Chapter 2 – Endurance
David once again began to regain consciousness, only to find his arms, leg and neck strapped to the bench he was laying on, he sighed and was depressed that this was in fact reality and did not seem like he was in a dream, shortly after his vision then led to his lost right leg as he his vision started to get cloudy. A couple minutes after he had tried to regain his composure, he started looking around he saw he was in a room with different objects and tools nearby, oh that cannot be good. Click-Clack, Click-Clack. The sound of footsteps slowly echoing from a hall into the room, when it finally stopped, he saw in the corner of his eye that the being that had saved him was standing there.
It then muttered something incomprehensible and looked at David as if waiting for him to respond. “Pardon?” David responded being, the being looked at him then walked closer. The being which was harder to see was now standing next to David where he was able to see it more clearly and closely. Is that a demon?! David started trembling as he stared at the demon, it had 2 horns protruding from each side of its head, rough looking red skin, each of its claws long and sharp. The longer David looked at it, the longer it felt like he was suffocating. Well, this is horrible, I go to bed after a long day and where do I find myself? In some otherworldly place with my right leg eaten and a demon standing in front of me whilst I’m strapped to some bench surround by numerous tools and vials.
The Demon after standing there for a couple of minutes walks over to one of the tools that were laying on a table, it picks it up and then walks back to me. The tool looked exactly like a syringe with an orange looking fluid inside, whilst I slowly contemplate what the hell is going on the demon injects the orange fluid into my arm.

Immense pain spread throughout his body, as he started screaming uncontrollably, *Ding, a sudden ding noise rang through his head, but he could not focus on it for long as the orange liquid spread throughout my body.
The demon looked at me and then starts walking towards a vial with red liquid on another table, it picks it up and walks back to me. It puts the vial to my mouth and shoves the liquid down my throat, as the second liquid spread through my body, he suddenly felt the pain become slightly more bearable. Then an Indescribable feeling came over where David lost his leg and then a sudden rush of intense pain as he passed out.
He woke up a couple hours later, the pain from the orange liquid had lessened noticeably whilst the pain caused from the red liquid had finished. Bang, David had accidentally hit the bench he was strapped too. Wait how did I hit the bench if I was-, excitement spread through David as he felt a movement in his body. He looked down and found that his right leg had regrew.
David started weeping in happiness as he moved his leg around, until a thought had surfaced in his head. Will the demon come back and continue torturing me? the thought terrified him, he just had the worst experience of his entire life, the worst part being it most likely was not over judging by the numerous new tools and vials he had not seen earlier.
David lied down there, racking his brain to try and come up with a way to get out of this situation. Then it hit him, his right leg was not strapped down, this was the only opportunity he had been given so far. David grinned but then immediately frowned as he realised, he couldn’t do much with his leg even if it wasn’t strapped, however he tried to get his left leg’s strap to loosen as much as possible until the demon returns.

Let's get the worst of it out of the way first: This is a boring story, very tedious, mundane and downright just boring. It's too slow, the characters are too confusing & make possibly retarded choices. It's an isekai/reborn type Slice of Life novel that plays on the villainess noble girl trope but the MC gets no OP cheats, no magical powers, not even some satisfying face slapping or such self-fulfillment fantasy. Wow, I'm doing a terrible job advertising this thing. If you're somehow still interested, if you were ever interested how an average modern person, reborn with all their host's memories, could live out their life in this situation, mending personal relationships one step at a time, or wondered what happened in between all the time skips in other novels, maybe give Unloved Twin a try.
