The grand ballroom of the Ritz hotel was brightly lit as guests began to converse with one another. It was the wedding reception of one of Shanghai's most eligible bachelors.

Yan Ximen.

People were shocked to know that the resident Casanova of the F4 was settling down and even more shocked that he was also the last one to tie the knot. Women's hearts were broken when they realized that the F4 were officially off the market. All its' members had married their respective girlfriends, and some have even created their own families.

Yan Ximen and his long-time girlfriend, Jiang Xiaoyou have been together almost as long as Daoming Si and his wife, Dong Shancai. Jiang Xiaoyou is Dong Shancai's best friend since middle school and she accidentally introduced Yan Ximen to her. Jiang Xiaoyou was so smitten for her now-husband at the time but anyone who had dated Yan Ximen knew that he never pursued a serious relationship. Jiang was persistent in chasing after her husband but when he was showing no signs of any attraction to her, she decided to give up.

Yan had stated in the past that he never imagined loving someone as much as he loves his now wife.

'The day Xiaoyou decided to give up on me, something snapped and that's when I realized that I was in love with her all along. The thought of a life without her scared me so I made up my mind. This time, I was the one chasing her, something I had never done in my entire life'.

Daoming Si was the first to get married, shocking the entire world when he married Dong Shancai. The two were married just a week after Daoming Si's engagement to Tengtang Shuijing (now Jung Soojung) was cancelled.

Dong Shancai was Daoming Si's junior at Mingde University where she took up Food Science & Nutrition. She was also the special prize winner of the critically acclaimed Chinese Cuisine competition. Eyebrows were raised when the wife of the Daoming heir was revealed to be a commoner. Some thought the marriage wouldn't last because according to inside sources, the couple tend to fight a lot and as well as the never-ending argument that Dong Shancai is a gold digger and knows nothing about the cutthroat industry that the Daoming family is in.

But rumors died down when Dong Shancai successfully opened a chain of restaurants that stretched all throughout the world. The restaurant is managed by her mother and father who have been in the culinary business for a very long time. Major celebrities and personalities have flocked to her family's restaurant to try the exquisite cuisine.

Their son Daoming Chun was born a year after they got married.

Huaze Lei secretly married his long-time girlfriend and renowned figure skater, Sang Tian. The two had met through a mutual friend of theirs, Jung Soojung (formerly Tengtang Shuijing), the heiress to the Jung empire, younger sister of BLANC&ECLARE CEO Jung Sooyeon, model, actress, entrepreneur, and the wife of fellow F4 member Feng Meizuo. She had invited Huaze Lei to a show where Sang Tian was performing and the two were inseparable ever since.

The press had always thought that Huaze Lei would end up with his childhood sweetheart, the former heiress of the Tengtang empire, Tengtang Jing. The two had always had a close relationship but many were disappointed that they never pursued a relationship. Tengtang Jing shockingly gave up her rights as the heiress of the Tengtang Group to join Lawyers Without Borders, a non-profit organization that strives to help those in need. Soon after, she was shortly engaged to Elliot Archambeau, the son of Parisian mayor, Edward Archambeau. The former heiress then travelled to South Africa shortly after the engagement ended and continues to help out of school youth.

The couple is currently expecting their first child, a son that is due in February.

Lastly is the other half of F4's Casanova duo, Feng Meizuo. For someone who is known to have dated so many women, including Zhou Caina, the former fiancé of Tian Ye, the son of politician Tian Zhou (She is now the wife of acclaimed architect, Ye Ming Chuan), Feng Meizuo shocked everyone when he married his long-time girlfriend, best friend and childhood sweetheart, Jung Soojung.

The two had been friends since they were young and grew up together. Jung Soojung was the adopted daughter of the Tengtang family. She was allegedly 'kidnapped' by the patriarch of the family as retaliation from a feud against the Jungs shortly after their daughter Jing turned 2.

The younger Jung grew up, having no knowledge of her real identity, alongside her older sister and the F4. She and Feng Meizuo became the closest in the group and he has attended several events as her official date.

Soojung followed her sister Jing to Paris under their parents' wishes to train and take care of the company located in the said country. The two were spotted hugging at the airport, the very day that the younger left.

Fast forward to 2018 when the two sisters returned to Shanghai. Jing arrived first followed by Shuijing who arrived late that same day. The F4 were ecstatic to be reunited with the sisters but not as ecstatic as Huaze Lei and Feng Meizuo.

Meizuo was blatantly obvious about his happiness of having his friend back as he was constantly affectionate with her. Pictures of them hugging, holding hands and even of Meizuo kissing her cheek can be found all over the internet.

It wasn't until late 2018 when the rumors began circling around the two as they seemed to be closer than normal. However, rumors quickly died down as the press announced that the heiress was engaged to Kim Jongin, son of one of Korea's top entertainment agencies. The public noticed the distance between the two after the announcement of the younger heiress' engagement and a few days after, the son of the Feng empire was allegedly dating Zhou Caina however, that relationship didn't last long as Zhou Caina announced her engagement to Ye Ming Chuan shortly after.

