《The Golden Swan // Edward Cullen》Chapter seventy-one

Brea goes to take a drink of blood but suddenly her spine moves towards the right....snapping in half, she falls to the ground. Screaming in pain.
Within a blink of an eye Edward was by her side, he picked her up and raced towards Carlisle office...where all the supplies to help deliver the baby were.
Brea jerked her head side to side.
Rosalie and Alice quickly appear with Bella and Jacob not far off of their tail.
"Rosalie, pass the morphine," Edward said.
Rosalie does as she's told.....whereas Alice quickly calls Carlisle.
"Carlisle said the placenta must have detached," Alice replied, pulling the phone away from her ear.
Edward gently gives Brea morphine.
"He's coming as fast as he can," Alice said.
"We'll have to do it," Rosalie sighed.
Rosalie goes to cut Brea's stomach....but Edward roughly stops her.
"No! Let the morphine spread," Edward ordered.
"There's no time. He's dying," Rosalie snapped.
"GET HIM OUT, NOW!" Brea screamed.
Rosalie cuts Brea's stomach.
"Look at me, Brea," Bella said.
Brea throws her head up and screams.
As Rosalie cuts Brea's stomach the sight of blood instantly distracts her.
"Rosalie, DON'T," Jacob growled, jumping over the table.
"Alice, get her out of here! NOW!" Edward ordered.
"NO! ROSALIE," Brea cried.
Brea jerks her head towards Bella....still screaming in pain.
"Save her! You have to change her! Please," Bella begged.
"I can't! Not whilst he's still in there. I need to get him out first," Edward said, looking from Bella to Brea.
"Stay focused. Keep your heart beating," Jacob begged.
"JAKE, HE'S SUFFOCATING!" Brea screamed.
Edward rips the embryonic sac with his teeth and pulls out the baby.
"It's a girl! Meadow Rose Cullen," Edward smiled.

"She's beautiful," Brea whispered.
Edward goes to give Brea the baby....but all of a sudden Brea starts screaming in pain again.
"W-What's wrong with her?" Bella asked.
"I'm not sure," Edward sighed.
Edward hands the baby off to Bella and goes to examine Brea....
"There's another baby," Edward said.
"How is that possible?" Jacob asked.
Edward quickly pulls out the other baby.
"It's a boy! River Jasper Cullen," Edward smiled.
"How is that possible?" Jacob asked again.
"I'm not sure! we only saw one baby," Edward sighed.
"Did you both forget that Brea is a twin?" Bella asked.
Suddenly Brea stops breathing... panic filled Edward.
"Jake, take River," Edward ordered.
"Keep that away from me!" Jacob growled.
All of sudden Rosalie appeared next to Edward.
"Edward, I'll take him. I promise I'm okay, let me," Rosalie said.
Edward handed off River..... watching Bella and Rosalie walking away with his children. He snapped his head towards the table that laid beside the bed and grabbed a syringe and stabbed Brea in the chest.
"What is that?" Jacob asked.
"My venom," Edward replied.
They both waited a few moments....
Nothing happened.
"It supposed to be working! COME ON! COME ON!" Edward yelled, giving her CPR.
Brea was still dead.
"I won't kill you! That would be to easy! You deserve to live with this! You deserve to live with the fact that you killed Bella's sister.....your wife....the mother of your children," Jacob snapped.
"ENOUGH!" Edward growled.
Jacob shook his head in disgust and walked out of the room..... leaving Edward who was still trying to bring back his darling wife.

Small Chests Are Fine Too
It is an undeniable fact that good things come in small packages. More often than not, it is necessary to trim the fat in order to bring what really matters to the forefront. Having extra bulk may seem like a good idea, but in reality it is merely a crutch that will one day become a hindrance, as it is no substitute for personality nor ability. Indeed, often times it is the small things in life that brighten up our daily lives and constantly remind us exactly why we do the things we do. However, it is important to keep an open mind, for while bigger is not always better, there are also times when it is. This holds especially true when it comes to hopes and dreams, which have been known to require a suitably large container from time to time. And while dreaming big could potentially lead to massive dissapointment, one will never truly reach fulfilment if they think too small. A truth that one small woman with meager aspirations is about to find out. DISCLAIMER: This is a spin-off/side story of my main series, Everybody Loves Large Chests, which is also mandatory reading to understand this one. It runs parallel to the main plot, branching off from the chapter titled Upheaval 2, so there will be spoilers for anyone who hasn't reached that point.

To the other, is a federation of alien races known as the Senate. Mankind rejoiced the knowledge that they were not the only life in a cold dark galaxy.
