I fixed my dress a bit with a smile.
As I admired myself in the mirror I heard my doorbell ring.
"Y/n, Bruce is here!" My mother exclaimed from downstairs.
"Coming!" I shouted back. I fixed a few strands of my hair before picking up my dress and hurriedly walking out of my room and down the stairs.
"You look, wonderful sweetheart!" My mother praised, and I smiled softly.
"Thank you, mom," I replied looking over to her before looking at the door and opening it to reveal a well-dressed Bruce.
He was wearing a tux that matched my f/c dress.
"You look- wow um." Bruce looked speechless and he started to check me out.
I grinned, grabbing his wrist and pulling him inside.
"Thanks... you look good too," I responded with a chuckle.
Bruce just smiled.
I closed the door after us and averted my eyes to my parents.
"Get together so we can take a photo." My father said.
Bruce and I nodded as he wrapped his arm around my waist and mine were wrapped around his back.
We both smiled as my mom held the camera, taking a photo of us making a flash be seen throughout the room.
"A few more." My mom spoke, taking some more photos as they printed out slowly from the bottom of the camera. Bruce and I did various poses and we finally finished.
"Let's go now, bye mom," I uttered with a gentle smile.
My mom fixed my hair a bit with a big smile.
"You look, great hun." My dad applauded.
"Thanks, dad," I responded, looking up at both of my parents with a big smile.
"Now have fun you two, not too much fun. Be home by 8:00!" My mom informed me.

We nodded as we walked out of the door, bidding our goodbyes.
"You look beautiful, y/n." Bruce's lips were curled up into a mesmerizing smile.
I bit the inside of my lip as I got flustered a bit.
He opened the car door for me before he opened his own.
We drove to our school to have our prom.
We've finally arrived at the school.
Bright and colorful lights shout out through the school's windows.
Bruce and I beamed up at the sight excitedly. He gently clasped my hand and intertwined it with mine.
We both ran up to the entrance letting out a few laughs as we ran in excitement.
We went through the doors and went to the gymnasium.
We opened the door to be revealed to color lights and very loud music.
We parted our hands, looking at the place in awe.
"Shall we get some punch?" Bruce questioned with an accent as he offered me a hand playfully.
"We shall," I responded, taking his hand as we walked over to where the punch was.
Bruce grabbed a cup and poured some punch into it.
"Thanks, Bru." I let out, taking a drink from the cup.
"Anything for you." He stated, pouring himself a cup.
We drank our drinks as we watched the crowd dance wildly to the music.
Bruce managed to finish his drink before I did but he still waited for me.
As soon as I finished my drink the music faded out.
Bruce and I gave each other confused stares before the music slowly started again but this time it was a slow dance song.
Bruce smirked looking over at me.
"May I have this dance, my lady?" Bruce inquired, offering his hand with his other hand behind his back.

"Of course." I smiled, taking his hand.
He wrapped his arms around my waist as I wrapped mine around his neck.
We looked each other in the eyes, admiring each other.
I rested my head on his shoulder as we slowly rocked to the music.
Bruce rested his head on mine as we both closed our eyes, falling into the romantic moment.
I rose my head from his shoulder, grabbing his face gently and placing a soft kiss against his lips.
He kissed back passionately, as we continued to sway in each other's arms.
We pulled away with big grins on our faces. I rested my head back on his shoulder in happiness.

A Mildly Odd Reality Breaker
Omar receives an unexpected visitor who comes baring a gift—a "registration ticket"—in the form of a small metal card. The ticket is itself an offer to participate in the game, "Reality Break." Accepting this offer means that Omar will be able to perceive the true nature of reality where there is not one, but two dimensions of time, and in this second dimension history changes (and somewhat "frequently"). Along with this, he will also gain access to the "chronopause"; another reality that is not so much parallel to our own as it is perpendicular, which acts as both a place and the natural boundary between non-sequential points on the timeline. Using the chronopause, Omar will become a chrononaut with the ability to travel through time, and as a player, he will be given a cybernetic interface and his own portable extradimensional storage space. It's a strange conversation, but due to Omar's dismally short attention span, he only consciously hears that last bit about the portable pocket space, and that's only after the physics-defying void is opened in his living room and literally waved in front of his face. Reality is certainly stranger than most people realize, but then again, so is Omar. Thankfully, he responds well to shiny things, and for better or for worse, his chronic inattentiveness is the least of his psychological issues. Omar also has a mild form of "Oppositional Defiant Disorder" which presents itself as an occasional, arbitrary need to disobey others (especially authority figures). However, his oddest psychological issue by far is his "abnormally hyperactive" subconscious mind. Outwardly and consciously, Omar is a lazy, apathetic man-child prone to mildly asinine behavior. Subconsciously, he's some sort of genius capable of extraordinary feats of cognition. Most of the time, Omar is a (technically) functioning adult, but in order to live as such, he must rely entirely upon unusual abilities he's completely unaware of, despite the fact that he uses them regularly. Up until now, his life had merely been ridiculous, but now it was also a game. Note: The narrative style is that of a reliable narrator with a "3rd-person sarcastic" POV. This story takes place in the Reality Breakers/Chronopause universe.
