"Magnus!" I yelled while banging on the door. Tears were rolling down my face as I continued to bang on the door. "Magnus! Please open up!" I cried. "Please." I whispered. I stopped knocking and slid onto the floor. I leaned myself against the wall right next to the door. More tears came to my eyes. If Magnus didnt open the door and help us, Alec would die.

"Isabelle?" I heard a voice say. I looked up and saw Magnus running towards me. Once he reached me he put his hand on my shoulder. "Isabelle, what's wrong?" He asked me in a worried tone. I looked up at him in relief. Suddenly the relief turned to panic and I got up quickly. "Magnus you have to come help us. Come on." I said while taking off. He pulled me back and spoke again. "Slow down Isabelle. What happened?" He asked me.

Tears rolled down my face even more than before. "It–it's Alec. He got attacked by a–" I was about to finish but he cut me off by opening a portal and pulling me through.

"Where is he?" He asked me with so much worry in his eyes. "Infirmary." I whispered. He took off leaving me alone to cry. I turned around and went up to my room.

MAGNUS

I ran down the halls of the Institute while blinking away my tears. I rounded the corner in time to see Jace. "Magnus." He said with a breath of relief. "Where is he?" I asked him with so much worry in my voice. I tried to hide it, but I couldnt. "In there." He replied with the same level of worry in his voice as in his eyes.

I opened up the door and it revealed Alec. I didn't want to look at him, but I couldnt look away either. His face was paler than the bed sheets. Under his eyes was dark purple from lack of sleep. His hair was matted down from his body trying to sweat the poison out. "Oh Alexander." I said quietly while going closer to the bed. I put his hand in mine. His hand was so hot it shocked me. I immediately touched his forehead. "He's burning up." I said out loud. I turned around and looked at Jace. "What happened?" I asked him.

"Demon got on top of him. It was tearing at his skin. He lost consciousness on the way here. We tried to call you, but you didn't reply." I looked back at Alec. "I'm so sorry." I whispered to Alec. "Please. Save my brother. I know you two aren't in a good place right now but please. Please save him." Jace begged me. I looked over Alec one more time before replying. It hurt me to see him like this. "He cant be healed here. We need to get him to my loft. Immediately." I said to him. He nodded. "Can he go through a portal?" I shook my head. "Every passing second he gets weaker and he is already to weak to portal." I replied.

I took out my phone and scrolled through the contacts before I found the one I needed. "Its Alec. I need to get him to my loft but we cant portal. He is to injured. Can you help us?" I asked into the phone. I was desperate. I gave a sigh of relief when the other voice answered 'yes.'

"Thank you. I owe you." I said into the phone before hanging up. I turned to Jace. "I'm going to portal back to my loft and get everything I need. Stay here until I call you. I may need your strength." I said to him. He nodded and I opened a portal. "Hold on just a little longer, Alec." I said. A tear fell from my eye, but I walked through the portal before anyone could see.