The engagement between Soojung and Jongin publicly ended at the heiress' 22nd birthday celebration which then caused a rift between the heiress and her alleged parents. A few weeks later, a statement was issued regarding the young heiress' identity. Confirmed by Jung Sooyeon herself, the media was in frenzy as she stated that the Tengtang heiress was actually her long lost little sister, Jung Soojung.

After the whole fiasco, the press seemed to focus on what seemed to be a developing romantic relationship between the Jung heiress and the only son of the Feng Corporation. The two have known each other for years and the media began to speculate if the two have taken their friendship to the next level.

It wasn't until the following year that the two confirmed their relationship to the press at a tea drinking party hosted by Yan Ximen and attended by the F4 and several other friends of theirs.

"Ms. Jung, you've been friends for years and I'm sure you know your boyfriend's history with women. Are you not scared of being another name on his list of conquests?" A reporter asked the young heiress as her confirmed boyfriend stood at her side, holding her hand.

"I'm well aware of his history with women. In fact, I was the one who helped him with most of his past girlfriends. I know that I'm not his first girlfriend or first anything for that matter, but I'm not scared nor disgusted by the fact that he's been with other women. What can I say? My boyfriend's quite a looker." The heiress joked which prompted laughs from the reporters as her boyfriend posed jokingly.

The Feng heir was quick to shut down the claims of his 'Casanova' lifestyle returning.

"And you Meizuo? Is she really your last?" Another asked as the Feng heir looked at the younger heiress sweetly.

"Yes. She's my last because she's the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with. I'd rather die than hurt her. I love her more than anything. " He said before kissing the younger's forehead.

The two however broke up after a year of dating due to unknown reasons and Shuijing mysteriously disappeared. No one knows where she went although there were rumors of Huaze Lei potentially knowing where the younger was staying the whole time.

The two reconciled at Daoming Si's reunion party with the other F4 members, respective girlfriends and their other friends. And just a few days after, Meizuo proposed to Shuijing. The two wed just 2 months after their engagement.

Things seem to be going well for the couple as they welcomed their first child, a daughter named Feng Zhuanshi in October who has obviously taken after her mother's beauty.

"How does it feel to be the last one to be married?" Meizuo asked his best friend as they both looked around.

"Never expected to even get married Zuo. I still can't believe it." Ximen answered as he drank the glass of champagne in his hand.

"Are you happy?"

"Very." Ximen answered as he glanced at his now wife who was talking to Li Zhen and Shancai. She looked beautiful as she laughed and smiled at her friends.

"How's the pregnancy going with Tian, Lei?" Ah Si asked as Lei chuckled.

"I now get why Ah Si showed up with a black eye when Shancai was in her first month of pregnancy. Pregnant women are terrifying. Just last week, Sang Tian was crying over a movie we were watching and a few seconds later, she kept swearing at the guy in the movie because he let the girl go. I tried to tell her it was just a movie and she poured popcorn all over me, screaming that all men are heartless." Lei joked as the four men laughed.

"Shuijing was the same. When Zhuanshi was born, she kept blaming me for seducing her and was pulling on my hair all the way to the delivery room. She pulled it so hard that I thought it was going to be detached from my head." Meizuo revealed.

"You guys are exaggerating." Ximen joked and Lei, Ah Si and Meizuo looked at him before answering.

"Just you wait." They said and Ximen's eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"When Xiaoyou gets pregnant and decides to murder you for making a joke out of it, don't expect us to help you." Meizuo joked as Ximen's smile dropped as the three laughed.

"Daddy!" A small voice yelled as she ran to her father's open arms. Meizuo smiled as the little girl latched onto his neck as he picked her up, resting her on his hip.

"Why don't you look beautiful, princess." Meizuo gushed over his daughter as she shyly smiled at her father.

"Thank you, daddy." She said, showing him her perfect smile as Meizuo tucked a stray hair behind her ear.

"Can I have a hug?" Lei asked as Zhuanshi squealed as she tried to jump from her father's arms. Lei laughed as he picked up the little girl as she hugged him tightly. It was no secret that Lei was her favorite uncle. She cried so much when she found out Lei had gotten married because she told her parents that she was going to marry Lei.

Meizuo was not happy. She was so young and he couldn't even think about giving her away one day.

"Don't worry Zuo. Lei isn't gonna take your daughter away from you. It'll be another guy probably." Ah Si joked as Meizuo playfully glared at him.

"Over my dead body. No one is taking my daughter away." Meizuo threatened.

"Who is taking who away?" The boys turned their head as Zhuanshi smiled. Meizuo felt his lips pulling up to a smile as he kissed his wife, placing his arm around her waist as they pulled away.

"They were teasing me about Zhuanshi getting married. I told them she can't marry Lei anymore because Lei's married." Meizuo explained as Shuijing laughed.

