I looked at Sooyeon with shaky eyes, then to Meizuo who looked just as shocked and finally to Mr. and Mrs. Jung or...

Mom and Dad?

"S-soojung..Is that really you?" Mrs. Jung said, cupping my face. I didn't even realize I was crying.

"Oh my baby! You're here!" She said, pulling me in for a hug as I hugged her back tightly, sobbing.

"Are you really my mom?" I asked and she nodded vigorously, wiping the tears away from my eyes.

"My baby is back." I heard a voice say as I pulled away from the hug, only to be met by the warm smile of Mr. Jung.

My dad.

"Oh Soojung, you're finally ." He said, hugging me as I hugged back tightly. I cried as a warm feeling crept into my heart.

I'm home.

Finally.

"You've grown up so well dear, so beautiful." told me as she caressed my cheek as I gave her a smile.

"Thank you. I got it from you." I teased, prompting a laugh from Sooyeon, Meizuo, and Dad.

"Aren't you sweet?" Mom said as she kissed my forehead when I noticed Dad eyeing Meizuo.

"Meizuo." He said, prompting Meizuo to look at him. I almost laughed when I saw fear in his eyes and that's when I realized that this was the first time he was formally meeting my parents. My real parents.

"S-sir?" Meizuo stuttered.

"How long have you known my daughter?" He asked sternly.

"Ever since we were kids. Jing and Shuijing were my friend Lei's neighbors and we played with them along with my other friends Ximen and Ah Si." Meizuo explained as I grasped his hand to calm him down.

"Mhm and how long have you been in a relationship with my daughter?" He asked and my eyebrows furrowed. Meizuo and I have only been together for a few months but I can't recall how long exactly.

"We'll be on our 7th month this coming 6th sir." Meizuo explained and I wasn't shocked that he remembered more than I did. This guy knows his exes' phone numbers and has them all memorized for Pete's sake.

No, not jealous, just pointing it out.

(A/N: Shuijing/Soojung, stop talking to my precious readers and get back to the story!)

Fine, have it your way stingy.

"7 months huh? That's quite short." Dad commented and I was getting nervous by the minute.

"Yes, but I've been in love with your daughter ever since we were kids." Meizuo said, looking at me as I lovingly stared at him.

"And why did you just start dating now?" Dad continued.

"I was scared sir. I was scared that if I pursued her and things didn't end well, I'd lose my friendship with her. But now, I took the risk and told her I loved her and I always will." Meizuo said, kissing my hand that he was holding.

Mom and Sooyeon awed in delight and I saw Dad smile in approval.

"You seem like a nice young man Meizuo. I trust you so don't ever make her cry okay? We just got her back and I don't want to lose her again." Dad told Meizuo and Meizuo nodded.

"You have my word, sir." Meizuo replied, earning a smile from Dad.

THE NEXT DAY

We were meeting Lei and Ximen at a café nearby before he left for Taiwan. There was some trouble with his family so he was going to postpone going abroad for a while to help them out. I just hoped it wasn't too serious.

Sooyeon had offered to let me move into the Jung mansion but I told her I still needed time to adjust and she understood completely so I would move in by the end of the month. I had already informed Jing jie about it and she was ecstatic for me. She was coming home tomorrow and I was really excited to see her again.

I also asked my parents to keep my real identity a secret for now because I wanted to talk to my 'parents' regarding the truth. I wanted to know if they knew anything about my kidnapping.

"Lei, your parting gift is too much." Ximen complained as Lei smugly laughed.

"Yes. You fooled me so badly." Meizuo added as he sipped his coffee.

"I never knew that pursuing Shancai would have such an impact on you. Could it be you have a hidden crush on her, Meizuo?" Lei teased and I jokingly glared at Meizuo. Meizuo's eyes widened as he placed his cup back on the table before turning to Lei.

"Why would it? And I do not have a secret crush on her!" Meizuo defended and I held back a laugh as I tried to keep a straight face.

"You know I only have eyes for you, my love." He said as he kissed my cheek, causing Ximen to groan.

"People in love make me vomit." Ximen muttered.

"What was that Ximen?" I asked in a sickeningly sweet tone, causing Ximen to be a little scared.

"N-nothing Shui." Ximen said, continuing to drink his tea.

"Anyways, why are you so jumpy Zuo?" I asked my boyfriend.

"I found it strange." He said before turning to Lei and continuing.

"You and Ah Si had such a big fight. I thought we couldn't be friends anymore. In the end, Ximen, Shuijing and I were the ones who were fooled." He finished and I chuckled.

"Oh don't count me on that one Zuo. I knew what Lei was planning even if he didn't tell me." I said as I took a bite out of my cheesecake.

"How?" Meizuo asked, confused.

"Because I'm smarter than you and Ximen who clearly share one braincell." I teased causing my boyfriend to pout and Ximen to scoff. Lei laughed as he nodded in agreement.

"It's over now. Why are you still talking about it?" Ximen complained.

"I think it was quite fun." Lei stated, quite satisfied with the way things turned out.

"You're such a weirdo." Meizuo said as he let out a laugh.

"Is your family situation really bad?" Ximen asked, placing his cup down on the table.

