《Just empty eye sockets: Eyeless Jack x Reader *completed*》chapter 8: rage

You sit alone on your bed, looking out the small window into the forest. A ton of questions circle in your mind.
What did that 'masky' guy mean about Jack spying on someone?
Was it me that he was spying on? If so, why was he spying on me?
You lay down, getting overwhelmed with your questions. You can hear Jack in his room, cursing and yelling. He sure does get angry quickly...that's definitely something to remember in the future.
You hear jacks door open and slam, shut as he exits and comes stomping down the hallway to your room. You flinch as he throws your door open and comes inside your room. You sit up on your bed as he paces back and forth.
"Are you OK?" You ask quietly.
Jack stops pacing and turns toward you. "Do I look OK?!" He snaps.
Getting irritated with his attitude, you snap at him back. "Well I can't see if you are OK or not because of that freaking mask!"
Jack clenched his fists and starts to walk toward you. In a flash,he is pinning you down, with a hand around your throat. "Don't talk to me with that tone." He says in a low voice.
"Well you shouldn't snap at me when I ask you if you're OK. I was only concerned for you." You reply.
He loosens his grip a bit on your throat.
"You will get nowhere in life if you keep thinking about other people. Think for yourself, and you just might live longer." He says with an annoyed pitch to his tone.
You look away from him when you notice that he is staring at you from behind his mask.
"I'm sorry....can you get off of me now? You're really heavy."

Reluctantly, he gets off of you and stands up.
"I'm sorry about earlier...you really didn't have to go through that." He says.
"don't worry about it. Its fine." You reply.
Jack sighs. "I'm not the only killer in the forest you know." He says.
You look at him and wait for him to continue.
"There are other people...monsters, too. But we normally only come out at night. To kill, that is. Our master controls us. He is the one that makes us kill. I chain you up when I leave because I don't want you wondering into the forest with everyone else. At least not yet. Were not allowed to keep humans under possession unless they are used for torture, so I haven't told anyone else about you yet." Jack says.
"Who are the other people?" You ask.
"I can't tell you yet." He replies.
"Why not?"
"Because if I tell them too soon, they might kill you."
"Why don't you want me dead?"
"I...can't tell you that either." Jack says. "I have to chain you up now...I need to kill."
He chains your arm to the length of the chain connecting to the wall. Shutting your door softly, he leaves you alone yet again.

The son of a Duke woke up with amnesia. It's the truth. Was it the whole truth? Not necessarily. The whole truth was that the Duke's son's memories were replaced. By Bellavarn. Bellavarn didn't think he deserved a second life if that was what this was. He died young, sure. But he was the one who ended it in the first place. Did he want this life? It wasn't his, wasn't deserved, and unasked for. Take one of the thousands who beg uncaring gods instead, not him. He wanted oblivion. Examining his new surroundings, the plush pillows, expensive draperies, and the nervous maid, he assumed the worst. Who was he in this world? Time to find out. So... "Close the doors." "Lord?" "Do it." *This Novel contains dark themes not suitable for all readers. This is an original novel. Any similarities to existing characters, locations, or otherwise is purely coincidental. Memoirs of A Healer/Clinical Social Worker: Autobiography of Bruce Whealton
A loving spouse. A healer. How does this person cope with evil villains willing to destroy everything? They convicted the victim... now how does the victim goes on with life as a healer? As the book opens, I was in a psychiatric hospital following a suicide attempt in December 2019. What starts as a simple conversation with another patient changed my life. Most of the rest of the book tells the reader how I got to this point. I experienced profound injustice between 2004 and 2006. By opening with a story about suicide, I want the reader to understand that the injustice was not just something that happened long ago. This book is an account of all the accomplishments and successes that I had in overcoming tremendous odds and challenges. Growing up, I was paralyzed by shyness and lacked social skills, and so the idea of becoming a psychotherapist never occurred to me when I went off to college. I learned that I could overcome those limitations. I wanted to bring that hope and healing to others. Activities like that make life meaningful and bring me joy. The reasons why I was suicidal in 2019 were set in motion in 2000 when a meteor would come crashing down upon the life that I had built leaving me powerless to do anything other than watching everything burn to ashes - the home that I had, the life I had known, the love I had, my career, everything would disappear almost as if it never existed. In that one the year 2000, I could not imagine things could get any worse. But the nightmare would continue for the next few years... culminating in a suicide attempt in 2019. Now, I am connecting with others, building relationships, and finding a reason to live again. I am writing my own story of my life. I will fight against the injustice of the past and offer my gifts to the world. I have so much to offer. I have quite a story to tell. I hope you will help me to move on with my life.
