《Scarlet Taste (Vampire! Yandere x Emotionless! Reader)》31. A father's blessing

He wanted to marry you?
You stare was as blank as ever. You stare at Cain from your position in the ground, your eyes lightly wide. Crawling towards him, you use his clothes as a grip to pull yourself up. Your newly red eyes never left his.
"Hmm?" Cain tilts his head with curiosity as you stare at him.
Tears still streaming down your face, you bang your fist against his chest, catching him off guard.
"Huh? What's the matter?"
You don't say a word, your body shaking as you keep on punching his chest. He grabs your wrists, looking at you with worry.
"C'mon (y/n) you can tell me. What's wrong?"
You furrow your eye brows, your face scrunching up with pure anger. You scream at him, crying and trying to free your wrists. There were no words spoken, just yelling. You didn't know what to do, you've never been so mad. You've been disgusted with people, disappointed, offended, and each of those times were usually because someone said something about your mother. Never have you even been angry for yourself except last night when Cain had bit you and found joy in hurting you.
Now you were infuriated. There was nothing but a burning anger, despair, and...desperation.
"(Y/n)?"
"What's wrong?" You chuckle. You were broken. "What's wrong?!" Thomas, Ebben, and Cain all look at you with surprise, for they had never heard you raise your voice before. "You did this! You... did... this! This is all your fault... this is all..."
"(Y/n)—"
"Shut up!" You scream. "Don't look at me like you care!" Your eyes burn into his. "You gave me feelings... you made me happy... did you... did you give me feelings just so you could make me feel... pain?"
"No, why would I did that? I love you." He smiles at you. "I.. I love you."
"No, no! Don't you smile at me like that... don't." You liked his smile, it was beautiful. It was bright and lovely. His smile was perfect. You didn't like that he was using it against you. "Stop being so perfect! You turned me into to this! I was perfectly fine being human... I was fine..."
"But (y/n)—"
"I hate it! I... I..." You just wanted to hurt him. Whether it be physically or emotionally. In your unstable state, you could only think of something a child would say to their parents. You just wanted him to be hurt, you just wanted to hurt him a little so he would understand how bad you feel, because you weren't able to verbally explain it. You didn't know how.
"I hate you!"
You didn't know how to control anger. It was like a baby throwing their first tantrum. You screamed, you cried, you fought, but it did nothing and the worse part was that Cain was being patient with you... like a caring mother. He was making you feel guilty even though you had the right to be pissed.
Cain frowns. He didn't look hostile... just sad.
"Watch your mouth (y/n). You don't know what you are saying."
His eyes didn't hold that cold look anymore. They softened and he was concerned. He didn't want you to hate him. He was killing for you. He would do anything for you.
"Now tell me, do you really hate me?" Cain asks sadly.

The question should have been so shocking, but it was. It made your heart ache when he asked. He sound so upset... like he had been rejected and, in a way, he had. You stop struggling, your legs growing a bit weak. You were tired and ashamed. Most children get that way after crying so much.
"I... I don't know."
"Yes you do. I know you do." Cain pulls you close, wrapping his arms around you. "You were always so honest. Why don't you be honest with me?" He whispers into your ear, causing you to shiver.
The sadness that he held in his voice made you feel... bad. You couldn't tell if he was faking or not... or maybe it was just your brain refusing to acknowledge that Cain could be manipulating you.
"I...no, I don't hate you... I can't." You murmur.
"And do you know why you don't?" He asks innocently, kissing your cheek.
"No..."
"Because you know that I'm all you'll ever have. I won't leave you, I won't abandon you. I had to make sure you went do the same... it's okay for me to be selfish right?"
"I..."
"Nod (y/n). Forever and always remember." Cain looks you in the eye, a serious expression on his face. "It's okay for me to be selfish... right?"
You nod.
He releases you from his embrace, wiping your tears.
"Now let's go talk to your father hmm?" He grins.
His smile was so enchanting. It made you feel happy and that happiness clashed with your anger and made you confused. It didn't help that the way Cain spoke to you was calming yet terrifying. His voice was actually stressing you out. All of your feelings were causing a ruckus in your head. It gave you a headache.
You nod again.
Cain grabs your hand and leads you off he stage and towards the survivors. You grab something from off the floor before he took you to far. It wasn't anything dangerous, but you couldn't stop looking at it. You stumble over your own feet several times, causing Cain to pick you up like a baby. He set you down as soon as he made it to the left over peoples happen to be standing right in front of the entrance. Ebben was blocking the door and preventing them from leaving, licking some blood off his fingers.
"It's you..." Liam whispers as he stares at Cain.
No one believed him or Aiden when they talked about the monster. Now the monster was here standing in front of what's left of the town, but this clearly wasn't a time for 'I told you so's.
Thomas puts his hand out for Cain to shake.
"I didn't know John was serious. Who knew that the very thing he was afraid of happens to be an acquaintance of my daughter's. It's very nice to meet you."
Cain grabs Thomas's hand, giving it a firm shake.
"It's nice to meet you as well. I didn't think my beloved's father would be so okay with my... our eating habits."
"No, I'm quite fine with it. I've seen blood before so the amount doesn't really make a difference to me."
"Does anybody else hear what this man is saying?" Liam yells. "What the hell man? Weren't you mad dad's friend?"
"Don't interrupt my conversation." Thomas says, turning to Liam, his smiles completely gone from his face.

