There was a painful silence between us.

“I thought that you were an angel in disguise back then. You guided me safely home and even gave me a protective charm. I am still holding onto it even now. The charm you gave me was strangely powerful though, haha,” Shiroki said breaking the silence.

“After that, I was severely punished by my father. At the same time, he realized how weak and vulnerable I was that he began to seriously train me both in physical prowess and spiritual power. I was also banned from venturing into the spirit realm until I was strong enough. Several years later, my father began to bring me along with him to the spirit realm and I was able to learn a lot of things and acquainted with other good spirits.

I never imagined that you lived in a huge manor and that you were actually so close to the rift between the two realms when I accidentally spot you. I came every day after that watching you. I was also wondering why you never left your home and stayed silently in your room. I was watching you from afar at first, but I grew impatient and gradually came closer and closer to where you are. Finally, I was able to speak with you and found out why you did not leave the manor via our little game,” Shiroki finally said.

“I see. You have really grown,” I said smiling as I placed my hand on his cheek. Shiroki once again embraced me tight and whispered in my ear.

“Thank you…, but even so…,” I paused for a bit then continue,

“The fact that I am confined here does not change. Hence, I cannot be with you,” I solemnly said. Shiroki brought his face close to mine and began.

“I kept telling you. I WILL free you from your entrapment,” said Shiroki knowingly.

“I have something in mind. Will you wait for me? I will come back tomorrow and definitely take you outside,” said Shiroki.

“Yes. I mean, it is not like I can go anywhere,” I replied. Shiroki smiled and gave me a kiss. We parted and Shiroki swiftly went home. I stared blankly in direction where he left, still feeling hot on the cheeks.

However, everything went dark afterwards. And I never got to meet him the next day.
