Brea and Bella walked into their house, both out of breath.
"Brea? Bella? What's wrong?" Charlie asked.
Brea looked at Bella and nodded.
"They're not giant bears....I-We saw them! Up in a meadow," Bella said.
"DAMN IT GIRLS! I told you not to go into the woods!" Charlie snapped.
"What did you girls see?" Harry asked, staring at Brea.
"Wolves! They're wolves, Dad," Brea sighed.
"Five of them! The size of-of cars! I swear! They went after...something, not sure what because we both ran," Bella said.
"Harry, can you get some men from the Rez?" Charlie asked.
"I-uh sure! Yeah," Harry said.
Charlie walked over to the phone.
"Jerry? Put a hunting party together...tranq guns, large caliber shotguns...there's something dangerous out there," Charlie sighed.
Brea's eyes dart around the house....her mind wondering about Victoria.
"I've got to go to the station," Charlie said.
"Good! That's good," Bella said.
"Are you both okay here? You want to come with me?" Charlie asked.
"Actually, I-We need to go see a friend," Brea replied.
Brea and Bella hurried to the truck, and drove away....to see their friend.
Brea pulled up to Jacob's house, and climbed out...rushing towards the front door.
"Hi, Billy! We know Jacob's sick but we really need to to talk to him," Brea greeted.
"He's out with friends!" Billy smiled.
"Oh?" Brea said, looking over at Bella.
"I'll let him know you both came by," Billy replied, trying to close the door on them.
"Wait! He's got mono, right? That's what you told our dad," Brea frowned.
"You both need to go home," Billy sighed, closing the door on both girls.
Brea walked away...heading towards the truck, mumbling under her breath.

Both girls climb into the truck and stare out the window....seeing Billy looking back at them.
Suddenly, someone knocked on the driver's window...both girls spin to find Jacob, staring them down...with a look that could kill.
Bella rolled down the window.
"Y-You cut your hair?" Brea asked.
"You both need to go away! Now!" Jacob ordered.
Brea turned around in her seat and looked behind them...she saw Sam and his pack walking towards them.
"What happened to you?" Bella asked.
Sam and his pack, slowly walk past Brea and Bella....heading towards Jacob's house, Sam stared at Brea.
"I can help you," Bella whispered.
"Sam got to you! What did he do?" Brea asked.
"Sam's trying to help me! Don't blame him, soon he'll help Brea," Jacob said, staring at Brea.
"Then who?" Brea asked.
"How about those filthy, reeking bloodsuckers you love? The Cullen's," Jacob snapped.
"I.... don't know what you're talking about," Brea said, looking away.
"You know exactly what I'm talking about, Brea," Jacob replied.
"The Cullen's are long gone! How are they to blame?" Brea asked.
"They started all this by existing! DAMN LEECHES!" Jacob growled.
"JACOB!" Sam called out.
"I-I can't be friends with you both anymore...not until Brea lets Sam help her," Jacob sighed.
"Jake, I know I hurt you. I should have been more up front but...I needed you, I still do! Because you are my best friend!" Brea said.
"STOP! Don't. It's not you..." Jacob replied, but was quickly cut off.
"It's not you, it's me? GOD!" Brea snapped.
"It's true! I'm not good enough for you both," Jacob said.
"Jake.....You're wrong!" Bella spoke up.
"It doesn't matter! THIS IS OVER!" Jacob snapped.
"I-I can't take losing my best friend, too" Brea sighed.
"You already have!" Jacob said.
"Please...don't say that, you promised," Bella replied, seeing how upset Brea was.
"GO HOME! AND DON'T COME BACK!" Jacob snapped, quickly running to Sam.

Avine: The Journey
Avine, the name recorded in the oldest records of faith concerning the creation of the world. The lands of Avine are in turmoil. A lengthy war recently ended. Casualties were terrible, but not limited to the dead alone. Breakdowns occurred in society, and kingdoms struggled with civil unrest and a never-ending stream of refugees. Mariel Bluegale has lived a relatively uneventful life. Largely sheltered from prejudice by her parents Serin and Arwaro, she grew up in a kingdom that prospered thanks to its strictly neutral policy. But the winds of war are once more on the horizon. Peace is merely the prelude to a new, even bigger conflict, one which may be decided on the identity of one. Release schedule: One chapter a week for the forseeable future. Reality caught up with me, this means I have to scale back my writing time considerably. I promise to finish it, but it will be in pieces, and likely around holidays. As always, any -painful- errors (spelling, flow, consistency or time) please let me know.
