《A Go Go Squid story》"Is it ok if we go to the hospital?"

Tong Nian and Han Shangyan had been married for three months now. Three months of pure happiness. She was not officially living in his place but she was spending most of her time with him. To his very own pleasure. Shangyan was still trying hard to be this cold boss to his K and K team, but he was not fooling anyone anymore. The guys could see how he was waking up in the very early morning to bring her breakfast in bed. They could see how, during their long training days, he was listening to her songs in his headphones while trying to keep a straight face. They could also see his smile whenever she was coming back home early after her university classes. To be honest, Gun himself didn't want to pretend anymore. He was in love with the most beautiful creature he had ever seen. She was his, he was hers. He was so proud of calling her his wife.

How did this heartless, always angry man manage to find such a patient and smart girl was a mystery for all of his friends. He knew he was not enough for her, her parents knew she was better than him, but she still fought to be with him. She still chose him when she could have had anyone else. And even if they were married, even if he was absolutely convinced his little squid would never look at any other men - actually she was very clueless when it came to the reactions she could provoke in men - his biggest fear was to lose her. She had saved his cold heart, how many times did he tell her that she taught him how to love. The feeling of her fingers on his face whenever they were kissing was enough for him to be happy for the next 10 hours. When she first kissed him, it took him by surprised, but he spent the rest of the night thinking about it. She was always so soft when her lips touched his. At the beginning of their relationship, he knew she was never sure of his reactions, so she was always hesitant yet demanding. After their very first real passionate kiss, he knew he would spend to rest of his days with her.

Their very first night of love was like a dream for both of them. Tong Nian opened the door of her sacred heaven for him. She was shy, he was scared to hurt her, but both were trusting, loving and caring. Her touches made him shiver. And he couldn't help but think, the moment he saw her amazingly beautiful body in front of him, that it now belonged to him. That no one else in the world would see it. That his hands, his lips, his own body were now glued to her hands, her lips, her own body. When he gave her that K and K uniform, everyone quickly understood that it was his way to tell the world this girl is mine.

Even if he was considered a god by his fans, even if his kids were calling him boss, and even if he made history in the past, Han Shangyan was self confident. Having Tong Nian - this genius/singer/web celebrity - by his side, so pure, so in love, was his remedy. If he could, he would spend his entire days with her, but unfortunately, their schedules were both very busy. He was preparing the world championship and she was studying *a lot* for her doctor's degree. But the little times they had together was enough to make them happy. What made him unhappy though, was when he had to travel in China without her.

She was usually making everything she could to follow him and the team to their competitions or training camps. She had never missed one. Gun knew that she loved being with all of them and they all enjoyed her presence. She was not only his wife, she was their sister in law and their friend. Han Shangyan never told anyone how moved he was by the relationship between the love of his life and the guys he considered his kids and little brothers. But for the first time ever, she couldn't be there for their last competition. She had an important Q&A at her University, where she had to talk about all her AI researches. The four days far from her were enough to make him broody and grumpy again. His new found smile had left for his old expression and non of the kids were suicidal enough to ask him any questions.

When the time to go back home had come - after a new victory from Wu Bai - Gun couldn't hide his excitement. He pressed all his team to quickly get ready to leave, packing all his stuff in 10 minutes before entering the bus to the airport. He booked a plane in the middle of the night. There was no way for him to wait any longer to come back home.

It was only a 3 hours trip, but those 3 hours were like an eternity to him. All he was thinking was his little squid. He knew she would jump in his arms, like she always did, even when everyone was around. He would kiss her - that time where they didn't want to kiss publicly was long gone - and then she would ask 150 questions about how it went. He would give her the gift he bought for her. Then, the kids would all try to catch her attention, without noticing how annoyed their boss would be. That's how it was supposed to be. But that's not how it went.

When they arrived, the sun was not up yet and the night was cold. He knew Tong Nian would be sleeping and he couldn't wait to surprise her and warm her up with his large arms. Entering his place, Gun had a weird feeling though. Something was off and he could sense it. It didn't take them long to see their computers room, destroyed. The keyboards and the screens were on the floor, the chairs broken, the lights were flashing... Everything was a mess.

"Tong Nian!", he screamed. He knew she had spent the night there and not in her college dorm, he knew it because he told her to wait for him. "Tong Nian!" he screamed again. He ran to the stairs, hoping she was in their room, calmly sleeping, and hadn't heard anything. Gun was out of breath, panic flooding in his veins. "Tong Nian!" he tried once again, louder, and louder. But she was not in their bed. She was not in his office either. Not in their meeting room. "Tong Nian!" "Tong Nian!". His voice was imploring her to answer, his heart was punching in his chest, so hard he could feel it in his whole body. That's when he heard Demo.

"Boss!", he said.

In a second, Han Shangyan was there, finding the group who was not moving anymore, like paralyzed. They were in the entry of a small room, usually used to store the food, some boxes and the gift they received from sponsors. He couldn't see yet what was the reason, even if he was fearing the worst.

"Move!" he said, pushing them to get some space to enter the room. That's when it happened, his nightmare becoming reality.

His little squid, his bubble of joy, his colorful young wife, always smiling, on the floor, tears all over her face. She had an adhesive tape on her mouth, her hands were tied and her pretty pajamas were torn apart. She had blood flowing from her temple, bruises on her arms and what looked like a large cut on her right foot. All the fear Gun had experienced a few minutes ago instantaneously became a hatred he had never felt before. Hatred against the one who dared touching his wife. His eyes were full of tears, his jaw was tight and trembling. But he quickly realised that now was not the time to think about this. Now was the time to focus on the little one, sitting in the corner of the room, knees bent to her face, as scared as a lost animal. Her whole body was shaking and her eyes imploring him to take her out of this room. He calmly approached her, kneeling in front of her, softly removing the tape on her mouth. He then untied her hands, caressing and kissing her red and bruised wrists. Not saying a word - he didn't trust himself and knew that if he talked, she would immediately feel all the anger in his voice - he gently put her head on his chest, his hands still caressing her hair to bring her the only comfort he knew she needed. The guys around them were shocked to see their sister in law in this situation. Demo was crying, 97 had tried to say something but was shut by their captain. Now was not the time to say anything.

"Little Mi, get the car ready", Gun asked to his friend, his eyes never leaving Nian's face.

Slowly, Shangyan started to move his wife, grabbing her back and the back of her legs to carry her, bridal style, to his car. "Is it ok if we go to the hospital?" he said, unsure if she'd rather stay at home and rest. But she was injured, she knew it, and she needed to be taken care of. She didn't say a word but she nodded, putting her arms around him, letting her head rest in the comfort of his neck. She could be at the hospital, or in his room, the only thing that mattered to her was that he was by her side. And he promised himself he would never leave her alone again.
