Lei and I headed for the cafeteria where the rest of the boys were waiting.

"Shuijing!" Ah Si called out as he greeted me with a hug, followed by Ximen. I hugged them back before walking over to Meizuo who greeted me with a quick kiss as he pulled out a chair for me.

"How are you feeling Shui?" Ximen asked as he handed me a lemon-flavored drink.

"I'm fine Ximen. Still a little confused but I'm okay." I reassured him as Meizuo handed me a plate of chicken and rice as he started to eat his own lunch.

"Where's Shancai?" I asked and they all looked to Ah Si who was silently grumbling and I laughed.

"What did you do this time?" I asked and he glared at me.

"Why do you always assume I did something?" He asked and my eyebrows raised. He sighed as he placed his chopsticks down.

"I didn't do anything this time okay? Mom did." He said and my face scrunched up in confusion.

"Auntie? What do you mean? What did she do?" I asked and he sighed.

"I'm engaged." He said and my eyes widened.

"What? With who? How? When?" I asked and Meizuo rubbed my shoulders to calm me down.

"He Yuan Zi. I had met her yesterday." He answered.

"The heiress of the He Group? The one with the oil and mining business?" I asked and he nodded.

"The only business lacking in our family is oil." Ah Si commented as he drank his juice.

"A commercial marriage to expand territory." I stated and Lei nodded in agreement.

"That's something she would do." He said.

"It's just one bomb dropped after another. First it was me with my parents and now you're engaged. What is this world coming to?" I stated and Meizuo pulled me closer and kissed my forehead in comfort.

"By the way, how's Xiaozi? What's she like?" Ximen curiously asked.

"Ah Si likes the hot-headed type, like Shancai. This kind of spoiled heiress should be sweet and silly." Meizuo stated.

"Sweet and silly? She's a monkey." Ah Si described.

"A monkey?" Lei asked.

"She climbs anything that resembles a tree and she even bites people's ears." Ah Si complained.

"Bites people's ears?" Ximen asked through laughter.

"What kind of interesting games were you playing?" Meizuo teased which made me elbow him and he winced before giving me a smile and pecking my cheek lightly.

"Cut it out. I'll go first." Ah Si said, clearly annoyed, before walking away.

"Ah Si's face is even redder than a monkey's butt." Ximen teased and I laughed before sighing. Another problem after another.

The four of us went after Ah Si as he looked around the campus for Shancai. I looked around and saw Shancai walking towards us with a girl. I looked closer and realized who she was.

He Yuan Zi.

I walked over to Ah Si and tapped his shoulder.

"Ah Si, Shancai's over there." Meizuo and Ah Si nodded in thanks before he walked away, the 4 of us following behind him.

"Hey, Monkey. Why are you here?" Ah Si demanded.

"Speaking so rudely would reduce your lifespan, you know? My name is Xiaozi." Xiaozi spat.

"I don't care what your name is. What are you doing here?" Ah Si repeated.

"Thanks to you, I was in pain all day yesterday. Don't you care about me at all?" She complained.

"In pain all day?" Ximen said, clearly being perverted.

"You were that intense the first time you met?" Meizuo added which earned him a glare from me and made him close his mouth and pull me close to him.

"I was just kidding babe. I love you." He whispered as he kissed my cheek and I just hummed in response.

"What does that have to do with me? Listen, my mom can't decide who I'd marry." Ah Si said.

"Then you listen. My mom can't decide who I'd marry too. But I like you." She declared which made my eyes widened and I looked over at Shancai who was clearly uncomfortable.

"Monkey, what are you talking about?" Ah Si asked.

"Okay. You can't fool me. Your ears got all red after I bit them, right? Now he's still putting on an act now." She stated.

"Bit his ear?" Shancai asked and I shrugged.

"I'll beat you up if you don't shut up." Ah Si threatened but Xiaozi seemed unphased.

"Daoming Si, from now on, I'll train you properly as your fiancée. We'll get married anyway. Let's date first." Xiaozi declared and Ah Si moved to hit her so I nudged Meizuo and Ximen to hold him back.

"Ah Si, how can you hit a girl?" Ximen scolded as he continued to hold Ah Si back.

"Why would I hit a girl? Let me go." Ah Si retorted as he tried to break free from Ximen and Meizuo's grip.

"Nonsense. You already did before." Meizuo reminded.