"Zuo, she's only 3. That's not happening for anytime soon." Shuijing said, calming her husband down. She trailed her eyes over the crowd before turning to Ah Si.

"Speaking of children, where's my favorite nephew?" She asked, peering her eyes for the mini Ah Si.

"I'm right here auntie Shui!" A small voice yelled as he ran to Shuijing, smiling as he gestured for her to pick him up.

"Hello handsome." Shuijing said, kissing the small boy's forehead as he smiled when Shuijing set him back down on the floor. His eyes met Zhuanshi as he blushed before shyly waving at her.

"H-hi Zhuan.." He said as the younger girl waved back, smiling before hiding behind Lei. Shuijing and Lei shared a knowing smile.

"Oh hell no." Meizuo said before picking up his daughter and walking away. They all laughed as Meizuo stomped away, taking his daughter with him.

"Zuo come on!" Shuijing yelled, laughter in her voice.

"Ah Si! Keep your son away from my daughter!" Meizuo yelled as they continued to laugh.

"Hey! What's wrong with Chun!" Ah Si complained as he ran after Meizuo, his son in tow.

"He's YOUR son! Isn't that enough reason for me to keep him away from Zhuanshi?" Shuijing laughed at her husband's overprotectiveness as Ximen and Lei joined their glasses for a toast.

"No way in hell am I accepting that boy as my son-in-law! No way Shui!" Meizuo complained as Shuijing tried to get him to calm down.

"Don't be so dramatic Zuo. They're too young for that and it's just a harmless crush Zuo. Everyone has crushes when they're young." Shuijing said, trying to coax her husband.

"Who?" Meizuo asked and Shuijing gave him a knowing look.

"Oh.." He answered, embarrassed as he sighed. "I'm sorry if I overreacted Shui. She's our little girl.. I don't want her to go through what you went through when we were dating.." Shuijing frowned.

"Zuo.." Meizuo held up a hand, stopping her from continuing.

"I made you cry a lot Shui.. and broke your heart so many times.." Meizuo lamented as his wife hugged him.

"We hurt each other Zuo.. we were stupid and cowards for running away for our feelings for each other but we got there in the end didn't we?" Shuijing reminded, placing a hand on her husband's cheek and Meizuo smiled as he grabbed Shuijing's hand and kissed it lovingly.

"Thank you for giving me another chance, I don't know what I would have done if you never came back." Meizuo said, smiling at his wife before placing another kiss on her forehead.

"And thank you for giving me such a wonderful gift.. I love you so much." Meizuo said, glancing over at his daughter who was playing with Chun.

"I know I can't protect her forever but I just wish someone could.. Chun is a great kid and I know he means well but.." Shuijing smiled before taking out something from her purse and handing it to Meizuo.

"What's this?" He asked, puzzled.

"Consider it a late birthday present Zuo." She added and Meizuo looked at it, eyes slowly widening.

It was a small photo and at the bottom said:

"Hi daddy! I'm in mommy's belly at the moment but when I come out, I'm gonna protect Zhuanshi jie from yucky boys! I love you daddy!"

Meizuo looked up from the photo and at his wife.

"A-are you-?" He stammered and Shuijing nodded, smiling at her husband. He jumped in glee as he hugged his wife tightly.

"Thank you thank you thank you! I love you so much!" He yelled in glee.

"I'M GONNA BE A FATHER AGAIN! BEAT THAT AH SI!" He bragged as he strided over to his friends while the wives headed to Shuijing, congratulating her.

"NO WAY! THAT'S UNFAIR! SHANCAI! I WANT ANOTHER KID! COME ON! LET'S GO!" Ah Si demanded and Shancai gave him the evil eye.

"If you can figure out a way how to get pregnant by yourself, then we'll talk." Shancai threatened as Ah Si gulped.

"Man come on, you gotta help me. How did you convince Shuijing to-" Ah Si quietly asked as Shuijing glared at Meizuo.

"Try answering that Feng Meizuo and we're getting a divorce." Shuijing threatened.

"I can't tell you the exact details but just pray that your swimmers are fast." Meizuo said before winking at his friend as his wife began to chase him, raising her heel to hit him.

How has everyone been?

I missed this story and writing in general so I decided to write this and got it done in 30 minutes. I haven't written anything in the past few months and if you guys have been following me, this story was submitted to the 2021 Watty's but unfortunately, it didn't make the shortlist :(

Nevertheless, I'm thankful for all the love and support that you guys have shown this story. I know I also said that I will be writing for two boy groups next but I felt that the chapters I have put up weren't good enough, so I decided to take them down. I will be rewriting them soon when I have the time so stay tuned!

If I do happen to write them again, expect slower updates because next year, my school will be doing limited face to face classes and since I am in the medical field, we are really in need of hands-on demonstrations since the course I am in requires me to work in the laboratory 24/7. A new variant of the virus has been discovered so I sincerely pray for the safety of everyone and as much as possible, please get vaccinated.
