Alice placed blue eye contact lenses in Brea's eyes.
"These may irritate your eyes at first," Alice said.
"The main thing is not to move too fast," Carlisle smiled.
"Try taking a seat, but make sure to cross your legs," Esme replied.
Brea stood up to take a seat on the other side of the room, but she quickly moved to fast...slamming the chair into the wall.
"Uh maybe just a tad slower," Esme smiled.
"And remember to blink at least three times a minute," Alice said.
Brea started to blink repeatedly....looking like a cartoon character.
"Great!" Alice cheered.
"Hold your breath, it'll help with the thirst," Carlisle smiled.
"Don't forget to move your shoulders, so it looks like your breathing," Edward replied.
Brea started to move her shoulders up and down.
"Don't sit so straight, humans don't do that," Rosalie smiled.
Brea slouches, then stands up as it all comes rushing to her.
"Okay. I think I have it, move around, blink and slouch," Brea sighed.
Suddenly the familiar sound of a car pulling up filled Brea's ears..
"You'll do great," Esme smiled.
Brea nodded...walking towards Edward, grabbing his hand.
They both walked to the couch and took a seat...waiting for Charlie.
************
The scent of her father filled her nose....for a moment her mouth watered then it went away. In fact she felt relaxed. Brea looked up and saw Charlie...sadness filled his eyes.
"Brea?" Charlie asked, taking a step forward.
"Dad!" Brea smiled, standing up walking towards him.
"Are you okay?" Charlie asked.
"Never better," Brea said.
"You don't turn into an animal too, do you?" Charlie asked.
"Definitely not," Brea said, lying...not wanting to tell her father that she also could turn into a wolf.

"She wished she was that cool," Jacob smirked.
Edward placed a hand on Jacob's shoulder....
"Let's give them some privacy," Edward whispered.
And with that Edward and Jacob left...waiting in the next room.
Brea guided Charlie over to the couch, and they both took a seat.
"Jake said this was necessary. What does that mean?" Charlie asked.
"I really think it would be better if we didn't talk about it," Brea sighed.
"What happened to you?" Charlie asked.
"I can't tell you," Brea mumbled.
"I deserve an explanation," Charlie said.
"I know you do, but if you really need one....just know I can't stay here," Brea sighed.
"No! No more going away!" Charlie snapped.
"Dad, you're just gonna have to trust me that for whatever reason, I'm alright. I'm more than alright. Can you live with that?" Brea asked.
"Can I live with that? Well, I don't know, Brea...I just watched a kid I've known his entire life turn into a very large dog...and Bella acted like it was nothing, and you look like you but don't," Charlie frowned.
"Can you believe that I'll tell you anything that you need to know?" Brea questioned.
"And I don't need to know this?" Charlie asked.
"No. Not really," Brea said.
"Well, I'm not gonna lose you again. I just can't," Charlie sighed.
"You won't. I promise," Brea smiled.
They both stood up.....Charlie pulled Brea in for a hug, he froze....feeling her cold body, suddenly her body started to adjust to Charlie's heat, matching him.
"I've missed you, Brea! So much," Charlie whispered.
"I missed you too daddy," Brea replied.
All of a sudden Edward and Bella walked into the room...one holding River and the other holding Meadow. Charlie and Brea turn to look in their direction.

"Charlie, this is Meadow and River," Edward smiled.
"Your niece and nephew, right?" Charlie asked.
"Our daughter and son," Edward said.
"Right! The adoption," Charlie replied.
Charlie looks at both babies.....and smiled.
"Meadow? She's got your eyes, Brea. And River looks a lot like Edward," Charlie said.
"We get that a lot," Edward laughed.
After visiting with Charlie for a few more moments....he finally left.
Which caused Brea to miss him...more then she should.

The Tears of Kas̆dael
It was just supposed to be a game. A really, really great game, yes - but a game. Instead, Jasper got his heart ripped out by a brooding goddess and awoke to find himself in another world. No weapons, no skills. Naked. Trapped in a world full of ancient horrors, where gods and monsters still roam the earth, Jasper is forced to adapt quickly or die - and he's not ready to die. Good thing he's a mage. This is a high-fantasy novel with light LitRPG elements. It's not super-crunchy, but the system is an important part of the story. There is some light cursing and gore, but this is not a Grimdark novel. There will also be no harem. The current schedule is chapters on M-W-F of around 2000-2500 words, as well as occasional bonus chapters that provide background or insights into side characters. This is my first real attempt at writing a full novel, but the story is based on a world that I've been creating and re-creating since I was a child. I have an extensive "history" and religion, and even a semi-cohesive language system worked out, which will hopefully slowly shine through as the story progresses. I want to avoid having too many info-dumps, so I may from time to time post a bonus lore chapter that will explain some of the background for any who are interested.

Episode 2: SPAWN
A vampire was destroyed in the city of Two Rivers. Her second death points detectives Alton and Cook of the Unjust Existence Extermination Investigation Force in the direction of an agent of a foreign power, and suggests the existence of a greater vampiric plot that undermines the reputation of the city for fair treatment of living-impaired citizens. Set in the world of Manifest Destiny - a shared hombrew D&D 3.5/Pathfinder 1 campaign setting that has been in use since 2007, this is a fantasy police procedural similar in style to Law & Order. Retired player characters make cameo appearances. This work originally won NaNoWriMo in 2015, and will update every Saturday until complete.