"I'm not hitting a girl. I'm hitting a monkey." Ah Si stated as Xiaozi walked closer, grabbed him by his necktie, and pulled him towards her causing Ximen and Meizuo to loosen their hold.

"Why can't you be nice? But the more naughty you are, the more I want to be with you." She said and I looked over at Shancai who was visibly upset. She stared at the scene before turning around and walking away.

"Let go of me." Ah Si said as he looked away and looked at the direction Shancai went.

That night, we were all at Ah Si's house. Apparently, they still had a project to finish and they needed my help because Ah Si wasn't picking up his phone.

"Lei, I'm so envious that you're studying music. Unlike Ximen and I, who have a lot of reports to turn in." Meizuo pointed out as he swung his arm behind my chair and rested his head on my shoulder as I typed on the laptop on my lap.

"I have to practice the piano daily. My hands have a lot of callouses." Lei retorted as he stared at his hands.

"It would be easier if I'm incredibly business-minded like Si." Ximen said as he sipped his tea before looking over at me and Meizuo.

"Or a multi-millionaire heiress who singlehandedly made 200 million when she was 15 years old." He teased which made me smile.

"Just think about how many guys are lining up to have a chance with you Shui. Me for example." He teased and suggestively moved his eyebrows as he placed a kiss on the back of my hand and I just laughed, knowing that he was joking.

I felt Meizuo pull me closer.

"Hey. Hey. Hands off." He scolded as he swatted Ximen's hand away which Ximen just laughed at.

"Awww, are you worried Ximen might take me away?" I teased and he huffed in annoyance. I laughed and kissed him on the cheek.

"You're cute when you're jealous." I teased and he pouted.

"I'm not jealous." He mumbled and I gave Ximen a knowing look.

"Really? Then you don't mind if Shui sits beside me?" Ximen teased as he grabbed me by the arm and made me sit beside him.

"Hey." Meizuo protested as he me pulled back which resulted in me sitting on his lap with his arms wrapped around my waist, his head resting in the crook of my neck.

"You're mine." He whispered before lightly kissing my ear causing me to giggle and Ximen to groan.

"Where is Ah Si? It's been over an hour and he's still not here yet." Ximen asked.

"Probably looking for Shancai." Lei said and I nodded in agreement.

"The stumbling block in Si's life is love. He has to do better in that subject or else his life would be a mess." Meizuo joked and we all laughed which ceased when we heard the front door slam.

We all looked to the doorway to see Ah Si walk in with an unreadable expression.

"Ah Si." Ximen called out which caused Ah Si to stop walking. I stood up and walked over to where Ximen was standing and noticed that Ah Si was dripping wet from the rain.

"Why are you drenched?" Ximen asked but Ah Si didn't answer and just walked away, heading for his bedroom.

"What happened to Ah Si?" Meizuo asked.

"It seems like he's struggling in the love subject again." Lei interjected and I sighed. I grabbed my phone and dialed Shancai's number but she wasn't answering.

"Ah Si's situation seems even worse than before. Should we try to understand it more?" Ximen said as I walked over to where Meizuo was sitting and rested my head on his shoulder as he grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers.

"Understand what? Isn't He Yuanzi the fiancée Si's mom found to make Shancai stay away from Ah Si after she met her?" Meizuo stated.

"What kind of girl is He Yuanzi?" Ximen wondered.

"She seemed kinda nice and she actually reminds of Shancai." I stated and Lei nodded.

"But she's way too high-strung for Ah Si. Shancai fits him better." Lei said and I agreed.

"This is what we'll do. After submitting our reports tomorrow, let's deal with He Yuanzi so that she wouldn't bother Ah Si. Then Ah Si and Shancai won't have anything to worry about. Lei, what do you think?" Meizuo said as he looked at Ximen who nodded in agreement before turning to Lei.

"What do you mean?" Lei asked.

"You have to participate too." Meizuo said.

"This is Ah Si's business. We'd only complicate things if we get ourselves involved." Lei retorted, clearly not wanting to take any part in this.

"Complicating things is precisely what we want to do." Ximen said and Meizuo nodded.

"Wait, by "dealing" with He Yuanzi, what do you mean?" I asked, confused.

"We'll go on a date with her tomorrow." Meizuo said and I hummed which made him smile.

"Jealous?" He asked and I scoffed.

"Oh please, why would I be jealous of her? Other than the fact that she's a real heiress and not some adopted piece of trash." I bitterly said which made Meizuo's smile drop. He grabbed my hand and pulled me into a back hug with his head resting on my shoulder.

