I held the bat as the girl was about to pitch, the crowd cheering and praising.
My breath hitched as I made eye contact with my crush, Bruce.
I cleared my throat, concentrating back on the game.
(Little explanation here)
Y/n isn't good at baseball.
She's only in it because her parents told her to join.
I took a breath in before she pitched the ball.
It came at me at full momentum.
My eyes widened as I missed and got my first strike. The crowd gloomed down.
I groaned to myself, before getting ready again.
She pitched the ball, I got ready to hit but missed it again.
It was my second strike.
I looked at my bat frustratedly.
She pitched once again and this time I hit it, but only made one base.
We, unfortunately, lost the game.
I walked out of the field before someone stopped me.
"Y/n!" Someone exclaimed behind me, I turned around to my eyes to be met up with Bruce's eyes.
"Bruce, hey." I smiled softly.
"Hey, I saw your form today... I just wanted to give you a few tips?" Bruce smiled nervously.
I sighed deeply.
"I know, I know I'm bad at baseball." I chuckled slightly.
"No no, Well..." Bruce teased.
I smiled playfully.
"My parents made me join the team," I declared, he nodded in understanding.
"Can I still give you a few tips? Baseball gets fun when you know how to play it right," Bruce asked,
I hesitated, thinking about it.
If I accept, Bruce and I will be able to spend more time with each other.
"Yeah, That'd be nice," I replied.
Bruce grinned.
"Great. You have a good arm, use that to your advantage." Bruce pointed to me before walking down back to the field, I followed close behind.

He grabbed my bat and handed it to me.
"Alright, let's get started." Bruce smiled.
after an hour or so, we finally finished our teaching session.
"Thanks, bruce. This helped a lot." I spoke out as I grabbed a small towel and rubbed off my sweat, he did the same.
We drank some water before speaking again.
"Wanna practice together every day?" Bruce raised a question, nudging me on the shoulder to get my attention.
I blushed slightly before answering.
"Of course." This gained a smile from bruce as he took a sip of his water happily.
I looked down at my water bottle, I became flustered as I began to think about the numerous times he held my hand, helping me to practice my form better, and how many times he looked me in the eyes.
He had no idea what he was doing to me, and it's absolutely killing me!
It was now a game day.
We were the ones hitting the ball first.
(Sorry I don't know much about baseball...)
I held my bat in my hands tightly, glancing at Bruce.
He smiled at me and gave me two thumbs up. I smiled looking away and focusing back on the game.
The girl pitched, I quickly reacted, hitting the ball and making a home run.
My eyes widened, I made my first ever home run, and it was at the start of the game.
I began to run to all the bases before going back home. The crowd cheered including my parents.
I looked at Bruce with a big grin on my face.
He gave me a proud smile.
My cheeks reddened slightly as I sighed happily.