"It's all right. I should go see my family anyway." Lei explained

"When are you leaving?" Meizuo asked.

"My flight is in the afternoon." Lei answered.

"Be in touch." Ximen said.

"I'll miss you Leilei." I said, giving him a sad smile.

"I'm already starting to miss you too." Meizuo interjected, keeping me from giving Lei a hug.

"Does Shancai know you're leaving today?" I asked and he just smiled.

"Not yet Shui." He said and I frowned.

"Don't worry, I'll tell her later. But enough about me. How's things with your family? Is everything okay now?" Lei asked, causing Ximen to turn to me as well.

"Yeah. Everything's okay but I still have to talk to my 'parents' about the kidnapping incident. Jie is coming tomorrow so we can all talk." I explained.

"How does it feel to know your real family?" Ximen asked and I smiled.

"It feels surreal. I'm still confused about how I really ended up in the Tengtang household but I'm happy I found my family. It just feels right with them you know?" I said, happily.

"Well, we're really happy for you Shui." Lei said, giving me a warm smile.

"Damn Meizuo, aren't you lucky? You used to have the heiress of the Tengtang Investment Group as your girlfriend but now you have the heiress of the world-acclaimed BLANC & ECLARE Trading Group. Shui, if you ever get tired of Meizuo, I'm always available." Ximen teased and I laughed at Meizuo's mad face.

"I don't care if she's heiress of the Tengtang Investment Group or the heiress of the world-acclaimed BLANC & ECLARE Trading Group. She's I love her no matter what." Meizuo said, pulling me onto his lap and kissing my forehead.

"Don't worry Zuo, I'm all yours." I reassured my frowning boyfriend with a sweet kiss on the lips, earning another groan from Ximen and a snicker from Lei.

THE NEXT DAY

We were all at Mingde because apparently, Ah Si needed some help. I assumed it was for Shancai. He had told me that they were officially together but Shancai didn't want to go public yet. I understood the poor girl because then she'd have to face the wrath of Daoming Feng.

"Women are so annoying." We head Ah Si mutter. He was a few steps below us, sitting by himself. I sat beside Meizuo and Ximen sat on his other side.

"What are you babbling about?" Meizuo asked.

"So how are things? Did you get to see Shancai yesterday?" Ximen asked.

"Yesterday... Yesterday..." Ah Si continued and my eyebrows furrowed.

"Are you okay Ah Si?" I asked, curiously.

"What is he trying to say?" Ximen asked Meizuo.

"I think he's saying, "Something good happened. He's unhappy." And, "He doesn't understand."" Meizuo said, making Ximen and I laugh.

"It seems Ah Si has acquired more depth of expression after going to graduate school." He continued, prompting Ah Si to face us.

"What do you care?" Ah Si complained, clearly annoyed with Meizuo's teasing.

"And are you and Shancai together or not?" Meizuo asked again, with Ah Si's back now turned towards us.

"Why do you care?" Ah Si repeated.

"Hey, Ah Si. Didn't you ask us to come here to think of a plan?" Meizuo reminded. Ah Si even made me come here when I was supposed to be getting ready for a lunch meeting with Jing jie and my...parents.

"Haven't you settled it with Shancai yet?" Ximen asked.

"There are some things that you don't understand." Ah Si stated.

"Then ask me. Leave your girl problems to the love expert." Ximen bragged and I rolled my eyes as I sipped my hot chocolate.

"Mr. Love Expert, let's hear what you have to say." Meizuo said, facing Ximen.

"Women. If you think of them as a musical instrument, she's a violin. You have to accurately control your strength, position, and tone in order to play the best music." Ximen explained. I noticed Ah Si had already walked away so I stifled my laughter as Meizuo intently listened to Ximen.

"So what do you think?" Ximen asked.

"Master Ximen. Even I didn't quite understand it, let alone Ah Si. Right?" Meizuo asked, turning to face Ah Si who was long gone.

"Where's Ah Si?" Ximen asked as well, noticing the absence of F4 leader. I laughed before getting up.

"Well, I think it's clear that we should leave Shancai and Ah Si alone. I think Ah Si's got this one handled well." I said reassuringly.

"You're meeting up with Jing and your parents right?" Ximen asked and I nodded.

"Yeah. I'm just gonna drop by my house and freshen up before heading for the restaurant." I said and they both nodded.

"Meet me at Ximen's house after." Meizuo said and my eyebrows furrowed.

"Why Ximen's house?" I asked and they both looked at each other mischievously.

"I swear to God if you're both planning something that involves Ah Si and Shancai-" I said, earning a groan from both of them.

"Come on Shui, they're moving so slowly, it's frustrating." Ximen argued and I glared at him.

"Don't. Let them be. Stop meddling in other people's love lives Yan Ximen." I scolded him as Meizuo laughed.

"Same goes for you Feng Meizuo." I threatened, making his smile drop.

"W-what did I do?" He asked, scared.

"If you get involved with Ximen's plan, you won't have a love life to go back to. Got it? Bye boys!" I stated, smiling as I turned around and walked away, ignoring Meizuo's cries telling me not to joke around like that and Ximen's cackling laughter at his friend's scared face.