"Hey. I don't care if you're an heiress or not, I love you just the same. Even more now." He said and I smiled before turning my head and pecking him on the cheek.

"He's not the only one Shui. We all love you okay? You're like a little sister to us. Even to that hotheaded Ah Si." Ximen said as he placed a hand on my shoulder and I smiled in thanks.

"Thanks guys. I'm just gonna call my Jie." I said as Meizuo let go and I grabbed my phone and walked to Ah Si's dining room to call Jie.

"Hello? Meimei?"

"Hi jie." I answered.

"How have you been? I've been calling and calling but you weren't answering." She said and I frowned.

"Sorry Jie, I've just been trying to hold it off. I didn't know what I was supposed to do .I was so shocked." I said as tears threatened to come out of my eyes.

"I know Meimei.. I'm sorry you had to find out this way.. But Meimei, I want you to know that I love you very much. Even if you aren't my real sister." She lamented and I sniffled.

"What happened Jie? How did mom and dad find me?" I asked.

"Mom was never really in good terms with grandpa and grandma because they thought she wasn't worthy of being a daughter in law of the Tengtang family but when Mom gave birth to me, they quickly warmed up but when grandpa and grandma wanted another grandchild, Mom and Dad couldn't conceive anymore. They tried everything but nothing worked until one night, they found a baby on the doorstep. The little thing was covered in a thin pink blanket and drenched from the rain. There wasn't a name or anything that could tell mom and dad who the baby was so they decided to take it in. And 20 years later, that little baby grew up and became a very wonderful and intelligent young lady." She said which made me smile and sniffle.

"Did you ever find out who they were Jie? My parents I mean or how I ended up on your doorstep?" I asked and I heard Jie sigh.

"No meimei. Mom and Dad tried finding out but we couldn't find any link to your true identity. There wasn't a name or any indication to who you really were. I'm sorry Meimei, I wish I could do more to help." She said.

"It's all right Jie.. I can still call you that right?" I squeaked out.

"Of course you can meimei..you're still my sister no matter what." She said and I smiled.

The next day, I was heading to see Shancai and Xiaoyou at the tea shop. I was feeling a bit better despite the coldness of the weather. Talking to Jie really helped a lot. I had on a black long-sleeved turtleneck under a black oversized blazer with some dark blue skinny jeans and black high heeled ankle boots. I had on a gold chain necklace and the ring that Meizuo got me. I saw the tea shop sign and walked inside with a smile on my face.

"Shancai, Xiaoyou." I greeted as they faced me

"Hi Shuijing." Xiaoyou cheerfully greeted and I smiled at the younger girl before turning to Shancai who looked kinda out of it.

"Hey, Shancai." I said and she briefly smiled.

"Don't worry Ah Si doesn't know I'm here. I'm just here to eat and I'm getting sick of burgers already." I said with a wink and she smiled.

"Sure. What do you want?"

"Can I have the mango cake Xiaoyou? And the green tea as well." I said and Xiaoyou nodded as I passed my card to her.

"Okay, I'll bring it to your table." She said as I smiled in thanks. I walked over to a table and waited for a few minutes before Xiaoyou handed me my food and I thanked her and started eating.

"Shancai." I heard someone say which caused me to look up to see Xiaozi and trailing behind her were Ximen and Meizuo who were dragging along a heavy amount of stuffed animals and shopping bags.

"Xiaozi." Shancai said, eyes slightly widened.

"I brought my two assistants along to see you." She said as Ximen approached the counter and placed down all of the stuffed animals in front of Xiaoyou. Meizuo sighed and looked around before his eyes landed on me which caused me to smile.

He gave me a quick kiss on the lips before putting down all the shopping bags and pulling out a chair and sitting beside me.

"How was the date?" I teased and he groaned as he rested his head on my shoulder.

"I was this close to hitting her." He said and I lightly swatted his arm.

"Hey. Don't be mean. She can't be that bad." I said which caused him to glare at me. I giggled as he wrapped his arms around my arm and snuggled closer to me. I gave him a kiss on his forehead and he sighed in contentment.

I looked around the shopping bags surrounding us and I laughed.

"Zuo?" I asked as I looked through one and he hummed in response.

"Why did you buy lingerie?" I asked and he groaned.

