Seeing Nate walk back in I stand up so that I can get ready to cut his hair.
"You ready to do my hair, Jay". He asked taking a seat.
"Yea I'm ready". I said wrapping a new tape around his neck and cutting on my clippers.
"So my boy Ace said he fuck with a girl named Jennifer and I was like I know somebody name Jennifer". He started off but I cut him off before he could finish.
"And what did he say". I ask looking down at him.
"He basically said it's a lot of Jennifer's and I couldn't be talking about the one he know". He said and I let out a breath of air.
"Oh hopefully he doesn't find her". I said taping up His edges.
"Huh". He said and I quickly shook my head.
"I said hopefully he finds her". I said changing it up as I start cutting the rest of his head.
Finally getting off work me and Jamie get in the car to go to her check-up and I'm her ride since her car is in the shop.
"Girl Nate is always playing like I won't snatch him up". Jamie said causing me to laugh as I started the car.
"That man has a girlfriend already Jamie". I said pulling off.
"Damn if I was one of those bitches who didn't give a fuck I would take him from her". She said as we both laughed because we knew that she definitely would.
"It's a good thing you ain't but how long is this check-up going to take". I ask looking over at her for a second before looking at the road.
"Not that long you should get a check-up with me". She said and I shook my head no.
"Why not you scared you going to find out something". She asked and I shook my head again.

"It's most definitely that". I said pulling into the parking lot.
"If you think it's something then you need to get checked". She said as we got out of the car and walked towards the building.
"Okay, I'll get mines while you're getting yours". I said agreeing because I knew she would bug me all day about it.
Walking inside I sign a clipboard that they handed me and Jaime before taking it back up to the receptionist desk. Just as I was going to sit down they called my name.
"Good luck boo". She said as I followed the nurse to the back.
"Alright, we're going to check your height, weight, and temperature and take you to a room to wait for the doctor". She said writing down my height and weight as I sat down to get my temperature taken.
"Okay follow me". She said and I stood up following behind her.
Walking into the room I sit on the bed as she sits at the computer typing.
"When was the start date of your last period". She asked looking back at me.
"It was umm, it was actually I haven't had one In two months my periods are irregular so I never really paid attention". I said and she turned back around typing.
"Thoughts of suicide". She asked and I shook my head.
"No". I replied.
"Do you smoke". She asked still typing.
"No I don't smoke". I said looking around the room.
"Alright, we're done the doctor should be in here in a few". She said logging out of the computer and walking out.
"If I'm pregnant he's going to kill me". I whispered to my self with my head in my hands.
After a few minutes, the doctor walked in shaking my hand with a nurse who was setting up.

"Hello, nice to see you my name is Dr.Liyah ". She said shaking my hand as I gave her a small smile.
"Nice to meet you". I said placing my hand back into my lap.
"So I see here that you're two months late". She said flipping through the pages of on the clipboard.
"Umm yes". I said nodding.
"Lay back for me I'm just going to place this gel on your stomach to see if we can spot anything". She said and I did as told watching her work.
Looking at the screen I see the body developing causing me to tear up.
"Well it looks to me that you have a little baby growing mama". She said cutting the machine off and handing me napkins to wipe my stomach.
"Wow, I'm just shocked". I said sitting there in Disbelief.
"Here is a prescription for your prenatal vitamins make sure you take them because the baby is a little underdeveloped and I've also scheduled your next appointment". She said handing me a paper.
"Thank you so much". I smiled before walking out and running into Jaime.
"Hey girl I was looking for you did everything check out". She asked as we walked out of the building to the car.
"I'm healthy and clean what about you". She asked when she noticed I didn't say anything.
"I'm pregnant". I said as I drove off.
"Well that's good wait WHAT PREGNANT omg omg this is unbelievable". She said freaking out causing me to laugh.
"I know". I said looking over at her for a second.
"Congratulations boo but how are you going to tell Ace you told me he doesn't want any kids". She said with concern laced in her voice.
"That's the thing I don't know". I said with the same voice of concern.
"Well good luck just know I got your back". She said and I nodded.
"Thanks, I'm going to need it". I said and we drove the rest of the way in silence.
Hopefully he changes his mind since he already has one...

The American Dream: An Alternate, Time-Travel Timeline
Due to a mysterious transcendent being, United States Marine Corps First Lieutenant Samuel Kim from the year 2016 is thrown back in time to the year 1775. To make matters worse, he wakes up near Bunker Hill, mere hours before the famed Battle of Bunker Hill is set to begin. Realizing the unique situation he finds himself in, the lieutenant takes the opportunity to change the fate of the battle and ensure an overwhelming American victory. Guided by his "patronizing" "God" and the American revolutionaries, Lieutenant Kim embarks on a journey to help America gain its independence and to ensure the nation uphold its "most promising" ideals from the very beginning. Author's Warning: The story is very rough in the first few chapters (and as some readers pointed out, some parts are laughable, such as "American idealism"). However, the pace and quality of the story improves from chapter four and onwards. You will enjoy the story if you have some interest in history, worldbuilding, and the butterfly effect (along with a few badass characters). So even if you are a bit turned off in the beginning, I promise that the story improves quickly.

The Dungeon's Escapee
An Earthling, a Summer Elf, and the only male Phoenix in existence walk into a Dungeon... Okay, maybe they don't really do it so much for glory but rather because it's their job, and maybe they weren't really together, and some of them were actually walking out. Enter the world of Cespes, a land of magic, mystery, and monsters. Now, the Ancient Gods have gone silent even as magic enters the Golden Era. The Avish Empire might have fallen four thousand years ago, yet much of society remains fragmented, even as they share more cultural ties than ever before. Adventurers have always formed parties. Now, there are Dungeons, dark, grey blobs that dominate Kingdom maps and kill everything within sight. Yet, beyond even these obvious places of danger entwined with fortune, a forgotten evil rears its head after fermenting for millennia. A call for heroes has arrived. Warning: This story is written in the first and third person with multiple POVs. I will try to publish at least once every two weeks, if not more. Cover art by: [email protected]

Meet the good-for-nothing anti-social NEET Jasper. Let's just say that he was born under an unlucky star, being wrongfully incarcerated in the galaxy's most infamous private maximum security prison, home to serial killers and many cut-throat criminals. Will Casper be able to prove his innocence and adapt to the cruel and oppressive prison system and rise up the food chain? --------- Alright. Before I start off, this is going to be my first fiction. It could be dropped anytime and there might be random hiatus inbound. This fiction is basically a first draft~ish.(?) So please pardon my two-dimensional characters or my shitty grammar or poor use of descriptive words in this fiction. Doing this purely for fun and it's going to stay that way. Let's take this step by step alright? [There isn't really a set in stone plot drafted so it might flop after a bunch of chapters lmao] Reviews with constructive criticism are appreciated, I will try my best to improve as we go along.
