Chapter 7 – Finally some RPG Elements!
*Changed Perspective: Abe
Hm, he seems to be peaceful however we can’t rule out the possibility of him being hostile, though looking at his status he doesn’t seem like much of a threat, doesn’t even have a class, “So, David, we will have to bring you back to our base for a bit of questioning, I do hope you will be cooperative” Abe said threateningly to see how David would react. David shivered slightly but still seems to be in a somewhat calm state, Abe noted “Okay, however I don’t particularly know much about really anything.” David replied.
*Changed Perspective: David
Okay this could be either good or horrible, David thought, either they are a reasonable bunch, they will hopefully just ask me some questions and let me leave, possibly with food, or I get taken to another laboratory to get experimented on. David decided to take the risk, he most likely could not overpower the bunch since they won out in numbers, equipment and he was not sure where his longsword was.
The woman Lilith walked slowly towards David, not letting her eyes off the man as he was sat there waiting for them to unlock his shackles, “Now David we will unlock your shackles, however we will need to put on some handcuffs just in case.” Abe said as Lilith unlocked the shackles around his wrists before quickly putting on cuffs around his wrists again. “Well this doesn’t really change much for mem other than that we will be moving” David said whilst sighing, Lilith seeing this puts on an apologetic smile.
David got up and walked out the building they resided in, he walked out of the building to find a forest, he could hear the chirping of birds and the feeling of grass under his feet. David started welling up with tears while Abe and Lilith watched and waited in silence while exchanging glances between each other.
When David calmed down a bit Abe and Lilith quickly got him to leave quickly since it was late in the day and night would be soon. The ground walked for a few hours before finally reaching a camp, a group of 3 was there waiting for them. From left to right one seemed to be a male priest with blonde hair, the second being an archer with long brown hair tied up in a bun and a swordsman wearing leather armour, his When David walked out, they all quickly drew their weapons and got into a formation until they saw Abe and Lilith following behind him.

The group looked at each other before looking back, the female archer asked, “Abe, who is that?” she said in a somewhat threatening tone as she looked at David.
“Hello, my names David, nice to meet you” David said trying to be as cheerful as possible to lighten the mood, which caused a quiet chuckle from the swordsman of the group. Abe saving the situation chimed in, “This is David, he appeared from the cult’s summoning ritual”. However, that caused everyone to be more on edge as the archer and priest looked at him with suspicious eyes, while the swordsman looked at Abe and Lilith with a questioning gaze.
“Okay David could you explain your story once again but in further detail for the whole group.”, David complied and began telling his story, without mentioning his whole life story and instead the day he got transported and after.
Whilst retelling the story he saw that the swordsman looked at David sadly and nodded his head when he killed the demon, the archer seemed to change how she looked at David but was still suspicious often asking questions throughout the story. The priest however seemed furious at what he had been through and seemed to accept him quite quickly.
David finished retelling his story before looking back at the group, a silence went through the whole group, until David decided to ask a question, “If you don’t mind me asking, could I know your names?” He looked at Abe and Lilith who had been standing quietly and seeing how the others reacted to him. “You two are Abe and Lilith, right?” which Abe answered with a nod while Lilith had decided to be the one who would introduce the group to him. “Okay, first my name is Lilith Hathold, second this dumbass beside me is Abe Trin, the archer on the left is Gwen Oswald, healer in the middle is Klein Erwin and lastly the swordsman over there is Abe’s brother, Harrold Trin.
Harrold politely nods to David while David turns to Abe and Lilith wondering about the “dumbass” part of that sentence, but notices Abe didn’t react at all as if it was normal.
David decides to ignore it and change the subject, “Okay now, as I mentioned before, I would like to ask if you could answer some of my questions about, well the world. Abe nods and gestures him to go on, “Okay first things first, where are we?”.
“We are in a forest down south, which most people just call Darkwood, but actually has no official name”. David nods, “Also just wanted to ask really quick but could I get my longsword back?”, Gwen the archer immediately is taken aback and says, “Fuck no, sure you don’t seem like you could do much but still we have no way to verify anything you have said up to this point.” David replies, “Okay that’s fair, though I will probably need protection assuming there are some monsters in this forest or something?” David said while silently hoping this world is like fantasy novels he had read on Earth. Actually, now that I think about it, a lot of shit has happened and I haven’t had many opportunities to actually think through what has happened and what I can do about it.

David lost in thought quickly snaps out of it and notices Abe looking towards Gwen, “Gwen, he doesn’t even have a class what do you think he will do?” Abe said while grabbing the David’s longsword from his behind his back. Oh, that’s where it was, David noted and then just realised what was said, Wait a minute, CLASS?!, David started getting really excited that this could be turning into a Litrpg novel.
“There wouldn’t happen to be a status sheet or something right?” David replied enthusiasm showing on his face, Gwen looked at David with a slightly confused look, then Klein, the priest, who was trying to not interrupt the conversation, spoke up.
“Yes! I assume you have never seen it before since you’re asking.” David nodded and looked at Klein with a beaming smile, okay first, close your eyes, it makes the process a little easier.” David quickly closed his eyes and waited for the next instructions.
Everyone watched on in silence as Klein began explaining what to do, “Okay so first stay still, then try and send your consciousness further into yourself,” David extremely confused with the instructions decided to try anyway. As David tried to focus on his body, he felt like everything outside his body had went quiet, he couldn’t hear Klein anymore, he felt himself reaching into the deepest part of him, into his core, until.

Cultivation Anomaly
Follow the journey of an individual given a classic cheat trope in a cultivation world. What does a man do when he finds himself unsure of who he really is yet is given a cheat? What really happens to a cultivation world when it is overrun by MC level characters? Is the cultivation world just run by cruel young masters, short-sighted elders and uncaring experts? Note: Tags may be removed or added to this story as it progresses. For example, I added the harem tag because I wasn't sure if it would appear so be forewarn. Also, productive feedback is always appreciated even it may be ignored. Note 2: Original idea inspired by "Arrogant Young Master Template A Variation 4". I wanted to do something similar but have a more gritty realistic feel. The system SHOULD differentiate as the story goes on but if it doesn't it means I need a rewrite. Either way, read AYMTV4, it's great. Note 3: If you give criticism to be helpful, please try to be descriptive, specific, and focused on making my story better, not changing the story to how you would write it. Travelers [DROPPED]
DROPPED. The story focuses less on dungeon building than on the why of dungeons and how they fit into the universal order. While I am working from a grand plot, the writing is going slice of life style because I need to do that to work out how things progress into that grand plot. The original story seed idea / synopsis is below. The Grand Tapestry protects Rhofhir from Primal Chaos by imposing Order via patterns. However, the patterns grow stiff, stagnant, and so the Tapestry is nearing a time of Unraveling. Evidence of past civilizations wiped out during previous Unravelings foreshadow the apocalyptic catastrophe looming over the world. The mages of the Arcane Asylum reach out across dimensions, searching for some way to prevent, or at least stall, the coming Unraveling. Among the many voices they find is a gifted graduate student researching machine-assisted telepathy -- and his gaming group. Lena never expected that the chance to play DnD with telepathy would result in her becoming an actual Dungeon Master, nor that her friends could become the bosses of her dungeon. This is, in many ways, her dream come true, but there's a catch: What happened to Brad, the creator of that telepathy machine?
