6 months later*
Brea sighed...still feeling broken and completely exhausted, but the pain was slowly going away...She walked out of her house and walked towards her bike.
"How you doin, there, Bella?" Her neighbor asked.
"I-I'm doing better, thank you," Brea smiled.
"Brea? I think it's time for you to go to Jacksonville...to live with your mother," Charlie sighed, walking towards her.
"Dad, I'm fine...I-I'm-I'll get better...PLEASE don't send me away," Brea said.
"You've been acting like someone left....or worse died," Charlie replied.
"I'm not leaving Forks!" Brea snapped, quickly getting angry.
"Brea, that BASTARD isn't coming back and if he does then I'll make his life a living hell... for putting you through so much," Charlie sighed.
Brea nodded, knowing he was right but a part of her didn't want to believe it....
"It's not normal, this behavior. And frankly, it's scaring the hell out of me, Bella and your mother. Go to Jacksonville, Baby. Make some new friends!" Charlie said.
"I don't wanna make new friends! I'll hang out with Bella's friends if that doesn't work then I'll make some friends," Brea replied.
"Are you really gonna hang out with them? Are you really willing to make friends?" Charlie asked.
"Yes! And in fact Bella asked me to join her and Jessica at the movies and shopping tomorrow!," Brea smiled.
"But you hate shopping!" Charlie laughed.
"T-That's very true! But I could use some new clothes," Brea sighed.
"Alright! Shopping!" Charlie smiled.
Brea hopped on her bike and drove to school... She pulled into a parking spot, Bella stood outside of her truck waiting for her.
"Is it okay...if I go shopping with you and Jessica?" Brea asked... walking towards Bella.

Bella smiled.
Both girls walked into the building and hurried to their classes.

The next day...Jessica dragged Brea and Bella everywhere, Brea picked out a couple of baggy sweaters and some jeans... and some new books, while Bella picked out some new shoes.
"T-Thank you for letting me tag along," Brea said.
"Oh yeah! No problem...." Jessica replied.
"Do you guys wanna see a zombie movie?" Bella smirked.
Brea shrugged...not really caring.
Brea, Bella and Jessica exit the theater.
"That was horrible! Why do they keep making zombie movies like that!" Brea said.
"It's...like a metaphor? For crass consumerism of something," Jessica replied.
Brea and Bella glance at Jessica.
"Not that you both know anything about consuming, you guys hardly bought anything today," Jessica groaned.
"Whoa! I bought sweaters, jeans and some new shoes! And let's not forget the books " Brea said.
"Yeah! But Bella bought shoes, but I guess I'm glad you....Brea wanted to hang out," Jessica sighed.
"I've just been kind of out of it, I guess," Brea said.
"Kind of? I mean, at first I was worried. Then I'm like, okay....she's still bumming? It's not like everyone else was going through something, I mean Mike told me... he wanted to just be friends. That was really hard for me." Jessica groaned.
Brea looked over at Bella....who was rolling her eyes, shaking her head with disappointment.
"Ignore her," Bella whispered.
"HEY! How about a ride, girls?" A voice called out.
All three girls turned and looked across the street....all three scrunched up their faces with disgust and hurried away.
In the moment Brea had gotten a flashback from when Edward came and saved her from the creeps....but she had made him a promise she wouldn't do anything stupid. Even if she was willing to screw up everything just to see him one last time.
A part of her kept telling her to move on.... make friends and to forget about the Cullen's, but the other part was telling her... that wasn't the last time she'd see them, something was coming and she needed to be ready.
They all needed to be ready.
