《Angelic Summons》Adjusted Living
Advertisement
A week later I had mostly adjusted to my new living situation.
Acedia had slipped into a coma like state and was attempting to recover some of the essence that he had lost during the initial fight.
I don't know how long it will take for him to recover, but after helping me contain that rush of energy I am grateful that an avatar of sloth would be so proactive in my development.
Shortly after he had fallen into a deep sleep state, but not before telling me to hold off on attuning my summoning skill till he wakes up. I haven't touched it yet, and quite frankly I feel afraid of it. While being the owner of the skill even now I can tell that Acedia's influence outweighs my own and gives me doubts about the loyalty of anything I could actually summon.
I can only hope that Acedia Will give me more information when he wakes up, as I am the only member of his power base so far.

So yeah, a week had passed. And the world was starting to go to shit.
That tiny dot in the sky? Was now the size of a golf ball. It had moved faster towards us than any of the scientists on the news had predicted and it was not changing its course at all. The mass had also grown in estimated size and would most certainly be the death of us.
People were desperate to find a solution and multiple companies had secret initiatives to launch what would be an exodus from earth to the new mars colonies which had previously been kept a secret, by the government and a few large corporations. The only reason why the rest of the world knew about the small colony on mars was due to a whistleblower who had cracked when he realized that he was not invited to go.

The government responded quickly by discrediting any news related tom the Lauch and reassuring citizens that all their efforts were focused on trying to find some solution.
No one believed them.
The riots started only a few days ago. But the estimated amount of property damage was in the billions. Martial law had been enforced in areas of violence and citizens were forced to try and vent most of their grievances online. Social activity had spiked surrounding topics related to the colonies, the riots, and the New Giants of the world which I remembered thinking about before Acedia had visited me.
The New Giants were a collective group having formed around the same time as I had met Acedia. They had banded together as the foremost experts of their fields and attempted to appease public fear. There were headed by six leaders and expressed that there were sponsored by avatars of virtue.
It was a weird group as their words seemed to reach past their level of authority and they were granted more attention than all the other topics combined.
They tried to establish the idea that the world was not ending but rather becoming a host for a new series of beings. As expected, many people did not believe this, however the majority who had found solace in this had attempted to join the (Religious?) group under the embodiments of virtue. The riots decreased in size shortly after many joined, and the countries of the world were left reeling from the worldwide chaos.
Every continent except North America was represented by a leader of the New Giants.

Walking home from the convivence store I stopped to feed a few of the neighborhood cats. It was night and the streets were dark, so I stopped by one of the light Poles along the road to give them the tuna cans I bought.

As much as I loved these cats, I don't want to bring them anywhere near my house. Which is why I choose to feed them a few blocks away.
I sat there on a bench under the lamp thinking about what my future will hold. I was scared, of what will happen to the world when it hits and What will happen to me in the aftermath of what is to come.
The cats emerged from the shadows to eat, and I sank into myself thinking about the future.
They started to chow down on the tuna while I sat there looking at the sky.
I didn't notice the pair of yellow eyes which continued observing me from the shadows.

Guide to Reincarnation: What NOT To Do
I am Aria Dwestella Monfonte De’Pelier. For both our sakes, let’s keep it to my maiden name, Aria Johann. I created this book so if you ever get reincarnated, you won't make my mistakes. I have lived many lives, but this book focuses on my life in a fantasy world. Some of my tips include how not to deal with dragons, why you shouldn't reveal you have magical talent, and why royals are stupid. I have fun with my friends, become hated by the gods, and become (to-be) empress of the entire world. Oh yeah, and everyone gets tortured. That's what, tip number 47? Keep your loved ones close and your sanity closer.

The Choice of Twilight
Growing up has always been difficult. It's even worse when you have to do it all in one night. On the eve of his thirteenth birthday, Ty awakes to find himself in a dreamworld, one-so he is told-that exists to pit him against his greatest fears and insecurities. And to ready him for a final choice. Luckily, Ty is not without friends. He soon meets Gentry, a wooden puppet his grandfather made for him years ago, walking and talking, ready to help Ty learn what he needs to return home in one piece. But that won't be easy when a cruel and abnormally tall skeleton dressed in mockery of Santa Claus and his suit hates Ty's guts. San wants nothing more than to best Ty and do what none of his kind has ever done before: defeat a child that has made "the choice." But Ty will stop at nothing to fight back against everything San's got in order to face his fears and grow up. Because, if he doesn't, he will end up a kid forever. Or, worse...never wake up again. This story is perfect for you if you are a fan of Coraline and Kingdom Hearts, both of those stories greatly inspired this one. I have recently added the Isekai tag after being unsure if it counts or not. I've decided it fits the description of what it is but not the current trends in the genre. If you go in with Coraline in mind I think you will have a better idea of the kind of Isekai this is. And I've also added the Slice of Life tag, that is only for the first five or six chapters though, then Ty enters the dream world and it pretty quickly becoms a progression fantasy, a mix of more traditional fairy tale like trappings alongside more anime action and acquisition of slowly increasing powers. With all that out of the way, please enjoy! Updates every Tuesday and Thursday! What time of day? It's a mystery! (For now)
