Yasmin
I sat beside Caine, glaring at my mother who wept silently across the table from me. Alpha Ruby and a few other men arranged themselves in the remaining seats at the large round table. I could feel Caine tense beside me, his mother, and the other man named Marcus stood behind us.
Clearing his throat, Alpha Ruby spoke. "Moon Queen, Prince Caine," Alpha Ruby bowed his head in turn as he spoke their names and titles. Rolling my eyes, I focused my gaze on him.
"I regret the events which have occurred here. I was not told young Yasmin had found her mate, otherwise I would have put a stop to the mating. No disrespect was meant, and my son will seek a wife in another. If it pleases you, my pack and I shall leave at once." His eye stayed locked with Caine's, never once blinking.
"It would please me," started Caine's mother who I was yet to be introduced to, "if you would show my son and his mate to sleeping quarters as well as a room for myself."
With only a nod in her direction, Alpha Ruby stood making his way from the room. His men followed behind our small party leaving my sobbing mother the only one in the room.
Walking beside Caine, I suddenly felt nervous. The last time I was near him like this, we had done the nasty then I had passed out or whatever had happened. I couldn't remember much other than burning pain throughout my body, and Caine's deep voice cooing at me the whole time.
Once the pain had stopped, my father's men were attacking me and Mary. Oh, sweet Mary. I will miss her.
The light touch of Caine's finger brought my attention back to the present. I looked around finding myself in a dark room. The furniture was basic but new, the bed large and at this moment, looked very welcoming. Large heavy metal shutters on the inside of the window had been pulled from their hidden space in the frame and secured in place effectively blocking out the sun or an enemy who wished to attack.
"Yasmin?" Caine's voice sent warmth into my bones. I spun to face him, only stopping a moment before wrapping myself around his strong physique.
"I don't want any of this Caine. They can keep their pack. I won't be their Alpha. I want nothing to do with any of them. Can we please just leave and go back home?" Just the thought of having to be around my mother or any of the wild beast made my heart falter.
What would I do if Caine insisted, we stay here? Could I find it in me to leave him? I was connected to him in a way I had never felt with anyone else. He was my air. Without him, I wouldn't breathe again.
"Shh, calm down baby. I'm not going to make you stay. It will be your choice if you take on the Alpha title or walk away." Caine tried to soothe as he stroked my hair.
"And if I do decide to walk away?" I ask with a bit of hurt pulling away from his arms. He said he wasn't going to make me stay, but he didn't say anything about coming away with me.
I paced away from him towards an open door across the room. The bathroom was basic like the room. A toilet, a single basin sink, and a shower big enough for one and a half people.

Feeling gross, I stripped what little clothes I had off, dropping them in a messy pile on the tiles. I flipped the shower on, waiting for the warm water to flow before stepping inside.
I stood for a few minutes just enjoying the heat on my skin, trying to think of nothing. Once I was heated enough, I gently rubbed my skin with the mango smelling body wash found in the shower caddy.
I heard it the second Caine stepped in the room, ignoring him the best I could. My heart is hurt, I'm tired and hungry. I'm in a place I don't feel safe and worst of all, I'm not sure the man I am fated to be with would walk away from the power which comes with being the Alpha of a pack.
Even if I was never brought up in this world, I knew the power would come with the position. You only had to watch Alpha Ruby and the way his men reacted to him to notice.
I didn't want any of it. I only wanted to find someone I love, travel the world, and when I was older settle down and start a family.
Could I even have kids with Caine? Can vampires have kids? My breathing was coming and going faster. My head was beginning to spin.
Large hands found their way around my middle, pulling me back against his chest. "Yas, what's wrong? Let me in."
I felt the light kisses he placed across my back, my head tilting to the side automatically.
"Vampire. Y-You're a vampire." Why was this only now registering with me? And I'm a "Werewolf. How am I a werewolf?"
My legs buckled under me, but Caine's arms wrapped tightly around my waist pulling me harder against him. Lowering the both of us to the tiled floor, I sobbed into his neck.
Everything that had happened to me, from the day of my birthday to this moment with Caine. Vampires and Werewolves, Wizards, Mates, Mothers-in-law, Packs, and Alphas. Forgetting my life, loving Caine, shifting, and death. Then to be kidnapped by my own family. Why? That is my only question, why?
Caine's fingers ran the length of my back lightly. Soft kisses littered the top of my head now and then. The tear had run dry and I felt better.
"Come Yas, let's get you dried. Food was left not so long ago." Caine's voice rumbled sending an uncontrolled shiver down my spine.
I stood, waiting for Caine to finish running the towel over my body. I could have done it myself, but I had wanted to see if he would. A small smile played on my mouth as he methodically wiped my body dry, only to disappear when he turned to look at me with concern.
In truth, I felt much better and I was only worried about how Caine would react once I told him I didn't want the pack. The rest was either done or unchangeable, so was there a need to stress.
Still keeping my face blank, I watched and Caine hung the now wet towel back up before grabbing a fresh one to wrap around his waist.