"That stupid girl made me buy them all and it turns out, she didn't want any of them. Do you know how embarrassing it is to buy all of these? I don't know what's worse: Being mistaken for a pervert or the store offering me a VIP card because I bought so much lingerie." He said and I laughed.

"What are you three doing?" I heard Shancai ask.

"What else? Dating." Ximen answered, clearly exhausted.

"Dating?" Xiaoyou repeated.

"I don't know why they asked me to come out." Xiaozi complained which made Meizuo huff and sit up straight and look at Xiaozi in annoyance.

"This was a bad decision. We stayed at the arcade all afternoon then we watched a movie. Then we went around Nanjing West Road. She hasn't had enough." Meizuo complained as I intertwined my fingers with his to calm him down.

"She asked me to buy her bras." Meizuo finished as he brought my hand to his lips and gave it a small kiss to calm himself down.

"Shancai, do you want them? There are many styles to choose from." Xiaozi offered.

"There's no need." Shancai replied, frantically moving her hands.

"I would rather shop with Xiaoyou for a year than see this terrible girl again." Ximen commented as I pulled Meizuo along to the counter.

"Then when do you plan to date me?" Xiaoyou shyly asked which caused Ximen to smile. Cute.

"But why are you doing this?" Shancai asked Xiaozi.

"Listen. At first, I thought I was too charming, they couldn't help themselves. Then I realized they wanted me to give up on Ah Si." She said which made Ximen and Meizuo's eye widen.

"How did you know?" Ximen asked.

"It's not that hard to figure out Ximen." I said, making myself known as I held onto Meizuo's hand which caused Xiaozi to look at me.

"And you are?" Xiaozi asked, curiously as she looked at me from head to toe. I smiled as I held out my hand.

"I'm Shuijing. I'm a good friend of Shancai's." I introduced myself and she lightly smiled before her eyes widened.

"Wait..Shuijing? As in ?" She asked and I nodded which made her squeal.

"Oh my god! I'm a fan of yours! Your fashion sense is amazing! You can pull off literally any style and not to mention you made 200 million in investment when you were just 15!" She squealed and I laughed in embarrassment. She called herself a fan which made me confused I wasn't a celebrity. I was an . Well, not sure but you get the picture.

"Thanks? Nice to meet you." I said, unsure of what to say.

"So what were you saying about Ximen and Meizuo?" I asked.

"Actually, you did well but I don't like you. No matter what you do, I won't like you." She stated as she looked at the two before turning to me, Shancai and Xiaoyou.

"Let me tell you. He gets tired easily. He doesn't know how to enjoy himself. But both of them are especially great to hang out with. How boring. I don't think it's fun at all." She complained, referring to Meizuo first then Ximen. She turned to both boys who looked pissed.

"Never mind. I'll go ahead. I'll leave the best-supporting actors to you. See you next time. Bye. It was nice meeting you all." She said before walking out of the store.

"Hey, who's a supporting actor? In my world, I'm always the main actor." Ximen complained as he looked at Xiaozi. Meizuo still looked annoyed so I hugged him to calm him down which he returned.

After that whole ordeal, I invited Shancai and Xiaoyou to join us for dinner. Lei couldn't come because he still had to prepare for his recital.

I sat in between Meizuo and Ximen and across from us was Xiaoyou and Shancai. They were all slumped against their hands and looked rather dejected. I leaned against Meizuo as I wrapped my arms around his waist as I nuzzled my head onto the crook of his neck.

"Why do you all look so sad?" Xiaoyou asked as she looked at her friends who looked defeated. A waiter soon came to take our orders.

"What can I get you?" He asked.

"Alcohol." Shancai stated which caused me to look at her.

"Sure. Please wait." The waiter said as he walked away.

"Shancai, you can't drink." I scolded but Shancai along with Meizuo and Ximen just sighed and slumped against their other hand.

"Hey, we can't act this way. Our plan just failed. Why are we so down?" Ximen said as he slammed his hand on the table.

"What's the matter? Is it because of that pretty girl?" Xiaoyou asked.

"Pretty? She looks like E.T." Ximen retorted, looking at Meizuo who nodded in agreement.

"Don't be mean. She wasn't that bad." I said as I hit both of them.

"Didn't you see how Monkey played us today?" Meizuo complained as he pouted at me.

"But... why are you doing something you don't like for Daoming Si?" Shancai asked and the 3 of us all looked at her like she was crazy.
