Devon taps him on his shoulders and his arm shoots up with impossible speed and clutches devon's wrist

"hey man,i just thought you could use some water" devon says and holds out his water skin with his other hand, the hooded figure seemed to understand him cause the grip on devon's arm lessened and devon was able to pull his hand free

"thank you" the hooded person says and accepts the waterskin from devon,after chugging it, he tosses the empty water skin to devon

"what's your name?" devon says

"what are you in here for?"

Finn starts to say a prayer, jonas scrambles backward and garcia blinks a few times , levi just whistles looking amused

"would you all just shut up!!"a guard calls out from next carriage

The carriage lurches and everyone is thrown forward

"who's driving this thing?" jonas asks no one in particular

"goblins " harold says

Garcia reaches behind her back and pulls out a wickedly curved dagger from god knows where, and devon reminds himself never to annoy her...

Goblins pour out of the woods, about 200 of them, surrounding the carriages they advance with such military precision that the soldiers are caught ofguard, a gaurd is thrown down from her horse as it trashes around

" free us, we can help you " devon calls out to her

"why would you do that?" she asks looking at him in disbelief

"we're dead in here, literally"

"so you would be helping me to help you"

She considers this

"unlock the goddamn bars, lady!!"

The guard narrows her eyes but unlocks the carriage

"thank you" he says and steps out of the carriage, and grabs a longsword from a dead body, a goblin appears behind the guard and tries to stab her , devon grabs her and dives to the floor, he hits his head on a broken wheel and his vision blurs

The goblin looks confused then turns around and BAAM

Levi's feet slam into the goblin's face and the goblin is sent flying backwards, the goblin is struggling to it's feet when a horse tramples it

"would you look at that" Levi says and scoffs in amusement before bending over devon

"i can't look away for a second without you almost getting killed, eh?" he drawls

"shut up,levi" garcia says and walks over

" so that's where you hid while the fighting was going on" levi says as he looks at him

Jonas makes a strangled sound

"where's harold? " devon asks

"he left" garcia says and devon notices she looks down as she says so

Devon turns in the direction he pointed and sees finn laying face down in the dirt still clutching tightly to his amulet of priesthood, jonas retches and garcia mutters under her breath