You stare at Liam and Thomas, your eyes meeting Aiden's on accident. He looked scared... scared and guilty. His eyes drift down to what was in your hands. He puts his hand over his mouth, tears dripping from his eyes, but he doesn't make a sound. You look down, staring at the red organ in your hand.
It was Joel's heart.
A heart was an important symbol in love. She told you that she had loved you and you just couldn't let her go. You almost wanted to take another bit out of it... almost, but you were better than that. She was important. While staring at Joel's heart, you missed a lot of the conversation.
"Isn't that right (y/n)." Cain laughs.
You don't answer and he turns around to see what is wrong only to see you staring at Joel's heart. Obviously, his reaction was different from Aiden's.
"(Y/n), it's okay to have leftovers, but I would prefer if you got a warm meal not a cold and smelly one." Cain caresses your face with his right hand, removing the heart from your hands with his left. You weren't gripping the heart very tightly and you easily let it slide out from your grip, still looking down at your now empty bloody hands.
You did not say a word... not a peep.
Thomas walks over to you, patting your head. Cain was bothered by it, but he knew that the man was just your father.
"This is all new to you." He said, a soft smile on his face once again. "I mean, this is probably like going through a second puberty right?" He chuckles, ruffling your hair. "But I know that you'll be alright. I didn't know that this was the reason why you didn't want to stay with me. You found love (y/n)... company. You should cherish this forever. It's a shame that you had to lose your (e/c) eyes though, but it'll be worth it."
You don't even look at him. You couldn't.
"What I'm trying to say is," Thomas looks at Cain and then back at you. "You'll have my blessing if you give me one thing."
"And what would that be?" Cain asks.
"I want you two to visit me and if you have children, I want them to visit me too." He says. "I'd enjoy the company."
"Children?" Cain blushes. "I sorta doubt we'll have any of those. I mean...I honestly don't want to share her with anyone else and that includes children... unless..." Cain looks at you. You looked horrified. You've read about birthing, seen horrible pictures. You've seen a video at school of a live birthing and it looked absolutely horrible. You didn't really like children anyway. They were cruel.
Thomas laughs.
"I guess that's a 'no', but still, I would like you two to come visit me or, at least, take me with you."
Cain thinks for a moment, before walking up to Thomas and shaking his hand.
"So is that a deal?" Thomas asks.
"Sir... I said... I don't want to share her with anyone. That includes children... " Cain's grip became painful tight. Fortunately for Thomas, he couldn't feel it. "...and you."
Cain yanks his arm back, ripping Thomas's arm from it's socket.
Thomas was not in pain, he was just disappointed.
"Now that wasn't nice." Thomas growls.
Cain smirks.
"You are a tough little human. You have my respect." Cain says moving towards Thomas again.
Before he could make it to him, you step in front of Thomas, blocking Cain.
"Move (y/n)." He says.
You shake your head.
"I want to go home." You say.
You were back to your emotionless self. You did sniffle here and there, but Cain thought it was cute. Of course, even thought you were being such a cutie, Cain didn't want to take you back to your house. Your place was with him.
"I'm not taking you back to your house—"
"No, not my home...." Your eyes don't leave Cain's and for a second, Cain thought he saw a flash of (e/c) in them. "I want to go back to our home. Please... we can cook together." You beg.
Cain's gaze softens.
You looked so cute, all covered in blood. He leans down and licks some blood of your face.
"Alright (y/n). Let's go home." He turns to Ebben. "Hey Ebben, could you go get her diploma?" Cain says, taking you up in his arms and switching places with his brother at the door. Ebben quickly gets on stage and grabs your diploma from the floor, which was half soaked with blood, but it would dry with time.
Ebben goes back to you and Cain, diploma in hand and he hands it to you.
"You mind waiting here for a minute?" Ebben asks Cain.
"Why?"
"We have to get rid of the witness right?"
"Your are right. I'll wait."
Just like Ebben said, it was just a minute. Even as a vampire, your brain couldn't process the speed he was going in. Ebben comes back with several containers of what looks to be gasoline. There was probably no one at the gas station to watch him leave without paying.
Everyone attending the graduation.
Pouring gasoline all over the building, and up and down the isles, Ebben soak lots of the carpet in gasoline. Liam and Aiden look at you for help, but you couldn't really do much against Cain. Ebben pulls out some matches from his pocket. He problem stole those from the gas station too.
He lights it and then, as of remembering something, he puts it out. He walks over to the remaining of the humans.
"No please don't!" A woman yells.
"I don't... I don't want to die." Aiden mumbles.
An then there was Thomas, who was perfect fine with the whole situation.
"You have my blessing!" He yells, laughing.
Ebben pours gasoline all over them, soaking each of them.
"Maybe this is what I needed." Thomas smirks at you and Cain.
"Light us up."
And just like that,
the whole building was set ablaze.
You started to feel asleep as the three of you left. Once again, Cain and Ebben were running at an inhuman speed. You were zoned out the whole way to your town, but you remembered that the house was very far away. Farther than the big city, farther than the next town, and probably way to far for the police to ever find you. It was so far, in fact, that the smoke from the building was nothing more than a line in the sky and what was splitting you from civilization was a dense forest with no trails.
You doubt you'll ever be able to run away without getting lost.
