I headed to the station to record my statement, leaving Shancai with Xiaozi, and by the time I got there, they were finishing up with Lei so I headed inside.

We all went back to the hospital and went straight to Ah Si's room to see if he was awake yet but he wasn't. Auntie Yu told us to wait inside and watch over Ah Si. I looked at Shancai in pity. Too much drama had happened and it wasn't even noon yet. It was half-past 7 when we arrived in Shanghai and we all lacked sleep.

Shancai sat on a chair beside Ah Si's bed. Lei sat Xiaozi near the door with Auntie Yu sitting on a couch in front of them. Ximen was leaning against the window seat. Meizuo was standing behind me while I sat on a chair on the other side of Ah Si's bed.

We silently waited for a few minutes when I saw Ah Si's hand twitch and his eyes slowly opened.

"Daoming Si." Shancai exclaimed prompting Ximen, Xiaozi, and Auntie Yu to stand up and rush to Ah Si's side. Lei turned his head to look at Ah Si, still shocked that Ah Si was now awake.

"Where am I? Why am I here?" Ah Si groaned, sitting up as he held his head.

"Ah Si, you were seriously hurt and you were unconscious for a long time." Meizuo explained.

"I was hurt?" Ah Si asked before turning to Ximen and Meizuo who were standing behind me. Meizuo nodded in confirmation.

"Who is she?" Ah Si asked as he turned to Shancai. My eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"Ah Si, are you not fully awake yet or did you lose your memory, like what the doctor mentioned?" I asked and Ah Si groaned, I assumed his head was still painful.

"Hey, do you know who I am?" Ximen asked.

"Ximen." Ah Si answered.

"How about me?" Meizuo asked.

"Meizuo." Ah Si answered.

"How about him?" Meizuo asked, pointing to Lei who was watching all this play out.

"Lei. Why are you even asking me that?" Ah Si answered, clearly annoyed.

"Then who am I?" Xiaozi asked.

"Monkey. Ugly Monster." Ah Si said, pointing to Xiaozi.

"And me, Ah Si?" I asked as he turned to me.

"You're Shuijing. My 'little sister' and you're also Meizuo's girlfriend." Ah Si said as he ruffled my hair and I smiled in thanks.

"Then who is she? What is she doing here?" Ah Si asked, looking at Shancai. My heart broke for her. Had Ah Si really forgotten the love of his life?

"Ah Si, cut it out. How can you remember all of us but not Shancai?" Ximen scolded.

"Shancai? What a lousy name." Ah Si commented and Shancai looked like she was about to cry.

"It'll be all right. He just woke up. His brain is still a mess." Xiaozi comforted as she patted Shancai's back.

"That's right. They love each other so much. I don't believe he's forgotten her." Ximen concluded.

"I'm sure he remembers you Shancai. Besides, his brain isn't that big for him to forget you anyway." I joked, earning a glare from Ah Si who continued to rub his head.

"Shancai. How about you tell him what happened between you two? Maybe it'll help him remember." Meizuo suggested and we all nodded in agreement.

"Green shoes. Do you still remember that you stepped on my phone and broke it? I went to the opening ceremony and your fans pushed me around. So I dropped my phone and it broke when you stepped on it. I even confronted you about it. Do you still remember?" Shancai asked but Ah Si still looked confused.

"And a lot of other things happened. I watched the meteor shower with you on your balcony. You gave me a meteor necklace. "Shancai continued but Ah Si remained silent.

"And look at your phone. In the Fantasy Westward Journey game, you gave me a meteor garden." Shancai pointed out.

"All right. Stop. I don't understand what you're saying." Ah Si said.

"Please don't forget me, okay? You have to remember me." Shancai begged.

"Why do I have to remember you?" Ah Si asked and Shancai's face dropped. She was hurt.

"Because she's the one you love the most. And because she also loves you the most." Lei stated and we all nodded.

"The one who loves me the most... Right?" Ah Si asked Lei.

"Remove the word "right." Yes. I'm the one who loves you the most. I'm telling you. I am. In London, we promised each other to also live happily in our next lives. I've decided... not to wait for our next life. In this life, I would always love you. I will. I definitely will. It doesn't matter if you lost your memory. I'll make you love me again. I love you so much, do you know that?" Shancai spat, tears streaming down her face but there was no reaction from Ah Si.

"Shancai. Don't be that fierce. Ah Si's still recovering." Auntie Yu told Shancai.

"I don't care if you're still recovering. I want to tell you that I, Dong Shancai, will be with you no matter what." Shancai declared when Ah Si suddenly whipped his head to look at her.

"You said that yourself. If you lie, then you're a dog." Ah Si told her, a huge smile on his face and I groaned, my face in my hands as I resisted the urge not to hit Ah Si.

"I knew you were lying." Lei said and I sighed.

"I swear to God Ah Si, I almost had a heart attack." I complained as I looked at him with my arms crossed.

"How else can I listen to her love confession? I really admire my own intelligence." Ah Si bragged.

"You can even joke around at a time like this. You've gone too far." Shancai said as she raised her fist to punch him but Ah Si caught it in his hand.

"This is great. Everything's back to normal. I don't mind if you hit him. Shancai, go ahead." Auntie Yu encouraged and we all smiled.

