Devon looked up when he felt a pair of eyes on him, he turned and saw desmondesa staring at him "devon" "huh" he turned and looked at garcia "what's wrong?" "nothing" "and so its a threat... There's going to be a... Yes, the soldiers are doing their best... No ... " the man speaking to the crowd is getting blasted with questions "what's he saying?" devon asks jonas "you weren't listening?" jonas asks bemused "don't be an ass" "there's a dungeon three miles from here, in the woods... The council is calling a state of emergency" "for a dungeon?" "yes" jonas says curtly and devon wonders what the problem is "dude, are you okay?" "why wouldn't i be?" "you just seem off" "is that so?" jonas folds his arm and glares at devon "we've all had a rough weekend" garcia says as she tries to defuse the situation "And so we're offering a reward for each monster killed in the dungeon!!!" The speaker yells and pauses to see the crowds reaction "15 silver peices for each monster killed" he continues "and a rare artifact for whoever kills the most monsters" "think of it as a tournament, thank you for coming and remember there's a curfew, from high noon to day break" A few people grumble at that but he continues unperturbed "remember, the law is a respecter of no man..." the speakers yells a few other things and then rounds up, after the announcement a few people wait behind for the complimentary meal, devon is walking briskly towards the council when a guard blocks his path "where do you think you're going?" "i want to speak with the council" "you want to speak with the council" the guard mimics devon and chuckles "get out of my way, i won't ask you again" devon grips the handle of his short sword "oooh, i'm scared" "you should be" some one says from behind the gaurd "excuse me???" the guard turns around and his eyes widen in surprise "lord lekan ..." "you're lucky he didnt draw his sword or you'd be with a healer right now" "i... I..." the guard stutters "he's with me" lekan says and devon brushes past the guard "well my boy, what are you doing here?" "i want to speak to the council" "come with me" Devon walks with lekan to where the council stands discussing "sorry to interrupt, okay i'm not sorry " "lord lekan" a bald man in his late forties with blue eyes, dressed in a noble man's outfit hisses "lord isah" lekan says without looking at him "i want you to meet someone,my boy; devon" "you interrupted us because of this lowlife" lord isah mutters "yes, and he has a few things to say, devon" Devon clears his throat then starts "fist of, you look like a fish out of water" he says turning to lord isah, who looks affronted "secondly, looking good " he says and winks at desmondesa who tries not to smile "thirdly, i want to know where levi is" "ah, the snarky one" father joab says to lady merril "he is where he deserves to be" lady merril says with a laugh "???" "you know he tried to hit me, a lady; here that means treason" lady merril says with a yawn "sweetheart, i would have hit you if you hadn't been that far away from me" Devon grins and lady merril scoffs " he has been tried guilty and would have been put to death if he had not defended the walls" father joab says "i've heard that before" devon mutters and desmondesa glances at him "and so he is in the dungeon with option of bail for 700 silver coins" father joab continues; ignoring devon's statement "i'll get the money, let him go" devon says "do you forget you're in debt?" lady merril says "that's hard to forget" devon drawls "i say we give him a chance" a lord who had been quietly listening says "lord Kesak, you have a soft spot for these vagabonds" lord isah spits "lets not bark just yet" lekan says staring at lord isah who makes a strangled noise "i say we vote" father joab says "we do not release the criminal" lady merril says "i agree" father joab says "so do i" lord isah "i say we let the boy go, surely they will clear their debt" lord kesak says "i agree" lekan says "so do i" desmondesa says "i too agree " a tall lady, with auburn hair, dressed requisitely and with dark skin and green eyes and pointy ears "lady Rea" lord isah looks surprised "i didn't think you'd make an appearance" lady merril says with disdain "a lady is always fashionably late" lady rea says "and so it is decided, your friend shall be returned to you on the condition you clear your debt" lord kesak says and walks away "we trust you devon, don't make us regret it" lady rea says and turns to talk to lekan "come on" desmondesa says and leads devon away "i didn't know you were part of the council" devon looks at her "a lot happened while you were away"

A Collection of Tales
This is or rather will become a collection of short stories set in the worlds of The Misplaced Dungeon and Unexpected Consequences as I am finding it difficult to avoid including some amusing ideas that would sidetrack those stories. And now also include stories from the world of And Dungeon Makes Three. Unless otherwise stated these stories happen in the background and are here because they seem to want to get out. Updating will be irregular.

The Joker, The Trickster, and the Magician
Wolfram Sakimoto, an infamous criminal, was about to be executed in a secret military facility only to survive by a sudden earthquake that struck the whole world and turned it upside down. With the appearance of strange and absurdly powerful monsters, humans started their final struggle to survive this tragic calamity. Wolfram, however, found joy and not despair in this drastic change. A lunatic on the loose, without any morals to uphold, only his thirst to battle the strongest. PS: This story has a relation with RE;Hell Gate and Once Human, Now a Parasite. The Protagonist is eccentric, to say the least, so don't expect any heroic dude. He can be a madman and a hypocrite, if that is not to your taste, then this isn't a story for you.

