New Years! Aren't you gonna ask y/n to celebrate?" Mirio asked his roommate, skipping into the living room.
Tamaki lifted his head quickly. "H-Huh? Why would I do t-that?"
"Well you like her, don't cha?" Mirio questioned, taking out a bowl of leftovers from the fridge to have for dinner. Tamaki nearly choked on air, his cheeks growing red. "What makes you think that!?"
"Idunnoknooowww" Mirio slurred. "But she seems to be growing on you. Plus you go out of your way to make her happy! Don't lieeeee, you like her-"
"I-I don't...not...like her." Tamaki whispered.
A large smile spread across Mirio's face. "Then ask her out!"
"M-Mirio! Shes my boss!"
"Huh? So?"
"I....hm." Tamaki huffed. I guess it's not really against the policy since she is her own company...
"I'm sure she'd love to go out and watch fireworks or something! Don't you think?"
Tamaki sighed. "...Yeah, but I don't have the guts to ask her..."
Mirio scratched his chin, thinking. "...How about we go as a group! We can invite Nejire, Hailey, and Ginger! Y/n wont think it's weird at all!"
Tamaki bit the inside of his cheek. "...Yeah, okay."
"Hang out on New Year's eve night!? I'd love to!" Y/n stood up from her chair excitedly. Tamaki slightly jumped at her enthusiasm. "R-Really? Are you sure? I figured you'd be busy with bills and the shop-"
"We're only half a hundred thousand yen away from our goal! By the time the 6th comes, we should have enough to save the coffee shop!"
Tamaki looked down at his feet. Y/n tilted her head. "Tamaki? Is something wrong?"
"It just...doesn't feel right that you have to...pay so much money to save this place." He whispered.

Y/n scoffed lightly, giving a small smile. "I don't like the idea either but...As long as I can keep this place, it's fine with me."
Tamaki gazed up at her, y/n's eyes twinkling with pride. Tamaki blinked lightly, his cheeks warming. ...She's...she's really pretty...Has she always been this pretty?...
Tamaki suddenly cleared his throat, turning towards y/n's office door. "I-I should get back to work...Bye." He said quickly, leaving her office.
Y/n waved goodbye as she sat back in her chair. "...He seemed nervous."
"Amajiki!" Y/n jogged to her friend, waving her hand around frantically. Tamaki, sitting on a public bench, turned to her, him slouching in his scarf.
"You're drawing attention..." He shivered as swarms of people past by the downtown area of Musutafu.
"Awww, you're still nervous in public?" Y/n blushed, standing in front of him. "Where is everyone else?" She asked, looking around.
Tamaki and y/n felt a light buzz come from their phones. They pulled out their devices, a message from Mirio appearing in their group chat.
"You think Tamaki has a crush on boss?" Hailey cocked her head as she met with Mirio, Nejire, and Ginger at a bar. "Yeah, but he doesn't have the balls to ask her out!" Nejire sighed.
"What's this gotta do with us, though?" Ginger asked.
"Well...you know how Tamaki asked you guys to hang out on New Year's eve? I was thinking...we make up an excuse to not go and leave them to go on the date themselves!" Mirio suggested.
"Heyyyy that's not a bad idea!" Ginger admitted, fist bumping Mirio.
"Won't they be suspicious if we all make up some weird excuse to not go?" Hailey inferred. Mirio and Ginger slouched in their seats. "Good point."