His large frame moved out to the other room without a look back, and just as the thought about following him crossed my mind, he had walked back in with a nightgown in his hands.
Now fully dressed, I sat on the end of the bed as Caine spooned fried rice into my mouth. Silence rang around us and not being able to take it anymore, I burst with laughter. The sudden sound startled Caine enough for the food which was resting in the bowl, to now decorated the carpet.

The only warning I had before Caine had me pinned to the bed was an animalistic growl.
"And what seems to be so funny, little mate?" His breath whispered against my skin as he drew his nose along my jaw.
"Just the image of a big scary vamp, looking so lost when it comes to touching a female's body. When you were drying me off, your nose was all squished up. It was cute." I kissed his cheek as his lips trailed down my neck.
"Oh, trust me Yas, I know perfectly well how to handle your body." The meaning behind his words could be felt to my core.
My labored breathing sounded loud in my ears. His lips felt like bliss as he nipped and sucked all over my bare skin.
"Caine, we need to talk first, please." It was a wasted effort. Both of us knew I didn't want him to stop. So, when he spoke next telling me the talking could wait till later, I didn't even try and argue.
"I had lost you, Yasmin. After waiting for so long to have my mate by my side, you were stolen from me." Planting a lingering kiss to my lips, he pulled back looking me in the eyes, "Never will I let you go again my Alpha wolf."
A proud look came over his face just as my heart fell. Sensing the change in my mood Caine pulled further back till he held his body above mine. "Hey, what's wrong?"
Taking a deep breath, I braced for the moment he would pull away from me. "I don't want to be Alpha. I don't want a pack, and I don't want anything to do with other wolves." Unable to stop now the flood gate was opened my rant continued. "All I have wanted was to find a nice man, travel the world, and settle down with him. Now instead of that, I have a bunch of wild animals wanting me to lead them, a family I can't trust, a man who will no doubt leave me, and a life I never wanted. I mean can we even have kids? And if we did what will they be?"
Pausing to take in some air, tears slipped quietly down my face. My eyes never left Caine's and as I spoke, I noticed the way his eye hardened. The small change in him had confirmed my fears. We both wanted different things.
Not wanting to look at him anymore, unsure if my soul could take it, I closed my eyes breaking the stare.
"Don't," Caine's hard voice made me freeze. I had heard him angry before but never directed at me like it was now. "Don't ever think that I would love you any less than with the whole of my heart. There is nothing I would love more on this earth than to be beside you."
With a heavy sigh he continued, "Yasmin, you don't have to accept the Alpha title. I assumed that you wanted control of your family's pack." His hand cupped my face, pulling it back so we were eye to eye once more. "All I need is you, do you understand? Tomorrow we will speak to the pack, we will choose a new Alpha and then we will leave all of this behind us."
A smile found its way to my mouth. "Really?" I asked still not certain he was telling the truth.
"Yes Yas, we may have to be here for a week to sort out the new Alpha, but then we can go."
Before he knew it, I had wrapped my body around his, flipping us so I was in control, and crashed my lips to his.
Within moments, our clothing was shredded from our bodies in a messy display of need. My body was begging for Caine to be inside. The smell of my need filled the room as hungry kisses bruised the soft skin all over my body. My hips moved to their own rhythm, rubbing the length of his rock-hard member with my wet cave, coating the bulging vein in my juices.
Biting down hard on one of his nipples, Caine groaned as his hands needed my breast punishingly. "Caine" his name left my mouth in a desperate whisper. His fingers ran down my sides digging into the flesh at my waist.
"Mine." With that one-word, Caine had our positions flipped and me on my hands and knees. Startled a small squeal escaped resulting in a slap to my raised ass cheeks. "Yasmin, I'm not going to be able to hold back."
"Caine," I stopped him. "Just fuck me already."
With a low growl, his hands spread my cheeks slightly, the smooth tip of his hardened rod pressed hard against my entrance. One of his hands slid along my spine, pressing my head lower to the bed so my ass sat higher in the air. "Stay there, and hold on to something."
My fingers curled into the sheets and Caine slammed his cock hard inside of me, only stopping once his full length was seated inside. Loud moans left both our lips, a feeling of completeness overwhelming me.
"More," was all I could say.
Caine pulled himself out until just the head remained inside of me, holding still until I could no longer stand it. Tilting my hips on an angle, I tried to shift back to force him to enter me. Another slap to my ass made a wanting sigh leave me.
With no warning, Caine thrust back inside than out once more on an endless loop. My mind was lost in the feeling of the bliss of having the one man who owns my heart deep inside me. His rhythm picked up in tempo as his finger found its way to my pulsing nub. It only took a few strokes of that little piece of flesh to have the building pressure inside of me release in a strong wave. My body pulsed, clamping my inner walls around his engorged muscle just as Caine's release stole over him. Draining every last drop of his seed, he collapsed next to me on the bed, pulling me with him so I was curled up in his arms.
My eyes had already drifted shut, exhausted from the recent events.
"Love you Yas," Caine whispered.
With a small smile, I replied, "Love you too, Caine."
