Joel was at her wits end. She was going crazy. A few days from now, would be graduation and she wouldn't even be able to graduate with her best friend. She had to do something. She had to, but she didn't know what. Her father wouldn't let her leave the house anymore. Bother of her parents saw what was happening to their daughter. She was eating, she wasn't sleeping well, and she looked paranoid. Every time the family stepped outside, her eyes would dart all around, but they didn't understand why. She was hoping to see you, she was hoping that you would just come back home on your own, but it hasn't happened yet.
She had already finished all of her school work, so her grade weren't declining, but if she was a junior they would have been because everyone under a senior still had to attend school for a couple weeks. She spent all her time watching the news, and thinking about anything that you've said that could point her to your location. There was nothing, you just disappeared, but she wasn't going to give up.
Sometimes, she would beg her parents to let her go to the park. She knew that you liked it out there. They never let her go, but she wouldn't stop trying to go. Then at some point, she called Aiden and Liam on her phone. At first it went straight to voicemail for both boys, but after about thirteen voice messages each, Liam picked up.
"What do you want Joel?" Liam says
"I just... I need someone to talk to." Joel holds the phone closely to her ear, gripping it tightly. "Nothing feels right anymore."
"I'm sorry." Liam says. "My dad... he was a bit crazy, but what he said, all that monster talk was true!"

"What makes you think that I called you about that?!" Joel yells angrily. "What made you think that I wanted to listen to anything about your sick old man!? I'm trying to forget Liam... I'm trying to take my mind off things."
"I— I'm sorry." Liam says.
"I'm glad that you were the one that picked up." Joel mumbles into the phone.
"Huh?"
"Can you.... can you come over?"
"What? Why?"
"I want to forget. My parents won't be home tonight... could we... ya know, like old times."
"Joel...you know that I can't do that. You're... unstable right now."
"Please! I need this... I just... Liam..." Joel begs. " Liam..."
"Fine. I head over at seven okay?"
"Great... thanks."
Liam hung up first. He lived in the city with his grandma, but he could drive. Joel felt a bit guilty. She just need to relieve herself somehow and her irrational brain though that Liam was the best way.
Joel texts Liam, remembering something important.
Joel: don't forget to bring protection
Liam: k
Then there was Cayden, who pretended he didn't care. He didn't like the looks people gave him in public. Pity and distain. Just like his mother, he hated receiving pity and just like his mother, he was hated by everyone. It was funny how people that hated you, now cared about the fact that you were missing. Sure, he was being a bit hypocritical, he was the one who suddenly cared about your feelings after his mom died, but that didn't change the fact that these people were being two faced.
These people bullied you, adults and children alike. They told you that you were a mistake, called the only person you loved a whore in front of your face. They were terrible people, and before, he was like that too, but now he is feeling what you felt. Some people bullied him, his father ignored him, people looked at his father with more pity than they did him. They felt bad because an honorable man had to live with a son that couldn't do anything right. He wasn't good at school, he didn't have a job, he made no effort, and now his little sister is missing and it's somehow his fault? He didn't even do anything, everyone just assumed that because he didn't tell anyone that you were missing that he had something to do with it.

This was all your fault... everything is always your fault.
Thomas sat in his living room. Thomas's house was actually quite luxurious despite how small it was. His kitchen had marble countertops and he had a kitchen island, his dinning room, which connected his living rooms and his kitchen had a big, shiny, dark wood table, and a small chandelier. His living room was almost entirely white. He had a class coffee table, with a white face in it full of white flowers, white sofas, a tall mahogany lamp with a white lamp shade, a mahogany T.V stand and a sixty five inch flatscreen. On the walls were just many pictures of he deceased wife and flowers.
Then you had the upstairs, which followed the same color scheme as his living room. His bed room, on the other hand, was full of color because his wife liked color. She loved the color red. His bedset was comprised of red and white. They had a red carpet and red curtains. The wall had rose wall paper on it, and on the wall, in dark red picture frames, were pictures of roses. She was such a passionate soul.
Thomas, was sipping on some orange juice with vodka in it. In front of him, on the coffee table, was a smoking ashtray. There was a fruity cigar on it. He had a room prepared for you already. He hoped that you would like it.
Thomas takes a sip of his drink, grimacing at the taste. Vodka tasted like shit, but it was alcohol and he really need to relax. He told himself that he wouldn't drink anymore...
"I wonder where you are?" He hums.
There wasn't really anything he could do now. It's not like he can go out of his way to find you, he had to pay bills. Maybe he'd find some leads in his bar. Someone was bound to get drunk and spill some information. If things didn't work out, he would go find you himself, but he was sure it wasn't going to be long.
You were going to come back.

8 232The Book of Rune
If you like moderately well-researched semi-medieval military logistics with some fantasy twists, and also conspiracy, and exploration, and violence, and maybe a dash of road movie, hey, Ruen just might be your thing. Plot-wise, basically there's a guy who got fired by Death, a kid with pyrotechnic tendencies, and a slave general who wouldn't mind retiring but ended up on a mass suicide mission. If you were looking for a less TL;DR version, a guy who got fired by Death meets a kid with pyrotechnic tendencies, and they try to get the guy un-fired while also trying to come to terms with death together (ooohhhh, look, I'm deep). Meanwhile a slave general does something stupid and ends up being sent on a suicide mission, and he tries to wreak havoc and save lives at the same time. The threads come together, I swear. This is a rough draft of a fantasy semi-book that I've had in the back of my head for some time. I've written a variety of short stories set in the world over the past three years, and I finally kicked myself into writing the actual story. Very much a slow work in progress. Occasional violence (okay, well, maybe more than occasional), occasional foul language.
8 193The Failed Assassination of the Thunder God

And he had truly planned on killing him, that is until the God of Thunder and Justice—Lei Gong—expressed a familiarity to Qian Meng that he did not anticipate. So, for the first time in his long life, he let a man live. Little did Qian Meng know that being benevolent also had its consequences. Someone wished the God of Thunder death and would do anything to make it happen, even drag others through the mud. Pulled together by circumstance, yet accused of heinous deeds, can they uncover the truth surrounding the murderous plot of their brethren? Weekly updates on Friday! This is a glacial-burn BL story without graphic romantic scenes. It focuses on the tragic fantasy plot of our two main male leads.