"Then let's make sure they know we're coming." Nejire sipped on her drink. "But the point is to not go." Ginger mumbled.
"I know that. But how about, once we know that they're together, we text something like...'sorry! our train got delayed!' They'll probably believe it because trains break down all the time during the winter season."
Mirio, Hailey, and Ginger blinked at Nejire in shock, making her cheeks warm. "W-What? Why are you looking at me like that!?"
"Who knew you could be so smart." Ginger awed.
"OF COURSE I AM!!"
Nejire peered out from behind a trash can, giving her friends a thumbs up. "Send the text messages." She demanded.
mirio
awe man! the train we were on got cancelled! we don't know how long we'll be.
ginger
yeah, go on and have fun without us!
hailey
yes.
nejire
sorry about that guys!
Y/n pursed her lips. "That's odd. They all were trying to go on the same train?"
Tamaki stared at his phone screen. Mirio...You planned this out, didn't you...
"Huh well...wanna go eat?" Y/n asked kindly.
"I'll take the Donburi!" Y/n ordered to the waiter, handing him her menu. "Of course, and for you?"
"I-I'll have the...Tonkatsu...Please." Tamaki stammered, returning his menu.
The waiter bowed. "I'll have those out as soon as possible!" He assured, walking away from the table and towards the kitchen.
Y/n placed her elbows on the table, setting her chin on her hands. "So Amajiki! Tell me about yourself!" She beamed, lightly kicking her legs like a little kid under the table.
Tamaki lifted his head, his cheeks blushing. "H-Huh? About me?"
"Yeah! I don't actually know that much about you! And since we're technically on a date, I feel it be considerate to ask."
Tamaki felt his whole body set ablaze. "D-Date? Y-Yeah um, sure-We kind of are, huh?" He stuttered, making y/n giggle. "You don't have to be nervous. We're friends, aren't we?"
Tamaki felt his shoulders relax, his nerves suddenly melting away. "...Y-Yeah."
"Perfect! So, what's your quirk, anyway? I don't think I ever saw you use it back in high school."
"Oh, it's um...Manifestation...Whatever I eat, I can turn my limbs into it."
Y/n's mouth fell open. "Um, WOAH. Does that mean if I fed you octopus, you could make your finger into a tentacle?!"
"...Yeah, pretty much-"
"Now that's cool! I wish I had a quirk like that!"
"Oh, what is your quirk, y/n?"
"Ha..." She pointed her thumb to her chest. "I, am quirkless!" She beamed proudly.
"Q-Quirkless? Really? Y-You don't seem like someone who wouldn't have a quirk...I mean, you were so popular in high school."
"Yeah, I hid that from everyone. I didn't wanna get bullied for not having a quirk, yknow? Besides, my personality made up for it!"
Tamaki gave a small smile. That's true. I guess if you were her friend, you wouldn't really care that she's quirkless.
"Oh, um...Hailey said you were born in America?"
"Yup! I was born in the deserts of a state called Arizona. I lived in a small town with my people."
"Your people?"
"Mhm. The Cherokee. There's not many Native Americans left in the U.S." She muttered sadly.
"Huh? Why's that?"
"...White people." Y/n slouched.
let's not forget who was in america first. don't forget the natives. speak up about them. this is their land. thank you :3
"Anyway, Amajiki. What else do you want to talk about?" She smile, her soothing smile giving Tamaki a warm feeling in his chest.
"...We can...talk about whatever you want." He blushed.

Right as Rage
Only 15 years have passed since the miscreant god, Villi, stole magic from the gods and gave it to mortals. In response the mortals seem to be doing their best to squander this gift. The Kingdom of Abrune regulates it, the church of the Sacred Hierarchies outright condemns it, but one 'wildman' from across the sea begins his journey after being cursed by it. Vakdragnar's curse manifests when he loses his temper. It has driven everyone he’s ever cared about away from him. Out of options and money, he travels to the city of Tirough and quickly finds himself on the wrong side of the law. He is persecuted despite his intentions to do good. How can you stand against evil if everyone you’re trying to protect thinks you’re the villain? And if this curse is truly a part of him now, what if they’re right? **************************************************************************************************** Right as Rage is a story I’ve been excited to write for some time now. I hope everyone is as excited to read it. This story is going to be told over several arcs, with each arc containing 7-12 chapters, and an interlude or two each. I plan on submitting new chapters once a week on Tuesday evenings.

People. Harmony. Dysfunction
[Hiatus]People are extraordinary. They are glorious, chaotic, imaginative, grim, all kinds of smart and driven. They are capable of living in harmony or incredible destruction. They can be both caring and loyal but vicious and self-centred. However, Olivia wished that the first year of her PhD didn't have to showcase quite so much of the melting pot. People. Harmony. Dysfunction. is a story that follows a research group through the drama and challenges life throws at them. It has an (unspecified) modern setting and focuses on the characters. I've tried to rate this pre-emptively, but unfortunately it might change as the story evolves.
