I watched as Bruce got another strike.
I looked over to see his reaction, he looked unhappy, I frowned at this.
"Come on..." I mumbled to myself.
A boy from the opposite teamed pitched the ball.
Bruce hit it successfully, running to the bases as he made a home run.
It went over the gate.
I stood up, clapping my hands proudly.
I cheered for Bruce as he ran up to his teammates.
He smiled at me as we made eye contact.
I waited for Bruce to leave the field, patiently.
Once I saw a familiar figure walk out with his teammates I ran over to him, jump hugged him.
"You did great!" I exclaimed, clasping my arms around him tighter. This earned a chuckle from him as he wrapped his arms around me.
"Thank you n/n." Bruce planted a small kiss against my forehead.
The other teammates parted ways leaving us alone. We parted with big smiles on our faces.
"That last hit was awesome," I stated proudly, interlacing my hand with his.
"Let's celebrate by getting ice cream?"
His face lit up as I said this.
He nodded yes quickly, I laughed at how adorable my boyfriend is.
We both walked to Bruce's bike, and getting on it, his bike fit two people.
I sat behind him with my arms wrapped around his waist tightly.
We began to peddle to our local ice cream shop.
We finally made it to the ice cream shop!
We got off the bike and walked to the doors of the shop.
Bruce opened the door for me, handing me a playful wink.
I snickered in response.
As we walked in, a whiff of sweetness filled my nose.
Bruce couldn't stop smiling, he adores ice cream.
We walked up to the employees, hand in hand.

"Hello there, what can I get you guys?" The lady inquired with a smile.
"Umm may I have vanilla and a
(Favorite ice cream) for her please?" I perked up at him as he ordered for me.
"Will that be it?" She looked over at us, waiting for a response.
"Yes, thank you," I responded generously.
We patiently watched as she scooped the ice cream, placing it on a cone.
Bruce was practically drooling as he looked at the flavors.
I chuckled to myself, he noticed my laugh which made him grin.
"Here you guys go." The lady handed us our ice creams, we thanked her.
I gave her cash for the ice cream and we walked out.
"Why'd you pay?!" Bruce exclaimed, frustratedly.
"I am not gonna have this cliche argument, plus you deserve it. You won the game for your team." I reminded, taking a lick from my ice cream, Bruce decided to just stay silent and let it happen, although he was still upset about it.
We walked to a park that was nearby and sat on the swings, eating out ice creams.
"Thank you n/n." Bruce looked over at me, giving me a look full of sincerity.
The corners of my lips curled up, watching him as his face was all joyful looking.
"Of course Bru," I responded.
We ate our ice cream as Bruce began to talk about more of what happened at the game, I listened, enchanted as I listened to him speaking.
After a while it began to get late, at this point, our ice creams were devoured and we just kept talking.
"Gosh it's getting late, we should head back," Bruce implied.
I nodded in agreement.
We hopped onto his bike as we rode back to our homes. We were neighbors, that's how we first met.
We finally arrived home, I placed a soft kiss against his lips as I bid my goodbyes and walked into my house, opening my door with a spare key. I made sure Bruce got home safely before going into my house.

The following is an edgy adventure of survival, relationships, and growth into adulthood in a world where everything is trying to kill her. This story is undergoing streamlining.
