ALEC
"I cant believe I got a night off." I said with my eyes closed. I heard a small chuckle from the other room. "I know. Its quite nice actually. Can you get this more often?" Magnus asked me and this time I laughed. "I wish. Its nice to not have to work at all." I told him.
I didnt need to open my eyes to know that Magnus was coming towards me. I felt him lift my heard up and he sat down. I smiled. It was really nice to not be stressed for once in my life.
A small knock at the door made me jump slightly. I looked up at Magnus and he shrugged his shoulders. This time we both got up and walked towards the door. Magnus's wards would have alerted him and normally if it was someone he knew they would have buzzed to get in... not knocked.
Blue sparks lit up Magnus's hands and I grabbed a small blade that was located near the front door. Magnus nodded his head at me and opened the door up. Magnus almost threw a burst of magic at the front door, but the familiar voice stopped us dead in our tracks.
"WHOA WHOA ITS ME!" Jace screamed at us while ducking so he wouldn't get hit. "Jace? What the hell are you doing here? And why didnt you buzz in?" I asked him. He didn't respond. He just walked straight through the front door and sat down on the couch. I noticed him put his hands together and his knees started shaking. "Jace?" I asked while going over to him. Magnus followed me.
I rested a hand on his shaking ones. "What's wrong?" I asked gently while waiting for his response. "I...I cant find them." He whispered to me. "Who?" Magnus asked. Jace shook his head. "Who cant you find Jace?"

"Izzy, Raphael, or Clary. They're not answering my calls or texts. Ive searched everywhere that Clary was patrolling tonight. And I went to Raphael's place and the Hotel. They just vanished and I... I cant find them." Tears slid down his face as he spoke. I had never seen him cry for something like this before.
Suddenly I felt a sharp pain go through my shoulder. My parabatai rune stung and I heard a noise. At first it sounded muffled, but I then heard it clearly. "ALEC!" I heard my name being called. Jace was reaching out. I looked up at Jace and he was still sitting there with shaking hands. I jumped back out of the way and threw my blade. "Magnus thats not Jace!" I said while moving even further out of the way. The blade went straight for the strangers head, but to my surprise the stranger caught it.
Magnus's palmed sparked blue again and he was just about to attack when he froze. I heard a snap of fingers come from the stranger. "Magnus?" I asked with worry. He didnt move. It was like he was completely unresponsive. He looked frozen. "Magnus?!" I asked again.
"He cant hear you." A child said. I looked back over to where "Jace" was standing and I saw a small girl. She smiled at me. "He is now under my control." She said. I took an angry step towards the girl. "I wouldn't do that if I were you. "She warned. I stopped in my tracks.
"With one snap of my fingers he can be gone." She said and my face went pale. I took as step back.
"Normally I like to do my torture a certain way, but today I'm feeling adventurous." She told me. I tried swallowing the lump in my throat, but that didnt work at all. I heard another snap come form her fingers.

Almost immediately Magnus began moving. I looked at him. He looked like a ghost, but his body was moving. "My dearest soldier," the girl started and Magnus turned to face her. "You have your orders." She said while backing away. "Good luck to you." She said to me while taking a seat on the couch. I heard a small spark coming from behind me and the next thing I knew I was thrown into the wall.
"Mag...Magnus." I said in pain. "Its not you." I told him. He didnt listen to me at all. His fingers sparked again and I jumped out of the way while the wall exploded. "Magnus!" I yelled at him. I was begging him to stop. He threw another spar of magic at me and it hit part of my leg. It began bleeding and I groaned in pain. By that time I had fallen to the ground. I knew there was no hope of me getting up.
Magnus came over to me with his magic building stronger and stronger each second. "Magnus. Its not you."I told him. Once again he didnt listen. In a split second his magic tore through my entire body knocking me unconscious. With the amount of magic he had thrown at me I knew he was unconscious too.
I had gone in and out of consciousness and each time I heard the familiar voices of Clary and Izzy. I could feel hands gripping my own, but the only one that really stood out was the hand that grabbed the back of my neck. "I'm so sorry Alec." I heard the voice say. It was the last thing I heard before I slipped away again.
