A WEEK LATER

Today was the F4's graduation day and I was meeting Sooyeon afterward with Meizuo to see what the DNA results were. I had met her a few days ago to take the DNA test and we were getting the results today.

I was dressed in a Layla wrap-effect polka-dot seersucker midi dress and some silver ankle strap heels. I had on some white-gold hoops and a matching white-gold necklace along with Meizuo's ring and a silver thin chain bracelet that Ximen had given me for Christmas.

I smoothed down my straight hair before grabbing my purse and car keys as I stepped out of my car to head for F4's building. I was walking up the stairs, with some flowers for the boys in a paper bag in my hand, when my phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Shui? Where are you? Are you near?"

"I'm coming Zuo. I just arrived."

"Okay hurry up. It's a little bit crowded here already."

"Okay, Zuo. Bye." I said before hanging up.

I walked further and saw Ximen taking pictures with some of his juniors.

"Ximen!" I called out prompting him to look back and smile at me, excusing himself from the disappointed girls.

"Shui! Finally, you're here!" He said giving me a hug. I smiled before reaching in my paper bag and handing him a glass cube of sunflowers.

"Congratulations XiXi!" I said, prompting the older boy to smile and ruffle my hair.

"Thanks, ShuiShui!" He said as he continued to ruffle my hair, prompting me to swat it away.

"Shui." I looked back to see Ah Si behind me, giving me a sheepish smile.

"Hey, Ah Si." I said before hugging F4's leader. I gave him a kind smile and reached in my paper bag to take out another glass cube. This time, the cube encased a beautiful array of yellow roses.

"Congratulations Ah Si. I wish you happiness." I told him and he gave me a smile.

"Thanks, Shui." He said before giving me another hug. I smiled at Ah Si's happiness. I was still sad that he hadn't talked to Shancai yet and Lei was leaving tomorrow.

"Hey Ah Si, don't hug her too long or someone's gonna get jealous." Ximen teased making Ah Si and I laugh.

"Ahem. Can I get a hug from my girlfriend too?"

I smiled inwardly as Ah Si let me go and I slowly turned to face the pouty face of my boyfriend. I smiled at him teasingly.

"Mhm and who is your girlfriend? What does she look like?" I teased, looking up at me.

"Well, she's about this tall.." He said lifting his hand and laying it flat in the air just a little above my head.

"And she has long straight hair and these gorgeous brown eyes that I get lost in every time I look at her.." He continued as he ran his fingers through my hair and stared deeply into my eyes.

"But my favorite feature of hers is her adorable cheeks!" He exclaimed, pinching both my cheeks making me laugh as I tried to remove his hands from my cheeks.

"Zuo, let go!" I said in between laughter as he laughed with me. He let go eventually and kissed my forehead before hugging me tightly.

"Enough you two. Can you be sickly sweet somewhere else? You're making me vomit." Ximen prodded as we glared at him. Meizuo pouted and I kissed his cheek before handing him the cube of azaleas in my bag.

"Congratulations Zuo. I'm so proud of you." I said as I smiled up at him. He smiled back before pulling me in for a sweet kiss. I heard students awing, screaming, and groaning (mostly from Ximen) as Meizuo kissed me. I lightly blushed as we pulled away.

"I love you so much." He stated as he smiled and I smiled back.

"I love you too." I said back as I hugged him before pulling away and looking for the remaining member of the F4: Lei.

"Where's Lei?" I asked as I looked around to look for him.

"He was here just a moment ago." Meizuo said, keeping his arm around my waist as he looked around.

I turned my head in the opposite direction when I heard the sound of a violin playing.

Lei.

The sound seemed to be coming from outside the building so I walked towards the glass window, Meizuo in tow with Ximen close behind us. Ah Si stood just a little farther from us with the rest of the students watching through the windows as well.

We looked down and saw Lei playing the violin with Shancai standing a few feet away from him.

"Why is Lei playing here? He said he'll just play at the ceremony, right? And who's that girl?" Ximen asked.

"That's Shancai." I stated, keeping my eyes on the pair as Lei continued to play with Shancai looking at him. I glanced at Ah Si who did not look happy with his best friend playing the violin for Shancai.

Lei has never played for anyone except us and Jie.

Soon after, Lei finished playing and hugged Shancai.

"No way. Huaze Lei and Shancai?"

"What's going on with them?"

"Huaze Lei is playing the violin for Shancai?"

"Wow. I really envy Dong Shancai."

Everyone around us gasped and the 3 of us looked at Ah Si as he gripped the handle near the window tightly.

I inwardly smiled as I realized something.

'Lei's plan was a success. Look's like Ah Si isn't letting Shancai go anytime soon.'

After the ceremony, Meizuo and I were going to pass by the tea shop where Lei and Shancai were before we meet up with Sooyeon.

"Lei! Shancai!" I called out with Meizuo holding my hand.

"Hey Shui." Lei said giving me a hug and Shancai followed.

"I just came by to give you this." I said handing him the last cube of flowers in my bag. They were campanula and pear blossom flowers.

"Congratulations Lei. I'm gonna miss you." I said, slightly tearing up prompting Lei to hug me.

"Don't cry Shui. I'm not dying. I'm only a phone call and a chat away. I won't be as far away from you as you think." He reassured me as he continued to hug me.

"You promise?" I said, pulling away and Lei nodded.

"I promise." He said and I turned to give Shancai a small smile.

"Good luck Shancai." I said earning a confused look from the younger girl.

"Good luck? On what Shuijing?"She asked.

Meizuo, Lei, and I just looked at each other knowingly.

"You'll know soon enough." I said, winking before grabbing Meizuo and leaving the two at the café.

"So here are the results." Sooyeon said, pertaining to the yellow envelope she had in her hands.

We were at their home because I wanted the results to remain a secret, whatever it was going to be.

I tightened my grip on Meizuo's hand as he tried his best to calm me down.

"Here we go.." Sooyeon said, opening the envelope and took out the results. I saw her slowly read through the paper when she suddenly gasped before turning to look at me.

I couldn't take it anymore and grabbed the paper from her hands, reading through it rapidly when I read the last word on the paper. I didn't realize I was shaking until Meizuo held both my hands to calm me down, lightly kissing the side of my head.

There it was. Written in bold black letters.

I turned to look at Sooyeon who now had tears in her eyes.

"Welcome home, . I missed you, "

Each of the flowers that Shuijing had given the F4 have different meanings:

Ximen-

- symbol of adoration and loyalty, both of which are essential aspects of being a good friend.

Ah Si-

- conveys warmth and affection for a friend. They also symbolize remembrance and a warm memory or a token of appreciation to another.

Lei-

- Campanulas symbolize gratitude and pear blossom flowers represent lasting friendships.

Meizuo-

- Symbolizes a first love that bloomed into a lasting union.
