"(Y/n)." Cain chuckles, petting your hair.
You were currently drinking his blood. It tasted nice... no, it was delicious, but you were way too shy to tell him that. It's been about a month since your graduation... if you could even call it that. Everyone was dead. You tried to think on the "brighter" side (because no side of the situation was anywhere near bright), but you just couldn't do it. The only possible good thing about the situation was that your mother wouldn't be all alone anymore, but even in heaven, you were sure that people were ignoring her. Perhaps everyone went to hell and left her alone in paradise.
You weren't too religious so you didn't really know.
You move your mouth away from Cain's neck, licking your lips. You had a blush on your face. Having only tasted normal food, tasting blood was still a new and odd experience. It was so delicious, just like candy, that it made you blush at times. It made your heart race. You didn't want Cain to see you like that so you try to hide your face every time you drink from him.
"Hmm you're done?" Cain asks, looking at you. "You are so gentle when you drink blood (y/n). You know you don't have to be so caring." He smiles at you.
Even after all he's done, you still enjoyed the warmth of his smile. It was so beautiful. The way his eyes narrowed just a little, the light blush that formed on his cheeks, and the way he spoke to you when he smiled all played a part in why you liked it.
It's one of the reasons why you're always so gentle with him...
Because if this man gets mad, or even a feels a little bit of lust, he turns into a monster and his smiles looses its brightness.

"Are you alright?" Cain asks, tilting his head to the side.
"I'm fine. Are you alright?" You ask.
Your question confused him greatly. Was there something he should be worrying about? He wasn't sure.
"I suppose I could say I'm a bit sad." Cain murmurs. "You won't have a proper wedding because of me. I wanted our marriage to be more special than—"
"Don't worry about it." You put your hand in his head.
Cain stares at you shocked and then he smiles. Your gaze softens as your eyes process his face. Your cheeks turned red again.
Cain blushes at the sight of yours and then he laughs.
"You look so adorable." He says, placing his hands on your cheeks. "So undeniably cute."
You look away, your face turning an even darker red.
Was this the same man? He wasn't the man that killed everyone in your home town, he wasn't the man that chased you through the house just to drink your blood, he wasn't the man that turned you into what you are now... if he was, he wasn't acting like it. Cain's behavior confused you so much that it hurt, but even so, you loved him. That was the emotion you were feeling right?
"Are you embarrassed?" Cain teases.
You don't say anything for a moment, staring deep into Cain's red eyes. It happened again, the flash of (e/c). Perhaps he was hallucinating, but he was sure that wasn't the case. Maybe it was because he missed your dull (e/c) eyes. He raises a brow at you, wondering why you haven't responded yet.
The silence got him thinking. He's done terrible things to you, but he did it because he loves you. He didn't want you to have anywhere to go if you tried to leave because he didn't want you to go. People were allowed to be selfish, he was allowed to be selfish.

"Cassius."
That name...
He hated that name, but... it came out of your mouth. It sounded so sweet just then. Cassius. You made that word sound so beautiful despite it being the name his horrible mother had given him.
"Cassius..." You whisper.
He closes his eyes.
"Yeah?"
"Everything is going to be okay." You say. "I could never leave you. We'll be together—"
"Forever and always." You both say in sync.
Leaving wasn't an option, not that you really wanted to leave. You wondered if this is what your mother felt like, having to take care of a disastrous child. You were emotionless and Cain seemed to have to many emotions, but you were basically caring for Cain just like your mother would take care of you. Or maybe Cain was your sad and depressed mother and you were still you. It felt like that too.
You two would just have to take care of each other.
"(Y/n)?" Cain says.
"Yes?"
"Are you upset with me?"
No, your weren't. Not really. He killed your friends, he killed your father and brother, who you've never really cared about, he killed Thomas, and the art teacher and the headmaster and his wife and everybody else that you've ever known, but no, you weren't upset. Not at all. You weren't upset, because being upset wouldn't bring anyone back. You wouldn't feel at ease if you yelled at Cain, you wouldn't feel happier, you'd just be... upset and that would be all.
Giving up was much easier than trying to fight back... was that why your mother left you? You'd rather not think about it.
"I'm not upset." You say.
"You're lying." Cain mumbles.
"You're right. I'm mad, but I'm not going to take that out on you."
Cain plays with your hair, trying to think of something else to say. Words wouldn't form. The only thing that wants to exit his mouth was—
"I love you." He blurted.
He blushes. He says it a lot, but to him, that doesn't make it any less special. You meant so much to him. You weren't afraid, you weren't mean, you were you and that was perfect.
You stare blankly, placing your hand under his chin. You tilt his head to the side, looking at the bite marks that we're slowly healing up.
"I love you too." You whisper as you ease closer to his neck.
Your fangs sink into his skin, earning a gasp from him. You take small sips, savoring the taste. Cain's blood was surprisingly sweet, which was nice. It was red and shiny and tasted so good.
It was sweet and metallic and it had one flavor that you couldn't exactly describe. There was no other way to put it. It was its own flavor.
A scarlet taste.

8 118The Story of Volcanus [Dark Litrpg]
When shit hits the fan and The System initiates on earth, everything changes. This is no exception for Solar Volcanus, as he just happens to be exploring the outer parts of the Ancient Waipoua Forest at the time. Not just that, he also happens to be at the exact spot where an instance is formed. Trapped in a cave system full of evil fairies riding towering Ents, can the young man survive? - Inspired by fictions such as Defiance of the Fall and The Legend of Randidly Ghosthound. - Not recommended for sensitive readers. (Includes gore, rape, torture)
8 66The watcher of universe and stuff.
The most devastating thing to an eternal being must be boredom. If nothing can change you, how can you yourself change? Sometimes you have to learn that the hard way. I should point out that there are multiple lead characters and they will all have their own personalities and motivations. While the story will focus more on our MC Trey, you can expect multiple POV switches. If you do not like POV switches, this might not be for you. My first book. If anyone will ever read this, be so kind as to leave a comment. Even, if all you say is an insult. As long as I can improve this work by your comment, it's all fine. One thing’s for sure. I will keep writing as if my reader can handle curse words without curling into a little ball and repeatedly saying: "Leave my safe-space alone, you monster". Therefore, you can expect some profanity.
