I lie on the beach, the sun glaring into my back. Seth is playing beach football with the other boys. Beads of sweat covering their bodies. Seth's hair rests in damp curls on his head.
"Have you decided on college yet?" Callie asks me as she rubs sunscreen onto her stomach and legs.
"No." I say letting out a massive sigh. "I kind of want to go to navarro, but then again that's only two years, and cheer doesn't lead anywhere you know? Where as at least with soccer I can actually do something with even if it's just social instead of div 1. And Bea and I have talked about going to Navarro together ever since we were little." I explain to her as she nods her head.
"How about you?" I ask her taking the sunscreen and rubbing some onto her back for her.
"Princeton." Callie says with a firm nod taking a bite of a tortilla chip.
"That's amazing. Little miss brainbox over here." I say nudging her gently. She just chuckles and shakes her head.
"What about Seth?" Callie asks me. I sigh gently and squeeze some more sunscreen onto my hands, this time for myself.
"Well you know. Very early to start talking about it. Obviously I'm planning on going to lousiana at some point which is you know helpful because he wants to go there. But I think I'm going to wait to talk about it with him because he might not want to stay together. He might want to live his college journey." I say gently, coming to the harsh realisation that that was a very possible reality.
"Dude. He is so in love with you. That boy wants you to have his kids." Callie says shaking her head. I raise my eyebrows and scrunch my nose up.
"When Bea gets here I need to tell her. I feel like her and I have drifted so much since she started dating Luke. She just seems much less interested in me you know? But I can't blame her because I also know I haven't tried to reach out to her and hang out with her more either. Seth has been a lot of my time recently." I say with a sigh as Callie rubs sunscreen onto my back.
"Go talk to her, sit her down and discuss how your feeling. Tell her about you and Seth." Callie suggests. I nod and rub a hand over my face stressed. My anxiety was bubbling up.
"I think I will. Surely she's back by now?" I say turning around and looking for her.
"She is. She's in the kitchen with Carla unpacking the drinks into the fridge." Callie informs me munching on another small handful of tortilla chips.
"Thank you so much Callie. I love you. I'll be back soon." I say waving to her as I jog up the beach towards the kitchen.
"Hey Bea." I call as I step into the house through the glass sliding doors that lead into the open plan kitchen living area.
"Hey Lacey." Bea says with a grin turning around towards me. I pull her into a tight hug before planting a kiss onto her cheek.
"Can we talk about some stuff?" I ask her wincing at Carla apologetically. Carla nods pleasantly and heads down the beach towards Callie at the group of towels we collectively laid out.
"Always. What's up?" Bea asks me throwing back a quick scull of a white claw.

"Well I just feel like we haven't hung out as much and we're drifting a little, but I don't know it might just be me. I just wanted to check in make sure we were algood you know?" I ask her cautiously choosing my words, my stomach twisting slightly in anxiety.
"We're always good Lacey." Bea says with a chuckle confused to my worry.
"Okay good. Just you know. I need reassurance sorry I uh-" I start rambling fidgeting with my hands.
"It's okay I get it. And just know Lacey I will always be here, even when it feels like I'm not. I will be." Bea says pulling me into her arms, hugging me tightly.
"Thanks so much Bea." I say releasing my stress with a long sigh.
"Also. Seth and I are together together." I say quickly, wincing as my heart rate picks up a few hundred paces.
"Really?!" Bea exclaims excitedly.
Sorry come again?
"Yeah." I say grinning. Waiting for the catch.
"Aw I'm so happy for you." She grins. I must have had a slightly confused look on her face. "Luke, talked to me and actually made me love the idea of my brother and best friend together. I mean it's disgusting if I think about it too much because Seth is gross. But you will hopefully be my sister in law one day." Bea says grinning at me.
"Luke is really good for you huh." I say grinning, linking my arm through hers as we make our way towards the beach.
"He is." She says gently looking fondly over at him, towards the boys playing football. I spot Seth and check him out smirking to myself at how gorgeous this boy was.
"Noticed your wearing bikini." Bea says nudging me with her hip.
"I am. Finally." I say excitedly as we make it to the towels where Carla has joined Callie on the towels watching the boys.
"I'm sure Seth is enjoying it." Bea says with a gag. I roll my eyes and chuckle.
"Should we go give the boys a run for their money?" I ask them as we reach the towels.
"Oh absolutely." Callie says jumping up excitedly. Carla chuckles and stands as well as we make our way towards the boys.
"Hey ladies. Care for a game of football that we will absolutely smash you at." I call out to the boys as we near them. Seth turns towards me, his hands on his hips, his chest rising and falling heavily a lopsided grin on his face.
"Lace. Baby. We all know you will lose especially if I'm on the opposite team." Seth says flexing his muscles. I roll my eyes.
My heart skips at his choice of words.
"No we won't." I say rolling my eyes at him with a grin.
"nO We wON't." He mimics. "Famous last words." He says pointing his finger at me with a mischievous grin.
"You better watch your mouth young man." I say unlinking my arms from Bea and making my way forwards towards him, wrapping my arms around his shoulders.
"You love this mouth of mine." Seth says smirking. I smack his arm. And he chuckles.
"Because I'm a really good kisser." He continues before swooping down, planting his lips on mine.
