Jacks Pov:

I freeze where I am, staring at my broken mask lying on the floor.

Nobody has seen me without it on....

By now, BEN has settled down and is apologizing to me. I can tell he's hoping that I won't skin him alive.

He opens the door to his room to let us out.

(Y/n) just sits there and stares at me, shocked. I try to cover my face so she won't see what I really look like.

Everything is silent until I pick up my broken mask and run out of the room.

I have to fix it, I have to fix it, I have to....

I enter my room and lock the door behind me. Tearing through my drawers, I look for tape, glue.....anything. Anything to fix my mask.

This is all BEN's fault...he shouldn't be toying with her. Thats my job-

I shake my head. I need to calm down.

I pause for a second, when I notice my cheek is stinging. I put a hand to it and bring it back. It is covered in blood.

Probably when BEN scratched me....

I quickly put a band aid on it and go back to searching for glue.

Suddenly, there is a knock on my door.

"J-jack? Are you alright?"

Its (y/n). No, no, no! She can't see me like this! Its not time yet...

"I'm fine, pleas go away!" I say, suddenly panicking. How do I not have any glue?!

This is so irritating! I growl and throw a drawer to my desk at the wall. Then, another, and another, until all the drawers are out. Then,I also throw the desk chair.

I'm done....Done!

"Jack, I'm coming inside!" She yells in a worried tone.

"N-no, dont! You can't see me like this-! " but before I can say anything else, she swings my door open and bursts inside.

I quickly cover my face with my hands so she can't see anything.

"Jack..." she says soothingly, placing a hand on my shoulder. "Jack, where's your mask?"

"On my desk...." I murmur back.

She goes over and picks it up. My hands are still over my face as she hands it to me.

In order to take it, I have to remove my hands, so I just let her hold it.

"Why is this mask so important to you?" She asks.

"....." I hesitate before I reply. "It hides me. I feel safe with it. Nobody has ever seen my face before..." I reply. "Especially my eyes."

I can feel her soft, warm hands on my wrists as she gently pulls them, trying to make me uncover my face.

I don't move at all.

"Pleas let me see." She whispers.

Everything is quiet. I can hear the beat of her heart and shallow breathing. I can hear the whoosh of the blood flow through her veins to the beat of her heart. Its all enough to drive me crazy.

I can feel the sticky black tar from my eyes start to flow down my hands and arms in a steady stream.

I want her so bad....

"Jack...i-is that blood?" She asks, pointing to my tar covered hands.

"No, it's not." I reply.

I can feel her start to grow uncomfortable. Her heart rate speeds up, and her breathing becomes more rugged.

Her heartbeat causes a pounding to form in my head.

I can't take it anymore.....

I sigh. I just don't care anymore.

My hands drop to my sides. I sadly look into her eyes as a look of horror and terror passes over her face.

The agony....the pain...the sorrow....

I can feel all of them in a cluster in the pit of my stomach.

(Y/n) jumps back and corners herself against the wall.

"W-what the hell are you?!" She yells. Her body is shaking with fear "I didn't think you were serious about having no freaking eyes!"

"How could you not think I was serious?!" I yell back. Even more tar drips out of my empty sockets. "I told you! I thought you believed me!"

"Its kind of hard to believe, Jack. I believed that you are a cannibal, but a cannibal with no eyes? That's madness!" Tears build up in the corners of her eyes.

"I'm a monster, OK?! You don't need to rub it in! Now do you understand why I don't show anyone? I'm a freak!"

The last word echos throughout my room and hangs in the air in silence.

Freak....monster....cannibal....that's what I am. Nothing more, nothing less.

"I'm sorry, Jack...." she says, looking down. Tears stream down her face and fall to the floor. "I believe you now. You're not a monster, Jack."

Drip...drip....

I blankly move forward and take her hand in mine.

Her tense body trembles in fear. Her heartbeat thumps quickly, and her breathing is fast.

"You don't have to be afraid of me..."

She avoids making eye contact, trying not to look at me.

I take her chin in my hand and tilt her heat to make her look at me.

I try to smile. I grin, showing off my jagged sharp teeth.

That just makes her cry again.

I need to find a way to gain her trust again....
