《Demigods Meet Mortals》Meet Solangelo #2

'Oh gods can you stop playing Cheryl? I'm trying to focus here.' Will say through gritted teeth, though everyone in the Apollo cabin knew Will was not actually angry, he only ever got mad at himself for liking Nico, because he did not know if Nico liked him back. Cheryl rolled her eyes as she moved a strand of her short blond hair out of the way, 'Well you're only telling me to shut up because I painted Nico's name with a heart over the I on your notebook cover.'
Will narrowed his eyes, infirmary work forgotten on his bed. 'So what if that's why, what if Nico saw it? He would think I'm a stalker!' Cheryl cackled like a evil witch before walking out the cabin as it was her turn to teach archery to the younger campers. Will grumbled some not so flattering words in Italian about Cheryl, and that unfortunately, gave the other campers, specifically Austin Lake and Kayla Knowles, some ideas.
Unbeknownst to their brother-Will Solace-the Apollo Cabin weren't the only people at camp who could speak and understand Italian, and there was a reason why Will didn't know.
See, Austin and Kayla were very close friends with Mitchell and Lacy from the Aphrodite cabin, so they often got a little Aphrodite child on people. The two Apollo kids were always trying to get Nico to hear Will talking to someone about his crush on the son of Hades. But they wanted him to be speaking Italian, as Will talks more and louder when speaking Italian. And so, Austin and Kayla put their long-waited plan to action.
Austin nudged Will, beginning his part of the plan, bring Will to the infirmary front, which was usually empty as people would go in the side door for whatever reason.

Kayla had snuck out of the Apollo Cabin, and she headed to where Jason was, cleaning up the weapon's shed with Piper, it was their turn to monitor the shed that week. Kayla had memorised Nico's schedule, creepy, but necessary, which was why she knew that it was Nico's turn to monitor the shed the following week, and that he would be taking the shed keys from Jason and Piper right that moment.
'Thanks, see you guys around.' Nico muttered as he pulled the orange lanyard over his keys, the keys clinking together. Kayla tapped the son of Hades' shoulder, earning a glare from him in return.
Kayla was panting slightly from running to the other side of camp in less than five minutes. 'Di Angelo, you're needed at the infirmary.' Nico narrowed his eyes and frowned. 'For the last time, I didn't shadow travel or hurt myself.' The son of Hades say, arms crossed, Kayla thought of an excuse. 'Relax, you just need to fill out some papers.' At this Nico calmed down, and begrudgingly agreed to go, with Jason and Piper jumping up and down and sending thumbs up signs behind him.

Austin was grinning from ear to ear as he listened to Will rant about his crush on Nico, mainly because he could see the subject of their chatter heading over to the infirmary doors, which were right behind the two Apollo kids. Nico didn't seem to listen in to what Will was saying as he knew that Apollo kids could speak Italian, Will simply didn't know that it was Nico's first language. The son of Hades was about to walk past the two blonds, until he heard his name being mentioned by Will. Austin grinned deviously, he had seen Nico's shocked expression at hearing Will ramble on about how he liked Nico but the boy seemed to not like him back, how he never wanted Will to be his doctor whilst at the infirmary, how he would carry around an apple just to take a bite whenever Will went close, stating An Apple A Day Keeps The Demigod Doctor Away.

