Jae-In POV:

Muffled crying sound irritates my ears as all I wanted is to have some silence to let me die peacefully. Feeling annoyed, my brows start to frown and my lips pursed together to show my displease.

"Empress Jae-in, please wake up! Oh no, what am I suppose to do? Empress Jae-in!! You can't leave Yu-ji alone here in Xuan City."

Reluctant to wake up, I continue to close my eyes, as I am too tired to face the truth. But before I continue to slip into my dreamland, I think I heard Yu-ji's voice... YU-JI?

I snap open my eyes and the sight of my familiar ceiling at the top of my bed is the first thing I see. Wait, am I not dead yet? Didn't I stab myself in the prison in front of Xuan Di? What's going on?

"Empress Jae-in!!! Oh thank god, thank you all deities up in the heaven that brings my Missy back to life." I look towards my left and saw Yu-ji kneeling on the floor facing the window and pray.

"Yu.. Ji" I called out weakly.

"Yes Empress Jae-in, are you feeling alright? Do you need water? Are you hungry? What do you want to eat? Do you want me to let you bathe first?"

Staring at Yu-ji shooting her questions all at once with concern just like the usual days that I have been missing ever since she passed away 2 years ago. But, why does she look like how she was at the age of 18?

No, IT CAN'T BE. I sat up straight and turn towards Yu-ji, grabbing her shoulder and carefully asked her this question.

"Yu-ji, how old are you now?"

"18? What's wrong Empress Jae-in?"

"May I ask what year is it now?"

"Xuan Yuan 20"

I can't believe it... Using my hands to cover my mouth while Yu-ji stared at me with concern eyes as thought I am acting weirdly.

"Uh, Empress Jae-in actually, during the period when you are unconscious, his Majesty did drop by once to see how are you doing. Also, he did summon the imperial physician to see your condition. Although he didn't stay over, but all these actions he did shows that he love and care for you."

Not paying attention to what Yu-ji is saying, I am still not over the fact that I reborn again. Yes, that's right this is not the first time I reborn. In fact, this is the 2nd time I was given a chance. Wait, if this year is Xuan Yuan 20, isn't this the year where I was punished by Xuan Di because I was behaving unruly and not virtuous enough to accept him crowning other women as his Beauty Belle?

I remember I was punished to kneel outside the pavilion in the middle of the cold winter night that caused me to fell ill and that's where I had a severe cold that cause me to be unconscious for 2 weeks.

"Empress Jae-in?" Yu-ji shuffled uncomfortably as she is afraid that her Missy will be upset by the fact that his Majesty did not stay over to take care of her.

"Yu-ji ah."

"Yes Empress Jae-in."

"From now on, please do not address me as Empress Jae-in. Just call me like how you did in the past when you are serving me as Missy in Huo House."

"Yes Missy Jae. But, are you feeling okay? It has been 8 days since you fainted, I was so worried that I went to kneel and beg his Majesty to come and visit you."

Ah.. again. Xuan Di. Just how stupid I was before to think that I would be given a chance to get his love. During this 2 weeks of unconscious period, he only came once and he came because Yu-ji begged him to, not because he want to. At that time, I should have woke up from this endless and unachievable dream of getting his love.

Shaking my head and laugh bitterly at myself, using my right hand to rest on my heart while I close my eyes, yes that's right from now on, I will stop loving you.