World Servers - Dawn
The year is 2143, and much of the world’s population has been digitized for decades. Different servers are configured for different purposes. Some servers are pure gaming worlds. Others are offshoots of fringe political experimentation or regimes. Still others are based around ethnic or nationalist sentiment. Some replicate past times or past eras. And still others have been designed as totally imaginary locations created out of the dreams of programmers and the Artificial Intelligences that have been used to build and drive them. The gaming guild I Like Big Booty is a loosely affiliated group of friends and avid players. Theirs is an international guild which spans multiple servers, mostly running raids, ganking other players in PVP, and generally trying to build up the funds to purchase their own home world server. On one of the most populous servers – designed to resemble 20th century earth – a small raid team running a boring and routine run in Washington DC, comes across something that might change the fate of Virtual Reality across the solar system. Note: Per request, the title has been changed, though I might change it again when if I come up with something a little better.

I Totally Don't Have Anger Problems!
Discontinued 7/11/2020 Sorry if anyone was hoping for more updates. It seems I'm losing interest in the character as time goes on - not sure if that's due to miscalculated character development direction or just a limited amount to express in the first place. If I do any writing projects in the future, I'll make sure the premise has a lot of room for long-term, interesting, development before posting anything. Thanks to everyone who gave feedback! I’m Talia Shimada, and my life just got a lot more complicated. One moment I was just doing some regular investigation of an interesting boy from my senior year in high school, and then suddenly, everything went wrong and I was stranded in another world in the middle of nowhere. It’s not my fault he left a clear line of sight to his house keys where they could be photographed and replicated on a 3D printer! Now I’m stuck in the middle of a giant forest with all these annoying creatures that keep attacking me until I SMASH THEM INTO PIECES AND STOMP ON THEIR REMAINS, surviving off of raw meat and, well, other kinds of raw meat. What, am I supposed to know which plants are edible in some far-away wilderness on another PLANET!? This is a planet right? It has to be! What did I do to deserve this? At least that class I got is useful. Now, when something doesn’t do what it’s supposed to, I can keep smashing it until it CAN’T BE A PROBLEM ANY MORE BECAUSE IT’S NOT ABLE TO DO ANYTHING AT ALL! If anyone else tries to get in the way of my plans, I’ll just PICK UP THEIR PUNY BODIES AND THROW THEM ASIDE and watch them sail away, never to trouble me again, because I am DONE having people mess with my life and not being able to do anything about it! From now on, anyone who tries will get to briefly realize their error as I SMASH THEM INTO PASTE BECAUSE THEY PICKED A FIGHT WITH THE WRONG WOMAN! I totally don’t have anger problems! Updates Sundays and Wednesdays, occassionaly Fridays

Quest of the Seal Bearers - Book 1: The Warriors Return
On the distant world of Mendala, a rash of mysterious attacks have left many towns destroyed, and there are rumors of an army of monsters. Fantasma, leader of the global government, and his colleagues are determined to find cause of these attacks. but the search for answers points them to an ancient relic, The Book of War, a cursed artifact that can create indestructible creatures loyal to its master. It’s been over twelve thousand years since the Book of War was last opened. It was believed to be destroyed during the Great War by the Twelve Warriors and Daughter of the Sun at the cost of their lives. Now, it seems the book has resurfaced, and its new master is seeking to forever tip the balance of power. The stage is being set for another Great War but who can stop the Book of War once and for all? Meanwhile on Earth, the teen members of Greengale’s Action and Adventure Club are preparing for their yearly trip when they suddenly stumble upon a secret their parents have been keeping for years. Now their world is being turned upside down as they struggle to understand the legacy that ties their fate to Mendala and the Book of War. Is their destiny set in stone, or will they forge a different path? No matter what, their choices will bring forth a new era for Mendala. ------------------------------ If you love vast fantasy worlds, rich, fleshed-out characters, and a adventure where your'e constantly discovering new things along the way, then this is definitely a story you'll enjoy. This is a slow-burn high fantasy / adventure with many characters and intersecting plotlines. It’s a quest so lots of adventuring, exploring, and character moments, but not a ton of fighting/action (though there are definitely some great fight scenes as payoff to the buildup). Because it’s a fantasy world with lots of people and new concepts, I try to make it easy so that you don’t have to memorize anything. The narrative will constantly remind you of important people/places/concepts as you keep moving forward. Some things won’t be fully explained right at the beginning to avoid information overload. My goal is that the reader will learn things organically as the story progresses. I use two mechanisms to help with the intersecting plotlines. - Each chapter is named for the (main) plotline it’s following and which part. - At the beginning of the chapter, and anytime there is a scene shift, the location is listed. Also, though this is definitely a portal-fantasy (isekai) it’s different from the standard isekai, especially since the world transfer doesn’t happen immediately. It’s not Lit-RPG but characters gain powers and grow over time. Also, it’s a group of teens that transfer, not just one central character. All of the teens are distinct characters, with their own character-arcs, relationships, powers, growth etc. Hopefully you’ll find this interesting as you’ll see the world and story from multiple perspectives. The story is always in 3rd Person (Omniscient) POV so that it’s not jarring as perspectives shift.
