"Your Imperial Majesty, we shall commence the start of the carriage." Eunuch Gao speaks from the outside, near the window that Xuan Di sit close to.

Not receiving any response, Eunuch Gao wave his hands as a sign of approval to move on. As this is a disguised undercover trip, Xuan Di instructed not to bring too many people. With 4 palace ladies disguised as maids, including 1 palace lady from each consort and 2 serving palace ladies for the Emperor, 4 skilful knights that includes the head of commander and his 3 underlings.

But this does not include the shadow knights that hide in unseen places, protecting Xuan Di wherever he is at. Eunuch Gao has instructed the carriage driver to proceed to the most expensive and prestigious Ke Zhan (Inn) in the Capital of Xuan, Long Feng Ke Zhan, that he booked so to ensure a comfortable stay for the Emperor.

[Long Feng Ke Zhan: Translate to English will be Dragon Phoenix Inn. It sounds high class and appear to be a dignified place for high status people to stay.]

Unlike the easy and carefree atmosphere the maids and knights felt while following behind the carriage, a tense and heavy ambience settled within the carriage.

With Beauty Belle Su sitting beside Xuan Di, as though she did nothing on purpose but yet with intentions, she rub herself and mainly her cleavage onto Xuan Di's left arm while she share her excitement of leaving the palace and how bless she is to be rewarded by Xuan Di.

Of course, all these are being said loudly as if Jae-in was deaf and could not hear the underlying boasting that she is trying to convey to her. Ignoring all the attempts that Beauty Belle Su is trying, she remain calm and quiet in her seat which is directly opposite them, and focus on the scenery of the palace walls that can be viewed from the window covered with chiffon white see-through curtain.

As Jae-in quietly sit there, Xuan Di take this chance to observe her.

That cross-collar dark blue based color with baby pink small flower petals sewn nicely down from the top to the bottom, somehow it blended well. To match the decorative small petals of the flowers, a baby pink skirt was worn with a dark blue and white sesh tied around her small waist.

As though it isn't enough to show off her beauty, her hair is loosely let down instead of it being tied up, like a normal married lady who will decorate with excessive hair accessories, her fringe is parted in the middle and only some part of her hair being brought up and twisted, yet magically secured with a simple white silver pin with beads draping down on one side.

Staring at her face while she look out from the nearest window, Xuan Di's eyes remain glued to her clothes, her hair, her face and her lips. It seems like she didn't put much makeup except for the exceptionally red lips that drawn his undivided attention to it, not knowing why. To be honest, his attention was immediately captured when he saw her waiting on the side before he reach the carriage.

And the moment she board the carriage, once again his eyes glued onto her but one thing that ticked him off was that she did not bother looking at him once.

Observing her behaviour, Xuan Di admit internally that she had changed. Something happened without him knowing and he did not like this. He don't like uncertainty and he dislike the feeling of not being in control of what was going on.

Although he is staring and devouring her existence into his eyes, he thought nobody realised it, not even Jae-in herself, of course except Beauty Belle Su. She saw the attention that Xuan Di was giving to Jae-in and starts to feel bitter on the inside.

'Why is he looking at her like this? I thought the rumours saying that he hated her was true? I have been up in the early morning to start preparing myself and yet he did not once spare a glance at me.'

A small part of her broke and a tint of sadness seep in, but it was gone quickly as she continue to please Xuan Di by grabbing some fruits to feed him.

'At least I am in his arms and cuddling him. If I can't get his heart, at least I got his body.'

As the couple continue to demonstrate their lovey-dovey moments that she don't regret not being part of it, her mind never once stop indulging in her thoughts.

Finally the carriage is out of the palace and Jae-in manage to see a different set of image.

Looking out into the changing scenery of the nature, she wondered how many years was it since the last time she actually see the world.

Looking across the plain field filled with brown looking grass, all Jae-in wanted to do is to hop onto the horse and run wilding against the wind to set herself free like how she was before. That urge within her make her heart beat faster, and that made her realised the fact that she is currently alive.

Closing her eyes and breathing in the natural smell of the grass with a mixture of coldness in the air, she smiled. As Xuan Di has been observing every little movement and details of Jae-in, of course he won't miss that small genuine smile that he had not seen since they moved into the palace.

After being on the carriage for 2 hours due to the slow pace that the carriage man was taking to ensure a smooth ride, the scenery of the nature transit to the sight of the busy market which filled the streets with people.

Business owners shouting for attention for their cheap deals of products, food carts that display the different type of foods with aroma scent lingering in the air to entice people try.

Ah.. Finally they reach the Capital of Xuan, where businesses blossomed with trading from different countries. People living the life of their own, young kids running along the streets with laughter as they play with one another. Seeing how lively the Capital of Xuan is, Jae-in smiled again as she thought the lives of the people in Xuan must have been improving under the legislation of Xuan Di.

"Master, we have arrived to Long Feng Ke Zhan. Please allow me to assist you to alight." Eunuch Gao speak out from the outside.

To avoid people's attention, everyone is to address Xuan Di as Master Xuan, Jae-in as Jae Fu Ren, Beauty Belle Su as Su Qie.

"We have finally arrived! Oh my, I can't wait to get onto the streets with Master." Beauty Belle Su excited exclaim as she grab hold of Xuan Di's arms to assist him to alight the carriage, then again sticking herself onto him, ignoring Eunuch Gao who standby for Xuan Di.

In a matter of fact, it is not allowed for a Beauty Belle who is ranked lower than the Empress to walk side by side with the Emperor. The challenging actions that Beauty Belle Su is doing will definitely get herself in trouble, but Jae-in just ignored it.

Witnessing the attempt of challenge, Jae-in just scoff lightly and made her way out of the carriage with ease since she was the last one. Following behind them and the room plate number handed to Yu-ji, guided by the workers of the exquisitely decorated interior of the Ke Zhan, Jae-in found herself to be in a very very luxurious room with open space interior, a private outdoor garden and a hot spring.

'Maybe I shall dip myself in this during the night fall.' Jae-in thought and is very please with the room assigned.

Not only it is further away from Xuan Di and Beauty Belle Su, as she specifically requested to be in the room beside his, she also have this once in a lifetime opportunity to enjoy this privatised experience.

"Missy Jae, I have moved all our things into this room." Yu-ji whisper into Jae-in's ears.

"Great, since we will be in the Capital for 7 days, it does not harm to visit the famous places with him. After all, we can commence our plan 3 days before them returning back to the palace."

A sudden knock on the door disrupt the conversation and Yu-ji went ahead to open the door.

"Yu-ji, is Jae Fu Ren ready to depart?"

"Yes Gao Housekeeper, but depart to where?" Yu-ji ask.

"Of course it is to accompany master to places that he wants to go."

"Sure, let's head out now." Jae-in tidied up her clothes and went out of the room to the meeting point guided by Eunuch Gao.

"Your Highness, you are here! We have been waiting for quite awhile." Beauty Belle Su purposely said it out loud as though she want to emphasis on Jae-in's lateness.

"Su Qie, be reminded of your address towards me. And Master Xuan, I am sorry for my tardiness as I got lost in time while admiring the beauty of the exquisite room that I was assigned."