"Eh." I say in-between kisses, he chuckles and nibbles my bottom lip teasingly before his hands slip down to my lower back.

"Watch those hands!" Cory's voice calls out. One of Seth's hands move and I can only assume he's flipping Cory off before returning. An amused smile makes it's way onto my face throughout the kiss.
"Ok guys. I've accepted that you two are together. But you don't have to be so, you know. Maybe just tone down the public display of affection." Bea's voice says.
"I'm getting my daily dosage of dumbass in. Oh shit sorry I mean Lace." Seth says breaking away. I smack his arm with a small grin.
"Ok but we actually are going to kick some ass right?" I ask as everyone slowly congregates in a circle.
"That we are." Callie agrees with a chuckle.
"I'm sorry ladies this is football not soccer. I mean we'd beat you at both but you have even less of a chance of winning." Luke says with a grin. We all protest at this.
Eventually we are divided up into two teams. Callie, Luke, Cory, Olivia and a few others are on my team. Seth, Bea, Carla, Maia and some others are on the other team.
"Rules. No proper tackling. We don't want to cart anyone to the hospital thank you. Instead of tackling you just have to pick up by the legs or if you can't lift the other person you have to jump onto their back like a piggy back." Callie explains using her hands as she talks.
"Well Lace lucky you, looks like you will be giving me a piggy back." Seth says with a teasing grin. My mouth drops open in shock. I let out a laugh as he instantly begins moving away from me in worry.
"Watch that mouth of yours princess. Your going to be the one getting a piggy back," I say raising my eyebrows at him as I back up to my position.
He purses his lips and tries to stare down at his lips.
"I'm watching them." He says not taking his eyes off his lips.
"Smartass." I say with a chuckle at the stupid face he's making. He grins before moving into position.
We play back and forth for a few rounds, scoring a few touchdowns each with the wonkily drawn on touchdown line that Cory and Dallas had struggled drawing with their feet. The game had my laughing and grinning, everyone was laughing at each other. The vibe of the day was immaculate.
Eventually it got too hot and Seth 'tackled' me throwing me over his shoulder, on the way to the ocean. Dunking me as soon as it was deep enough.
"Your going down princess." I say wading after him. He grins and ducks under a wave. I chase after him, until I can't touch the bottom.
He grins as he stands, the water up to his shoulder.
"A bit short there Lace?" Seth asks me with a smirk. I roll my eyes as I reach to hold onto him.
He ducks out of my way with a cheeky grin. I shake my head at him a grin on my face.
"I'm just kidding." He says reaching forwards to grab my waist. I duck out of his way this time and shake my head.
"Nope. Should have taken the chance when you got given it." I say with a teasing smirk. Seth pouts. I roll my eyes and swim towards him again, wrapping my arms around his shoulders and my legs around his waist.
"Hi." He says as our faces inch closer together.
"Hi." I reply with a small smile.
"I like your bikini." Seth says grinning at me.
"I like it too." I say poking out my tongue at him. He leans forward and kisses me softly before pulling away slightly.
"I hope I get to take it off later." He murmurs before pressing his lips to mine again. This time it's my turn to pull away.
"Wishful thinking." I say shaking my head at him, knowing fully well he probably would get to. Before kissing him again.
Kissing him is like an intoxicating drug. I never want to pull away, constantly wanting to go back for more. One of my hands rests on his cheek, brushing his cheekbone gently. My other resting on his shoulder. I break away after a while, leaning my forehead against his while I catch my breath.
"Your my favourite." Seth mutters. I grin in victory.
"Does that mean I'm a better kisser than Luke?" I ask him, a small smirk stretching across my face.
"I don't know I might need another tester just to make sure." Seth says with a small smirk. I roll my eyes and plant a small kiss on his lips. He pouts and I roll my eyes.
"Whatever big guy. In your dreams." I say making a face at him.
"Yeah probably." Seth says winking at me. I throw my head back with a laugh and shake my head.
"Your so beautiful." Seth mutters. I roll my eyes and shake my head at him.
"Are you going for a surf tonight?" I ask him changing the subject.
"Yeah I think so. Are you going to come?" He asks me. I shake my head.
"I'll go tomorrow I think. I'm gonna have a catch up with Bea maybe hang here for a girls night with some of the other ladies. Let you boys get some practice in before I kick your asses tomorrow." I say subtly with a grin.
"Oh right right. I forgot my girls a pro surfer." Seth says with a roll of his eyes.
AJFKSDAHGALAFJLADAFLAS-
"Say that again." I say a smile making it's way onto my face.
"I forgot my girl is a pro surfer?" Seth asks confused. I grin again, I pull out my low bun and shake my hair out, leaning back to dip it into the water before leaning forwards again.
"I love the sound of that." I say smiling to myself.
"Sound of what?" Seth asks. "Pro surfer?" He asks me and I just shake my head.
"Not telling." I say kissing the end of his nose with a smug grin. He grins at me. Pressing his lips to mine again.
"Guys. Keep it sister friendly please." Bea calls out from where she is a few metres away. I chuckle and wave an apologetic hand at her. She throws me a wink before turning back to Luke, Callie, Cory and Carla.
"Can you come stay with me at the boys house tonight after your girls evening thing?" Seth asks me quietly.
"Sure." I say with a grateful smile.
"Good." Seth says kissing my forehead before he nods towards the others.
