《~danganronpa chatfic~》Chapter 38

I blinked open my eyes hoping to find Celeste's library but instead I was met with the trial room.
again.
"fuck.." I muttered to myself. I looked around the room. No Junko. No dead people. So far so good. I was standing behind my podium in dead silence.
"Hello? Anyone there?" I asked. My voice echoed but no response came back. Kinda reminded me when that one dumb person in a horror movies yells that out in a dark room. Like seriously? What, do you expect a murderer to say, "oh yeah i'm here and about to stab you".
I sighed.
"hahah..."
"Ngh!- seriously?!" I yell out. I looked around but I couldn't find her.
"Aw come on! You should be used to this. I mean, you had these nightmares for " Junko said.
I kept trying to figure out where she was but I failed. The echo made it worse. It made it harder to find out where she was.
"I only had these nightmares because of you! You're literally torturing me!" I clenched my fist.
"Hahaha! You seriously think that?!" Junko laughed.
I heard her. Behind me.
I turned around and saw her.
her body.
Mangled and bloodied.
Blood dripping out of her.
bits of flesh sticking out of her skin.
Scabs all over her that were fresh.
Her hair soaked with blood and a wide grin plastered on her face.
All the....blood...and...gore...this is what happened....when she got executed...
It made me feel
Junko laughed as I stumbled back. Though that just made her corner me since I was standing at my podium
"Oh Makoto..." she traced her nail down my cheek.
"I'm not torturing you..." She said.
""
"W-what?" I choked out.
"I'm not the one causing these nightmares! It's your own conscious." Junko smiled with blood dripping down.

"W-what do you mean..." I leaned away from her.
"You're making these thoughts up! It's super funny actually. How the hero thinks the villain is the problem when really...they're actually the problem." Junko stroked my cheek leaving a trail of blood on it.
I winced, "B..but you caused it. Whether I-I make up these nightmares myself, it's only because you created the killing game. Everything is your fault! You ruined my life! Any chance for me to be a normal person was ruined....by you! You manipulative...lying...little..." I dug my nails into my palm.
Junko narrowed her eyes, "Does it look like I care? Jeez you're pathetic. Honestly I don't even know how you're still alive. Anyone who is friends with you has no brain." Junko said.
"I..." I stared at the floor.
All my anger just evaporated. It was replaced by a hollow emptiness.
"Aw don't worry! Everyone is mentally unstable and has survivors guilt. Not." She put her bloodied hand on my cheek and I moved away from it.
"Can't you just...leave me alone?" I asked.
"Like I said! You're the one who creates these delusions. These fears. These hallucinations. These "
"...." I choked down a sob.
"If I were you, I would've killed myself ages ago. You should get on with it." She smirked.
"...Just...stop" I collapsed on the ground and leaned against my podium.
"Heyyy don't be such a weak bitch! No one likes a weak bitch." Junko crouched down in front of me.
"Stop it..."
"Aw why should I? Were already having so much fun! Seeing you cry like this, even in a dream, Is so cute. Watching the despair on your face as your hope gets slowly crushed!" she laughed.
Why can't I fight back....

It's just a dream....
Just a dream...
Just a dream...
Just a dream....
Just a dream....
"Don't you have some sedatives in your house? Maybe when you get back you can chug a whole bottle! Not like anyone will miss you!" she put a finger on her chin.
Not like anyone will miss me...
"How did you know I had sedatives at my house...?" I asked quietly.
"Remember?~ I'm apart of your imagination! So I know everything about you!" Junko said.
".....right......"
"You had these thoughts before. Right? Wanting to end it all. Not wanting to go through more pain any longer. Thinking no one will miss you. Plagued by horrible thoughts every single day. Bottling everything up so you don't worry your friends. It's rather pathetic isn't it?" Junko smiled.
"It's not my fault." I muttered.
"Hmmm it is. This is your own conscious is torturing you. So technically~ it is your fault! What a plot twist!" Junko cackled.
"Stop..." I covered my ears. But Junko grabbed my wrist and squeezed tightly, her nails digging in my arms.
"Just kill yourself. No one will miss you." She said.
No...one will....miss me...?
"Aww is the little baby crying? You wanna go back to your mom and dad? Oh right! Their dead." Junko teased.
"Don't talk about my parents like that." I tried to glare but all it did was make Junko laugh.
"I'll do whatever I want! Besides, I am apart of you. I won't ever leave you. These thoughts will follow you forever. You're never going to forget me. Your whole life will be filled with misery and disappointment. Such a shame really..." Junko clicked her tongue.
"No..." I muttered.
"Aw what do you mean? You think you have a choice?! No. I will stay with you forever." Junko smiled.
"Stop it."
"Aw don't worry! You can get rid of these thoughts by ending it all! Not that hard eh?"Junko said.
"I..."
"Ooo dont speak! Your voice is honestly so annoying. How are people friends with you? They must be super dedicated if they became friends with you!"
How...are people friends with me?....
"Such a useless nobody. You're just a nobody. Someone who should die. Someone who no one would care about. Someone who would die and the universe would still go on. Right?" She sneered.
"Please stop it." I squeezed my eyes shut so I wouldn't have to stare at her bloody body.
"Where's the fun in that? It's so fun!" Junko squealed.
"Leave me alone. Stop doing this to me." I muttered.
"Remember what I said! you're doing this to yourself. All of this...is just your inner thoughts. Manifested into a body that will torture you for your whole life. Kinda ironic isn't it?" She said.
"Stop teasing me. Stop mocking me. Just ." I put my knees up to my chest.
"Admit it Naegi. You deserve to die." Junko dug her nails into my arm.
"I...I..."
Deserve to die...
I...I...deserve...
"Makoto.."
I...deserve to...
"Makoto."
I..deserve to....to...
"Makoto!"
I deserve to di-
"MAKOTO!"
I gasped and my eyes shot open. No trial room. Just Byakuya sitting over me looking very concerned.
"By...Byakuya?" I asked. "What happened...?"
"You were tossing and turning and muttering stuff. I'm assuming you had a-"
I didn't let him finish his sentence. I just dove into his chest and clutched his shirt, "I-I'm so sorry..." I whispered as tears stream down my face.
"What happened? Are you okay?" He asked as he rubbed my back.
"It..."
"...was just a nightmare"

Death Lives
When the universe is destroyed the avatar of death is reborn.Once an all powerful being but limited in scope, Death now has a chance to learn and grow.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This is my first novel, please be critical of it where it needs to be. I'm not sure if there will be romance in the future. It is unlikely for the MC but perhaps I will have meaningful relationships between side characters that will be worth adding the tag.The Mature tag is simply because there will be killing, descriptive scenes, and more. There will be no described rape at all in my story, anything of the like will be merely alluded to but not talked about in any matter if at all. Please enjoy and thank you.