At that moment Will noticed Nico's staring at Will, looking rather amused. Austin had slowly backed away, and high-fives Kayla enthusiastically before they spied on future Solangelo together.
Will tried to act as if he wasn't just talking about his crush, aka Nico di Angelo, aka the boy standing right in front of him. 'You need anything Nico?' Will asked, his voice an octave higher than normal, Nico looked like he enjoyed watching Will being stupid, which was to be expected.
'Well let's see Solace, I come here to fill out some papers for my things, and I hear you rambling to Austin Lake about a crush on me in Italian?' Nico summarised, his expression blank. 'Bad choice of language William Solace.' At that the son of Apollo's eyes widened, 'You can speak Italian?' The silence was broken by Nico raising an eyebrow, incredulous.
'Yes, considering I was born and raised in Venice, Italy, I do in fact speak Italian, stupido figlio di Apollo.'
Will didn't seem to care that Nico called him a stupid son of Apollo, he was appalled that Nico knew Italian, and that he didn't even realise. How in Hades did he never hear the extremely heavy Italian accent in the son of Hades' voice, or think the Italian written novels in the Hades Cabin meant anything? Will groaned, rubbing his temples.
Nico had obviously have a crush on Will, he was just better at hiding emotions. Oh wait-that's depressing. Now that Nico knew that Will liked him too, the son of Hades was more than willing to admit his crush.
'Well Solace, for your information, I have a crush too. On a certain head of the infirmary, not-so-good at archery, son of Apollo.' Nico said, his voice trailing off, for once, the son of Hades was confident at his words.
Will glanced up at Nico, eyes narrowed, before he grinned slightly. 'Well di Angelo,' Will said, imitating Nico's choice of words. 'What would you say if that son of Apollo asked you on a date?' Nico bit his lip, forcing down the grin. 'I would say yes.' The son of Hades finally said, earning him a smile from Will, who stared Nico in the eye, which made the shorter boy begin to fidget with his shirt corners, worrying that he had said something wrong.
'Well then, Nico di Angelo, will you go on a date with me?'

(LitRPG/Fantasy) *** Disclaimer: I changed the title of this fiction because I realised that religious people may be offended by it. This fiction is purely intended to entertain and is not based upon any religion. *** What comes after death? The Afterlife. A world split into three layers. Heaven, Nexus and Hell. The Afterlife is harsh, cruel, and sometimes downright unfair, with everything based upon luck. A world with a game system, which enables the residents to level up, and gain special attributes. A tower lies in the middle of it all, named the Core, which provides passage to God, who will bestow on you your greatest desires. Unfortunately, to get to God, one must conquer 27 stages and battle against others wishing to meet him too. Ikite, a young teenager, gets killed by a gang of criminals and reawakens in Hell with a different body and life. As his two new personalities meld into one, he becomes an 'Awakener', someone who has their previous life's personality sharing their mind. However, he realises he has no combat perks, a bad class and a peasant's life in Hell, the lowest layer. At first, he decides on a hardworking, yet peaceful life with his mother, but bad luck wouldn' leave him alone. Forced to journey where he doesn't want to journey, will he overcome his obstacles, change his perspectives, and climb the tower? Or will he sink into the lifeless state, just like many of those around him... Kick back and relax with this book as it's your traditional LitRPG, with a twist or two here and there. New chapter at least every two days (unless previously stated).
8 140El's Revenge
“Revenge is not for the dead- we, as the living, take revenge to relieve the burden we feel,” I whispered into the air. “Salvation for the people who suffered because of you,” I watched as the city burned in the flames. “Salvation for the people like me, who believed in the proclaimed heroes when in reality they were the devils.” I smiled faintly as the ‘holy land’ of those ‘saints’ was destroyed. I heard rustling sounds as Charlotte came to stand next to me, grabbing my hand. “El, are we the bad guys?” If I was still the same as I was before, I might’ve broken down and started crying. Now, it was different. “A villain is just another victim. They cry and mourn, it’s just that no one heard, leading them into madness. It’s one of the reasons why we know the most, but care the least.” I took a deep breath. “We may be the bad guys in other peoples’ eyes, but in my story, we’re the heroes.” Charlotte took in my words for a while and pondered, before nodding in agreement. “As children, we loved the heroes, as adults we understand the villains.” I looked at her and bonked her on the head, earning an angry glare from her. “Hey! You’re barely an adult yourself you know,” she grumbled. I laughed and ruffled her hair, before countering her. “At least I’m not 12. You can’t even be considered a teenager at that age.” After that, we silently watched the flames ravage the land, before leaving.
