaceful days of farming. Their enemies are hot on their heels and determined to destroy everything they've managed to achieve. Join them and all their friends for the final volume of Legendary Farmer.

Synopsis- Dying due to what seemed to be an unavoidable drunken punch, Connor Connolly a 24-year-old man from England who is a little different when compared to the "normal public" keeps those differences along with a few additions when his soul transmigrates into a fantasy world of numerous opportunities compared to the mundane life of the earth where boredom was rife. His only asset? His mind and most importantly his imagination which he must maintain with practical knowledge from his previous life! Will his previous life's fascination with gathering what seemed to be random wildlife knowledge assist this hope for survival in the upcoming trials he faces that are beyond his imagination or make his situation worse because his past life knowledge is not always best in the world he has found himself a part of... All he has to go on are the words of the God who he heard from when he arrived in this crazy world and said "blessings" rewarded to him by this God. [Stupid human, I do not have time for your mortal questions, so I will give you the basic rules” of my planet. They are “evolve to improve oneself for yourself” and for you a unique ability that can be likened to your so-called concept of “customization” to further adapt oneself to the environment and for you to use your so-called “advantage of being reborn with your past life experience and knowledge”. Beware though, the strength you gain will balance itself out when compared to the aboriginals for the system I have created over my lifetime is perfection embodied] This is less brief in the actual prologue by the way as it also serves the purpose of giving you an idea of the world that Connor has been thrown into... :P Schedule: 2-3 Chapters a week, however, there could be more chapters released on some occasions.

Brad Wu was just another boring schmuck like you and me until the fateful day he met his pet horse Betsy. The horse's speedy demise and cremation will lead Brad down a highly unlikely path full of cultists, slavers, alien gods, and abnormally terrible luck. But it seems that the horse isn't ready to be killed off just yet, as a strange twist of events has Brad accidentally inhaling the beast's ashes. Turns out that when snorted, horse ashes bestow incredible strength, speed, regenerative powers, and the ability to speak to ghosts. For a little while, at least. Follow him and his bizarre gang as they journey across Canada to the fabled city of Calgary in pursuit of fame, followers, and freedom. There's no way this story ends well.