"Hey, Mrs. Yu. Whose side are you on?" Ah Si complained.

"By the way, Lei. Thanks. Good thing you pushed the perpetrator away at the right time." Ah Si said to Lei.

"I don't think a thank you is enough. Who else would block that knife for you?" Ximen asked and the 3 of us (me, Lei and Ah Si) looked at him.

"Why? Wouldn't you do it too?" Lei asked.

"We'll think about it." Ximen and Meizuo answered in unison, prompting me to elbow them both.

"You idiots." I scolded the two as Ximen clutched his stomach and Meizuo apologized to me, lightly rubbing my shoulders.

"Thanks, Shui. But you two, go home and reflect on yourselves. Among my friends, at least two have a conscience. It's true love between me and Lei." Ah Si said and I frowned.

"What about me?" I joked and Ah Si smiled, going along with my joke as he pulled me towards him.

"Sorry Shui but you're taken. Unless you're bored of Meizuo-" His teasing was cut off when Meizuo pulled at my arm and I landed in his arms.

"Ah Si, don't make me put you back in a coma." Meizuo threatened with a pouty face. Ah Si and I laughed.

"Stop being dramatic Zuo. You know I'm yours." I reassured him and kissed his lips briefly. Ximen groaned and muttered something about people in love are disgusting.

"Idiot. You're holding your true love in your hand." Xiaozi pointed out to Ah Si whose hand was still holding Shancai's fist. Shancai told him to let go only for Ah Si to pull her onto his lap and trapping her with his arms. We all laughed as she tried to get up and yelled at Ah Si to let her go.

The 5 of us (me, Meizuo, Ximen, Lei, and Xiaozi) all sat in the private waiting room and left Shancai with Ah Si. Auntie Yu assured us that she wouldn't tell Auntie that Ah Si was awake but she told us that she would inform Zhuang jie to ease her mind about her brother.

"It's so great that Ah Si's out of danger. After going through grief and tests, you'd know if what you have is true love. It makes you quite envious, right?" Meizuo said and Xiaozi snorted.

"Why would you be envious when your true love is right beside you?" She pointed out and I looked at Meizuo threateningly.

"I was just kidding babe." He said playfully as he pulled me closer to him.

"I don't agree with your view on love. If it were me, I definitely wouldn't want to go through such a test." Ximen stated and we nodded in understanding.

"Maybe Meizuo's right. Only true love can surpass the tests and achieve real happiness." Lei said out loud.

"Only people who've experienced it knows." Meizuo stated which made Lei turn to look at him.

"When did I experience it?" He asked.

"He's talking about you and Jing. You two didn't pass your test. So your love is like porcelain. It broke with a touch." Ximen concluded.

"What are you talking about? The relationship between Jing and I already turned into something more intimate than love." Lei rebutted

"What is it then?" Xiaozi asked.

"We'll love each other forever but no one possesses the other. We'll always remember the best about each other." Lei concluded and I smiled, knowing that he's always love Jing jie and she'll always love him even if they're not together.

"That is such a high level of love. I salute you but I can't do it." Meizuo said and my eyebrows furrowed.

"Why not Zuo?" I asked before he turned to me, a gentle smile on his lips.

"Because I can't imagine not having you by my side." He confessed and I smiled as he kissed my forehead.

"I'm also really envious." Ximen said referring to Lei's love and Xiaozi nodded as well.

"Me too." She said before turning to me and Meizuo.

"Speaking of tests, what about you two? What difficult tests did you have to go through as a couple? Like fights or any other stuff?" Xiaozi asked and Meizuo and I looked at each other.

"There was that situation with finding my real parents but I think I'd hardly call it an issue or a test between us." I confessed and Meizuo nodded.

"Well, I do get jealous easily. Is that considered a test?" Meizuo asked and Xiaozi shook her head.

"No. It's not. Let's face it, you two haven't faced anything yet. Your personalities are way too similar that you avoid fighting and just make up quickly." Xiaozi said and I thought about it. She was right.

"That's right. Zuo, we've never had those kinds of tests in our relationship. Well, not exactly like Shancai and Ah Si's but we rarely fight Zuo and if we do, we make up quickly." I wondered and Meizuo agreed. I was saying the truth, it's always been smooth sailing for us and we were almost in our 11 month as a couple. I'm not saying that we should fight or anything, I liked how we were even if it was a little unusual.

"I told you on the island, didn't I? No matter how many challenges come our way, I'll never stop working things out with you. It doesn't matter how big or hard it will be Shui, I promise to always be by your side." Meizuo said, holding my hand as I smiled at him.

"I promise you Zuo, I'll never go away. I won't run away when faced with challenges. I'll stay with you and work things out." I told him and he kissed my hand that he was holding.

"I love you Shui." He said, love in his eyes.

"I love you Zuo." I replied sweetly.

"And I love you Ximen." Ximen told himself as he groaned and we all laughed.

I stopped laughing for a few minutes and just looked at Meizuo who continued to tease Ximen about him being bitter about always having dates but never finding someone he loves.

I got a bad feeling that Xiaozi's words were going to come true.. sooner or later.
