Alina's P.O.V
I was just heading off to my first class. Just then, the principal announced something on the intercom.
P: Alina Jones, please report to the principal's office at once.
So I headed staright for the principal's office.
*Narrator* Alina reached the office.
A: You called, Mrs Brown.
MB: Ah, yes. Alina, please sit.
A: *Sits hesitantly*
MB: So Alina, have you heard of the school legend?
A: No.
MB: It's not your fault. That story had been forgotten long ago.
Principal Brown was a 52 year old woman with warm brown eyes and a straight composture. No doubt she would remember this school myth and be the principal.
MB: Long ago, there were twelve children who were the best of friends. These were no ordinary children. Each of them possessed a certain power, personality and skill. They decided to build this building with their own hands. They built this building for a purpose. It was disguised as a high school but folks used to say there was a secret chamber under this very school. The young adults formed a group that ..... assasinated. They called themselves the assasins. They had to fight another mysterious group of criminals. They found out that the 'criminals' were actually aliens that took on human form. The aliens always stole materials like petrol, limestone and tar. The aliens were actually using the materials to create an all powerful weapon to destroy Earth. The assasins managed to stop them in time. Some say they died in the process, some say they continued their lives as normal adults, nobody knows.
A: And why are you telling me this?
MB: Because, Alina. The aliens have returned.
A: What! You're joking. How can you possibly know?
MB: Alina, I am an assasin. Or I studied the path of the assasins.
A: WHAT!
MB: Alina, I would stop them myself but I am far too old.
A: Wait, what were the assasins' names?
MB: Arthur Kane, Thomas Temple, Gloria McKenzie, Camila Castle, Lalia Osborn, Valerian Crawford, Lawrance Summers, Sabine Gladstone, Scotts Bradshaw, Charlene Hampton, Alexender Christian and Pedro Brown.
A: So you're the...
MB: Yes, Alina. I am Phoebe Brown, the descendant of Pedro.
A: So why am I here?
MB: Alina, you are the the next assasin. You're friends have showed great promise too.
A: But I just got here!
MB: Exactly. And yet you have showned your love for water and quirky personality of Alexender Christian.
A: I-I. What do I need to do?
MB: Save the world of course. But in long terms so not as much pressure. Oh, and each off the assasins represent a zodiac sign so there are some risks.
A: Like?
MB: LIke death, for instance. It would be like invited someone into your mind and letting them partially control it.
A: So... what sign do I represent?
MB: Aquarius.
A: Really? That MY zodiac sign. Cool!
MB: So would you like to become an assasin?
A: Well, yeah. I guess.
MB: Good! Training starts after school tommorow.
*Narrator* Alina stands up to leave the room.
MB: Oh, and Alina?
A: Yes, Principal?
MB: Don't tell your friends.
A: Okay.
*Narrator* Alina leaves the room.
Phoebe sighs and looks at the nearby mantel. On top of the mantel was a photoframe. The photo was a picture of her and her grandfather. It was the last picture they took together before some rogue aliens attacked. Pedro had died protecting her. She had barely gotten out alive. Since then, she had been an orphan.
MB: I'll make you proud, Grandfather.

8 208The Fate of The Summoned (being ReWritten)
The Fate of The Summoned In the world of Aethion things are vastly different than on Earth. There is Magic and Monsters, as well as Demons and Dragons. Throughout the history of the world there have been many wars, both between all the various nations and kingdoms and between those nations and kingdoms and the Demonic forces lead by a Demon King or Lord. There are times that the Demons gain so much more power than the other nations, or that the others are embroiled in a war against each other and the lone nation is targeted by the demons. It was during these occasions that the various Gods and Goddesses started giving two things to the races. The First of these things were the Blessings, magical blessings given to the worth for chosen things. The Second of these things were the Summoning rituals, magic rituals that could summon beings from somewhere else, that would be Chosen, by the gods. These beings have almost always come from our world, Earth. It has been centuries since this practice began and the countries of the world have almost always flourished for a time after a Chosen or group of them were Summoned. All of the countries treat the Summoned well, almost like kings or princes in their own right. Well, not all countries, there are some that have treated them almost like slaves, though those countries don’t usually last long. There is one though, that has lasted, for a long time due to their connection to their Patron Deity, the Goddess of Light. They only accept certain types of Summoned and they dote on certain members of the country more than others. Several years ago they performed a summoning, as they were being plagued by overflow from the dungeons. Now they, like the other countries of Aethion, have performed the ritual to fight against the current Demon King, who is said to possess a Blessing. This is a story about Fate, and those that fight against it and those who accept it. In this story the main character(s) do not fight their fate, like those in my other story, rather they embrace it and let it shape them, though that does not mean they are total slaves to it. While there will be similarities to most other Hero sumoning novels, i hope the Mcs abilities and such will make it unique.
