MAGNUS

I was awakened by loud crashing sounds that were coming from the kitchen. I chuckled to myself thinking that Alec probably tripped on himself and took everything down with him. He was always very clumsy.

I picked myself up off the bed and trudged out of the room. More crashing came, but it came from the living room this time. I rubbed my eyes and looked at the scene before me. I stopped dead in my tracks. Alec was running around the living room and kitchen throwing things behind him.

I watched in confusion. He continued to run and throw things to the floor. "Alexander are you trying to ruin everything in the house?" I asked him while laughing. His face was completely serious even as I was laughing. I knew something was wrong. "Alexander what is going on?" I asked him while walking towards him. He was still running.

I caught him just as he tried to pass me by. "MAGNUS! LET GO OR THEY WILL KILL ME!" He screamed. I shook my head even more confused. "Who's going to kill you, darling?" I asked him, but his eyes didnt meet mine. I watched him carefully and saw his eyes grow huge. "Magnus." He said under his breath in fear. I looked to where his gaze was. About 5 yards away was what looked like an army of spiders.

There were seven tarantulas in the front and about fifty smaller spiders behind them. In an instant they all began to move towards us at a rapid pace.

Immediately Alec broke through my hold and ran to the kitchen. He got up on top of the counter. I looked from Alec to the spiders then back up at Alec. In a split second I ran towards the counter too. It wasn't out of fear. I could snap them all away in a second. The reason why I didnt was because I was enjoying this to much.

I watched as the spiders rounded the corner one after the other. They quickly crawled over to the kitchen and started to climb up the cabinets. Alec let out a shriek and jumped to the next counter. He was standing right next to me. I debated throwing him onto the ground because he was trespassing on my counter space, but I knew I would never hear the end of it from him.

The spiders caught on that Alec had moved and they began to move towards him. They were smarted this time. They split up and went up every cabinet. Alec's eyes grew the size of bowling balls and he tried to leap for the couch in the the living room, but it was to late. I had used my magic to get myself to the couch, but Alec was stuck on the counter. He was surrounded. I watched as he looked all around him. The spiders had come up one by one and were closing in on him. "MAGNUS!" He screamed at me. The fear and pain in his voice was to much for me to handle. I knew it was time to end this. With a snap of my fingers each spider vanished.

I quickly walked over to the counter where Alec was still standing on. It looked as if he was frozen. "Alec?" I asked him. He didnt reply or move. I climbed up onto the counter next to him. He still didnt move. "Alec?" I asked again. Nothing. I grabbed his hand and he didnt even finch. He looked vacant. "Alec, you're scaring me." I said with worry in my voice. I wanted him to do something. Anything.

For one moment he was completely still and the next moment he was collapsed of top of me. "ALEC!" I yelled while catching him before he fell off the counter. I could feel his heart beat against me, but I was still worried he may have a heart attack or something.

I used my magic to hold Alec up while I jumped down off the counter. Then I slowly led him to the bedroom with my magic. I laid him gently onto the bed and waited for him to wake up once again.

It had to have been at least an hour or two before Alec regained consciousness. I let out a sigh of relief when I saw Alec slowly open his eyes.

"What happened?" He asked me in a hoarse voice. It had to have been from all the screaming he had done before. I walked over to his side and kneeled on the ground. I placed my hand on his shoulder as he tried to sit up.

"Apparently you were attacked by an army of spiders." I replied to him. I felt him tense up and I ran my hand up and down his arm trying to make him relax again. Once he calmed down I began again. "I'm sorry. I guess I had a little to much fun." I said with a small chuckle and a guilty smile. He gave me a reassuring smile.

"As long as those filthy creatures are gone than I'll be alright." He said while turning away from me. I could tell he wasn't being himself. "Alec?" I asked him. He ignored me and I felt a pang of guilt. "I'm sorry." I whispered to him. My eyes were filling with tears while I thought of losing him again.

He gave a loud sigh. "I guess you're just going to have to make it up to me." He said. I heard the smile playing around in his voice. He turned his head just enough so that I could see his face. His eyes were full of happiness, and a smile was dancing on his lips.

Immediately my thoughts were discarded from my mind. "What did you have in mind?" I asked him. He ran his hands over his face. "First and foremost you will spider proof the house." He said while pointing an accusing finger at me. "Done. Anything else?" I asked. He immediately became excited. "Home made Belgian Waffles, no magic, three day trip to Italy, and one....no two weeks off from work. I dont care what you have to do, I just want two weeks of peace." He said. I nodded my head at him. "Coming up." I said. With a wave of my hand Alec's schedule was cleared. I would have just snapped us to Italy right then and there, but he wanted waffles so I made my way towards the kitchen. I would do anything to make it up to him.

Before I could walk away though he caught my arm. "But first...." he started while pulling me, with all of his strength, onto the bed. I laughed as I landed on the pillow. "I'm exhausted." He said. I chuckled and closed my eyes as well.

"Magnus?" He asked me after a few moments. He was almost half asleep. "Yes Alec?" I answered. It took him a moment to answer. "You spider proofed the loft right?" He mumbled against his pillow. I ran my hand through his hair. "Yes darling. I did." He let out a sigh of relief and it was everything I could do to not laugh.

"When you wake, Belgian Waffles will be waiting for you." I whispered to him. His smile was all the answer I needed.
