Hello everyone, as I have read some comments regarding some parts of the story and had some questions on the characters, so here I am to share more in depth explanation of the characters.

First Life - Original path

2nd Life - 1st Rebirth

3rd Life - 2nd Rebirth

This character that I have created is quite hard to write because from the first few chapters, I focus on the driving force of her trying to escape from Xuan Di. She no longer long for love as a woman and wants to escape from this place where she had so many memories, both good and bad.

However, after she escaped from Xuan Palace, this is the difficult path to write. She no longer need love, her emotional empathy had reduced to the minimum after what she had been through for the past 2 lives. She had fulfilled both good and evil roles in her 2 lives, both the victim and the villainess, therefore there is nothing in life will ever stir her heart again, except for her family.

Now that she is free, she has her own will to carry on her path, but she is feeling lost. She has no direction or a goal to achieve. She wants to live a life, but she doesn't know how to. In such a confusion state, she will never be able to fall in love again. This leads to the next point.

As a person who had run out of love, compassion, empathy, she can't even love herself so what makes you think she will easily fall for another man? Love and relationship will be the last thing she wants and it is definitely influenced by the failed love she had. The thought of knowing another human being once again, the long path towards another man's heart, Jae-in is tired of it. She is afraid of love.

So, I declare that Jae-in will never fall in love with another man.

The only man that has the highest possibility of making her fall back in love will be Xuan Di. He is her first love, the man she loved till her death, the man that she is familiar with each breath he takes and each movement he makes. BUT, this does not mean that she falls back in love easily.

What I am trying to say is that, Xuan Di has the highest chance to approach her but it depends on his effort to redeem himself.

To clarify on this, let's imagine this situation:

You met a stranger, and he is definitely someone you never meet before, yet you feel a sense of familiarity. Despite this familiarity, you feel guarded and repulsive. You just don't like this person, not that he offended you or he upset you intentionally, you just dislike everything about him. Other than putting a distance to avoid him, there is nothing else you can do because mannerism is one quality that is important in your era.

This will explain why Jae-in refrain herself from confronting Xuan Di or escape from him immediately. There is no real reason or evidence that Wang Xuan is Xuan Di because he changed his looks. Plus, if she actually treated him rudely or badly, in other people's eyes, she is the villain.

Simple, because Jae-in doesn't think that she is that valuable enough for Xuan Di to chase after her personally. She had been living 2 lives of being a dirt to him, treated badly on an emotional level. Yes, she initially felt confused as to why Xuan Di reacted so strongly when she escaped from Capital of Xuan. But then, she easily accepted the reason to be: Xuan Di doesn't like things to get out of control. She knew him inside out, and she probably guessed that when Xuan Di calm himself down, he might accept her escape.

She can't see the reason to why Xuan Di will chase after her.

Although she is the Empress and did involve herself in politics for her 2nd life, there are limits to where she can reach out. Her main purpose in her 2nd life is to gather power and form a party that support her as the Empress, she wants power security to ensure her family's safety and to take control over all the noble ladies being sent into the palace as a gift to Xuan Di. Her main concern is just that, to control the ladies in the Imperial Women Palace.

Whether Wang Xuan did exist in the government or not, it doesn't matter to her because there are 1,000 and 1,000 of people working under Xuan Di. She won't know exactly every one of them and the position is just a mere ambassador. During the banquet, her reaction is more like this:

"Oh new face? Who's that?"

Oh my ML, the one that has been hated on by every reader. All I can say is that, he is actually low-key possessive, obsessive and denial. I do admit that what he did to Jae-in is unforgivable, deserve a kick at his groin. But, he is a man that believe in his rights and belief. Once he brands someone as evil, no matter what they do will be evil. Plus that emperor ego of his, there is no way for him to see that he is wrong.

Jae-in is someone that played a big part in his life, she is also someone that he will never remove from his life despite how much he say he hated her. She was initially well-behaved, craving for his love, play the love-game in the palace, he accepted that. But the moment she starts to escape and leave him, that's when he will never let it happen.

Though he hated her for some reason, she is branded as his. She belongs to him.

Anyway, trust me on this. As a vivid reader of strong FL love and Chinese Imperial Palace harem kind of novel, I assure you that this love between Jae-in and Xuan Di is not going to be like:

- WOW, ML suddenly treats FL well, give FL everything he had, pamper FL like a princess. Okay, FL give ML a try and now they are happily in love.

- Oh my, ML saved FL from those bad guys, treated FL unlike the past, suddenly forgot about the torturous past, Okay, let's fall in love.

- ML chase after FL with hard on LOVE MODE, FL forget all the shitty things that he did to her. Fall back in love with her heart doki-doki when they look at each other ...

Nah, these will not happen in this story man. Full of shit and no logic to one's natural reaction just to force a love reconciliation. (Okay, it's just me ranting)

Many expressed their disgust to him having sex with other women other than Jae-in. I agree but sadly this is their culture in the past and this is a norm in their era. It might seem to be a wrong deed as now in the modern generation, relationship is practised to be one-to-one, but there is nothing Xuan Di can do about this.

For those who know, there is a difference when you have sex with someone you love and someone you don't.

Though he bedded with other woman, that does not mean that it fulfil him emotionally. To him, women are just tools to vent his frustration or to carrying on the lineage, which is sad because he had never experienced any sort of emotional attachment.

OH YES baby! My favourite character

My favourite character with my favourite ML. Many might feel confused with the switch-up from the initial Qi Yuan to the later part of Qi Yuan, which is GOOD. Because, he is a complicated character. Yes, same as Xuan Di, I disagree with the way he is treating Ai Le and her love.

*WARNING IN ADVANCE*

As the story progress, Qi Yuan might carry out certain actions that is against majority's acceptance. So, I can predict many of y'all will slowly hate him. HAHAHHAHAHAHA

Both Xuan Di and Qi Yuan deserve some kick in their groin, and they need to do shit to get their love back.
