Men's Dormitory, Mage Academy Campus, Adaraster
By the time Drake managed to climb to the fifth floor, He was out of breath and audibly panting.
"I'm gonna have to get used to that…"
He turned to his right as instructed and walked all the way down the hall
room 48 was the second to last room in the hallway
as indicated by The metal board attached to one side of the door. Drake unlocked the door with the key given and flinched as he opened the door
There were two Beds, Desks and Wardrobes each separated to the sides of the room. One of the beds was already made and there were unknown belongings Toward that side of the room.
"Of course they forget to tell me"
Drake sighed as he threw his Bag onto the Bare bed to the other side of the rather big room and Sprawled out onto the bed
He pulled out the Schedule Booklet to see what was next
"Classes in early morning, Midday and Occasionally at Night… Hoo boy"
"Well, Might as well start unpacking"
Drake got up and fiddled around with his bag, Unpacking his belongings
After unpacking for quite a while, Nature called to him and he had to cut short.
"Shit, Where's the Lavatory?"
He frantically searched around the room to no avail
He swung the Room door open and ran out, Intending search in the hallway.
SMACK
was the sound of Drake colliding with a certain Boy with Bleached hair
Next thing Drake knew he was on the ground sitting
"Watch it"
Said Tohsin, Rubbing his shoulder
"hmm? It's you"
Tohsin got a good look at Drake, He recalled the distinctive black hair and Dark skin of the Young man who helped him out of today's predicament.
Drake stood up

"I'm sorry but this is urgent! Can you tell me where the Lavatory is?"
"There's a Bathroom right in front of the staircase"
"Thank you"
Drake sped past him to relieve himself
while Drake answered the call, Tohsin Entered into the Dorm room
"Of course"
Tohsin muttered to himself as he looked around the room and Hung his head in a defeated manner
Looks like he's going to have a roommate
Drake came back a few moments later. As soon as he entered through the door he was met with Tohsin Sitting on the bed on his side of the room.
"I'm surprised they allowed you to Board with me"
Tohsin met Drake's eyes
"Forgive me, That's no Introduction. I'm Tohsin, No Surname."
Drake immediately Understood why Tohsin would be the Target of scorn, Having no surname to represent oneself was a Massive Taboo in Vaillance
"Nice to meet you Tohsin, I'm Drake. Drake Fyrce"
Drake returned his Introduction
"Drake huh? Your parents must've really liked Dragons"
Tohsin raised his head up, a gesture as if He really were wondering.
"My Master tells me he befriended a Wyrm once"
Tohsin looked at Drake, Quite surprised that his passing comment actually turned out to be Accurate
Drake gave off a dry grin as he rubbed the back of his head
"Anyway, Thanks for Today. I knew things would boil over eventually with those guys, But I didn't expect it to be that Violent"
Tohsin recalled how Drake intervened against his Beat down, and the Fuzzy images in his mind trying to hold on to Consciousness as Drake Helped him to the Infirmary.
"Nay, That was all on Sarah. She's the one that actually put a stop to that"
Drake went over to his side of the room and sat down on the bed, Facing Tohsin

"And Besides, I don't think either of us would have intervened had you simply stood your ground"
"I don't understand what you mean"
Tohsin let out through a forced chuckle
"I know how to identify the body of someone who Trained for as long as you have, There's no Hiding it from me"
Drake gestured to Tohsin with his hands
"Just call me Tohsin, No need to be so stiff here"
"yea, like I was saying, You can't hide something like that from me. You look like you’ve been trained in close combat, yet you still let those guys step all over you?"
Drake was Puzzled as to what end he had in mind
Tohsin let out another Chuckle, However this one seemed genuine
"I see, So on the way to the Infirmary You managed to completely size me up. You're quite perceptive, Drake."
Tohsin finally Smiled as he let his Guard down
Drake's straightforwardness was a Breath of fresh air to him
"That's right, Had I just stood my ground, I never would have gone through that to begin with. Unfortunately I simply Can't, Maybe you'll find out why after the Awakening"
Tohsin spoke softly.
"I understand. Still, to have no Surname… You must've been through quite a lot huh?"
Drake pondered
"Yeah, I'm sure you know. This Kingdom has a long running Tradition of honouring one's Father in Triumph above all else. Having no Surname means you have either Discarded it or didn't have one to begin with. But even Orphans will take up the Name of Their Orphanage as their own. "
Tohsin looked Distraught as he spoke
"As for me, I discarded mine. Honour Thy Family my ass."
The two boys sat in silence for a moment. Feeling an Awkward air creeping up, Drake decided to Break the Ice.
"Anyway, What does this make us?"
"What do you mean?"
Tohsin gave him a Puzzled glance
"Well, We're going to be living together, Possibly for four Years… What does that make us?"
Drake repeated
"Comrades I suppose… Maybe even friends?"
Tohsin wondered
"Friends huh…I've never had any friends before"
Drake Inadvertently spoke his mind
Tohsin couldn't help but Smile
"Neither have I"
The two boys shared a laugh over their Mutual non-existent Social Life
"Right, so afternoon classes are over for today So you'll be Joining us at Nighttime right?"
Tohsin asked Drake
"I think so, I'm completely Unfamiliar with how things work here"
Drake let on
"The class tonight is Magic 101, Don't worry too much about missing content either, If anything they just started with the good stuff"
Tohsin explained
"Then What have you been doing for the past 2 weeks?"
"that was more of an Evaluation period than anything else… our actual classes began three days ago"
Tohsin answered Drake's questions
"So I didn't actually miss much? Alright"
"Once you finish Unpacking we can go to the Mess hall, I'll show you around"
Tohsin suggested
Drake got up and went back to settling in
"Alright just gimme 5 minutes"
While he was working away, He began to reminisce what started his Journey
Drake was Excited to be attending Mage Academy
Becoming a Battle Mage had been a Goal of his ever since the one day he witnessed their incredible power

At The Lions Gate
In the 20th century America reinvented itself. Devastated by depression, scarred by war, rocked by a revolution, Americans banded together to preserve their country and their freedom. They had faith in themselves, faith in one another, and for those who believed…faith in God. This novel tells the story of one American who lived through those turbulent years….years that would test his character and the character of a nation. For Josh Sanders it begins in 1935. A star athlete in school, pro football is a ticket out of poverty during the Great Depression; but when his father, a WWI veteran, is killed during a robbery, Josh’s spirit is broken, and with it his boyhood dream. But many years later, after a stint as a boxer and a failed marriage, Josh finds his calling…at a time when the country is at war with itself. The year is 1968. King and Kennedy have been killed, race riots are breaking out, and Vietnam has become an albatross, causing massive protests across the country. In the streets of San Francisco Josh watches a crowd of students march for peace. As a veteran he’s conflicted, toward the war and those who oppose it. But when he encounters Rosy Goldin, a spirited young protester in need of help, a voice from the past calls him to action. His good intentions are soon tested when Rosy falls in love with the fugitive anti-war activist Erick White, a young man determined to oppose the war at all costs, against the wishes of his own father. Fearful of what happens to Rosy, Josh confronts Erick, unwilling to be part of his plan to escape…until he meets the boy’s father. A high-powered criminal attorney, Karl White is also a flag-waving patriot demanding that his son follow the law.
