Jimin patted my back, comforting me while I cried on his shoulder.
"Shhh. Don't worry. I'll take you to my house okay? You can stay there. Relax." Jimin said and I smiled weakly nodding.
-
I snuggled upto him placing my head on his chest and listened to his calming heart beat. "Good night Jimin." I mumbled feeling safe and drifted off to the sleep.
"Good night Princess." He replied stroking my hair soothingly.
I smiled at the name he called me.
-
I opened my eyes and looked at the digital clock on the nightstand reading 3:15 AM and suddenly a tingling sensation is felt on my belly. I peeked down to see a rotting hand of a corpse snaking around my belly.
I scream and sighed getting up after realizing it was another nightmare.
Jimin also got up hearing my scream, "w-what happened? Are you okay?" He asked pulling me towards him.
"Yeah. Just another nightmare Jimin." I looked down embarrassed. I felt my head aching badly and rubbed my temples to calm a bit.
"It's okay. I'm beside you, nothing bad is going to happen." He said assuringly. I gulped and nodded not looking at him.
Are these my hallucinations?
We both then lie and try to sleep again.
Minutes passed which felt like hours and I looked up to see Jimin sleeping peacefully.
The nightmare was very creepy. I cringed remembering the rotten hand.
Taking my mind off it, I turn to my left backfacing Jimin and tried to sleep.
I glanced at the digital clock which showed 3:14 AM and the closet door creeks open.

8 642Moonblood
Five moons rise over Evanir, each in her own cycle, and each moon is also a god, one of five sisters. Many gods create spirit attendants and companions, brought forth fully-formed. Long ago, the moons worked together to create a lineage that are, instead, humans transformed by the mingling of blood. They intended them to be long-lived and to draw their strength directly from the light of the moon who chose each individual. The five sisters had different goals in mind – one wanted it to be a blessing for scholars and artists, to give them more time and fewer physical distractions; another wanted them to have an animal form, different for each, to keep them more in tune with nature so they could serve as guardians of the wilderness. There are drawbacks to their children having human lives and personalities before being chosen: not all share the goals of their divine mothers, and some choose to put their gifts to darker uses. Those carrying the blood of one woman, fleeing the corruption in search of a quiet life, take a different path. -=-=-=-=- Moonblood isn't so much a novel as a series of adventures of varying length. They involve a core group of people, which does grow over time. They take place in a fairly low-magic world, but despite that, our core cast are directly connected to the moons and have various abilities, including limited shapeshifting to a single individual animal form. As with all my work, unless gender, orientation, or other aspects of sexuality are explicitly stated, I suggest not making assumptions. Probably most significant, I think, is a major trans character who appears about 80K words in - no spoilers, just a note for those who care about that one way or the other.

Get hit by a truck, die, get reborn, the same old. But what happens when you're reborn as a tree? T.R.E.E.S.E.K.A.I. follows the story of a dryad in a frontier town, watching civilizations get born, thrive, and die on her roots, under her branches. This is more of an ongoing scratchpad of writing experimentation rather than a cohesive narrative so I might do weird things with it from time to time.
