Shiroki’s POV.

“…What?” That was all Shiroki could have muttered in his shock. In a span of just one night. ONE night. And everything was a havoc. He came again to the manor where Ellen was as promised yesterday in order to set her free and took her with him to the outside world. But she was not there. She was not there at all. The chain that bounded her was broken, and Ellen was nowhere to be found.

No, more importantly, he had to assess the current situation. It was not just Ellen, the manor was lifeless. Spirits that lived in the manor were covered in blood were everywhere, and the whole place was wrecked down, as if hit by a storm.

Then, he felt like something moved.

“Who’s there?!” Shiroki bellowed beckoning the presence to show himself. When he finally make out the hidden shadow, he discovered that it was an injured spirit, barely alive. He rushed towards him in a hurry and asked,

“What happened here? Where’s Ellen?!” Shiroki asked rather impatiently.

“…Great Spirit… suddenly…attack… killed the emperor…lead a hundreds of demons… massacred… the young lady…rarity…treasure…taken away…*cough *cough,” the dying spirit tried his best to explain the situation and coughed badly. Shiroki went menacingly mad when he heard what happened spilling large amount of bloodlust.

‘Who?! Who dared take what is MINE?!’ he thought angrily before he gasped in realization that his blood lust was leaking uncontrollably causing the dying spirit to lose more of what was left of his life. He calmed himself and tried to think more thoroughly. First of all, he needs more information and figure out who that great spirit was. The injured fellow mentioned that the spirit lead an army of hundreds of demons. Then the spirit must be incredibly powerful and influential in the spirit world.

The emperor…yes, it has been some time now so of course Shiroki realized the manor was the dwelling of the current spirit lord. But he never cared for the throne. All he wanted was to be with Ellen, whom he loves. Since the emperor was rumored to fell with sickness, there had been many moves taken by many spirits in taking over the throne. But the guardians protecting the emperor had always been able to defeat them and drove them away. The emperor would never let foolish and unqualified spirits to take over his place.

But now, the rumored unrivaled spirit lord had fallen? Then the great-spirit must also came here for the throne. Shiroki would care less who takes over the throne, but to have taken his beloved Ellen, he would never forgive it.

Shiroki quickly took the injured fellow with him and returned to his home to recover while gathering his direct subordinates, friends and followers for an emergency meeting. A new spirit lord will soon ascend in the spirit world and this would undoubtedly affects all living spirits within it. He needs to make preparations in order to retaliate and take back what is his.
