ALEC

"How do we save him?" I asked not one in particular. My mind was completely focused on Jace. He looked so pale. "I...I dont know Alec." Clary stuttered. She was still in shock of what had happened. I knew she felt terrible for what had happened, but I couldnt think about that now.

"I think I do." I heard a strange voice say. I looked towards the door to see who the intruder was. There was a girl who looked like she was in her early twenties. Her long golden brown hair fell just passed her shoulders. Her face looked warm and inviting, but at the same time prepared and stubborn.

"Who are you?" I asked the stranger. She gave a small smile and replied. "My name is Rose."

"Alec?" I heard Izzy call my name. "Who are you talking to?" She asked me. I stared at her with a confused look. "What do you mean?" I asked her. She looked concerned. "Alec I think you should go get some rest." She said. I turned my head back towards where the girl was. She was gone.

"Maybe thats a good idea." I mumbled while getting up. I walked out the door and turned the corner. A small girl with golden brown hair caught my attention. It was a quick glance and the girl was gone. I followed where she last was.

I turned the next corner and caught another glance at her on the stairs going up. I ran a little faster to catch up.

When I reached the next level, there was no sign of her. I looked all around the room, but she wasn't there. I saw Raj joust about to walk downstairs, but I pulled him aside. "Have you seen a small girl, golden brown hair, come up here?" I asked him.

"Don't really care." He replied and kept walking. I rolled my eyes and started back for my room. It was just down the hall.

I walked in and locked the door behind me. I rubbed my hands over my face. "Am I losing my mind?" I internally asked myself.

"No. You're not losing your mind Alec." I soft voice said from across the room. I looked up immediately and pulled out my Seraph Blade. "Who are and why can I only see you?" I asked sternly. There was only silence. "Answer me!" I yelled at her.

"Jace was right. You are stubborn." She said with a chuckle. I hesitated slightly at the sound of his voice. "J-Jace?" I asked softly. She smiled sympathetically.

I watched as she gracefully stood up from the bed and walked over to me. She placed her hand gently on my parabatai rune. For a moment I was at peace, but I snapped back to reality. I jumped back away form her and pointed the blade at her once more. "Who are you?" I asked firmly.

"I am a part of you Alec. And Jace. Every thought, every word, every emotion, it goes through me. I am a part of the bond that binds you together.

"What?" I asked. I could feel my face getting pale.

"He needs you Alec. He is suffering in a bad way. Not only physically in Clary's body, but his own emotions form his past. He needs you." She repeated again.

"How do I help him?" I asked desperately. The Seraph Blade dropped to the ground with a loud sound.

She sighed. "The only way he can get out is by himself. You cant physically help him. But you can help him go back to reality." She explained.

"How?" I asked her.

"You may want to sit down for this." I nodded and sat down on the bed with her.
