《Infinite Gameplay》Monster Hunting

Kite left the establishment. His head was really fuming smoke. His master was an absolute thrash. Severus didn't even tell him what monster he'll hunt and eat. Not a single tip or instructions were given.
He saw Nessa waiting for him and his anger dissipated. His annoyed look turn into a warm smile. Nessa was just too cute. A white-haired female elf was a unique woman he never saw before, even on TV.
"How did it go? Did you pass?", she said nervously. Kite was the last one to leave the area. There might be some complications inside that led him to fail the tests.
Hearing her say that, Kite sighed. Nessa will probably leave him tomorrow. He'll really miss her. Her company with him all this time lift his spirits and at least cheer him up in this gloomy world he was in. Being alone in an unknown world is not the best experience after all.
But after a second he smiled and said, "Don't worry. I pass the test and have to complete the last quest to become an official swordsman".
Hearing that, Nessa breathed a sigh of relief. She knew Kite was short in cash right now so failing this test will lead to his own demise. He'll be completing quests and continue putting his life on the line every time just to get that amount of coins.
"Pay up Sir Kite", Aidila was also waiting for Kite outside. "Congratulations on passing the test. Complete the quest and you'll be an official swordsman in no time".
"I'll pay this for you". Before Kite could take out his money, Nessa paid for him. "Consider this my congratulation gift", she cheekily said. Kite only smiled wryly.
After that Nessa and he left the establishment. They hailed a carriage and went back to the inn. It was already nighttime.

They hopped out of the carriage and proceed to the inn. Kite of course blushed, they were about to do it again.
When they entered their room, Nessa immediately pushed Kite and begun taking off his clothes. She licked his nipples and slowly brought her tongue downwards.
Moaning sounds were heard across their room. They rent the same inn as last time. It was pretty cheap here so no soundproofing was built.
•••
The sun rose up and Kite's third day in this world arrived. He slowly woke up and immediately look at his surroundings.
"She still left after all", Kite sadly murmured. He still had hope that Nessa will stay with him. After all 'No man is an island'.
He took a bath and left the inn. He hailed to a carriage and plan to head to the library once more. He wants to study and learn more about the monster here and pick suitable prey for his quest.
He also wants to learn more about his class. His master didn't even explain what this rare class is all about and it's abilities.
He removed these thoughts and cleared his mind. He must stay clear-headed.
Since Nessa paid him the last day, he still had 1 silver with him. He paid the library fee and entered.
This time he went to the class catalog section. He checks all the related swordsman class and class that has a connection with his class quest.
He sat down in the corner put down a ton of books. He read it one by one until four hours pass.
He scratched his head. There was no single information about Animals Spirit Swordsman Class.
What he read and learned are more about basic swordsman classes and those famous ones.
Magic Swordsman- swordsman that also has an affinity with magic. Their swords and attacks contain magic abilities and damage.
Swordsman Berserker- a swordsman who has unimaginable strength. Usually, they use large broad swords as there weapon. Brute strength is their greatest strength.
There were countless classes those two are the most famous ones. But the most powerful swordsman class was also there. It was considered as a myth since no one saw someone wielding its power. And it's creator was none other than the Sword God, Jax.
Sword Saint- a swordsman whose power contains the very essence of the world. People who wield its power could subdue all swords in the world. Even Godhood is possible just by having this class.
After reading all of the books regarding swordsmen class he didn't found anything so he left the area. He went next to the monster catalog section next.
There were a ton of books here. About a third of the contents of the library's first-floor tackles different kinds of monsters. So reading about all of them is impossible.
So Kite only took out books that contain monsters living in the Millow Forest.
He chooses this location since he is already familiar with it. It is also near the city. So when nighttime comes he could take shelter as fast as possible.
Another two hours pass by when he finished all of the books. He arranged his thoughts and finally sort it out.
Just like countless races, monsters also have their own Grade Level.
Common monsters are equivalent to Grade 0 class.
Uncommon monsters are equivalent to Grade 1 class.
Elite monsters are equivalent to Grade 2 class.
And Unique Elite monsters are equivalent to Grade 3 class, and so on.
They evolve by of course leveling up. Unlike other races that needed to complete quests to reach the next Grade, monsters do not. Moreover, they are stronger than other classes with the same grade level.
Kite also had chosen which monster he'll hunt. If he considered the traits of the monster he'll kill will turn into skills for him to use, the common target will be the stronger ones. Since he's still level 3, considering his stats and damage, he could at least deal with monsters 4 levels higher than him.
And now he planned to hunt a Level 7 monster. It can be considered the boss monster in the border area of the Millow Forest.
Kite stood up from his seat and left the library. He hailed a carriage and directly went to the outer gate.
After hopping out from the carriage he immediately rushes towards the Millow Forest. He laughed and shouted while running, "Monster hunt begins!".

Saga of the Jewels VOLUME ONE COMPLETE
Prefer to listen to rather than read Saga of the Jewels? I'm also releasing it as a free audibook serial podcast on iTunes here! Epic YA JRPG-influenced GameLit progression ensemble-cast steampunk romance fantasy! When Ryn’s hometown is destroyed, will he be able to gather together the twelve Primeval Jewels in order to defeat the evil Emperor and save the world of Mid? A fan novelization of an amazing Final Fantasy game that doesn’t actually exist, that currently releases at least one chapter a month. Epic in that this will be very long. “It’s a marathon, not a sprint!” (-Kandaj) YA in that this should be enjoyable to~13-year-olds and upwards. Some gore, some swearing, some sex, but nothing more than PG-13. JRPG-influenced / GameLit in that it uses lots of JRPG tropes, particularly from Final Fantasy. I’ve read a lot of fan Final Fantasy novelisations and you can basically think of this as a fan novelisation of its own Final Fantasy game that doesn’t actually exist as a game... Progression in that the characters level up over time (though not with visible litrpg stat boxes). They grow in ability through training and experience, gain new skills, individually and as a party (think Chrono Trigger) and spend time discussing and stratgeising about how to defeat their opponents. Main protagonist from book three would definitely be able to defeat himself from book one! Ensemble-cast because we've got quite the roster of misfits here. The first volume is all from the main protagonist's POV, but it starts dancing between his and different POVs thereafter. Steampunk in that we’ve also got airships, steam trains, pistols and ambiguous ‘amber bars’ that function a bit like artificial lights… Romance in that there is lots of shipping here, a few love triangles, and you may be kept guessing as to who will actually end up together... Fantasy in that we’re in a vaguely pre-modern setting. We’ve got swords, magic, dragons, dungeons, monsters, all that good stuff. * "This story captures that Final Fantasy quality perfectly. Kiddy but also grim. The characters are great... Severely underrated and needs more favorites/follows. I look forward to seeing how this story will unfold." -Gilgamesh9999 "Starting at the end and jumping backwards is not a writing style seen every day. I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical at first, but you've executed a fairly crazy idea very skillfully so far. Overall, a strong start to what could be a very strong story." -RandomFF.netUser "You definitely have my interest piqued. It'll be interesting to see where the story goes... It definitely has an 'old school Final Fantasy' type feel to it, which I appreciate...Good job! I am glad you are going into more details about the story you laid out in the prologue...of course the big burning question is 'You know they lose in the the first chapter, so how will they end up winning?' That of course, is the story you're writing...so we'll see how it goes! #Following." -KyleQuicksilver (quotes are from reviews on other sites) * If you enjoy it, don’t forget to boost Saga of the Jewels on topwebfiction.com!
