《Distorted Light :TFALM》Chapter 10.50 Auroras confession.

I was leaving the dining room behind me, and I started walking to the lord's chamber down the various halls and corridors. I had Aurora and Locust running after me, with Edgur casually walking closely behind them, not bothering to run. Time was important, and I did not wait for them to catch up and instead continued walking as Edgur knew I walked fast. But eventually, everyone caught up.
Aurora grabbed onto my shoulder, spinning me around to face her, clearly not impressed; pulling me in, she held me. Not saying a word as I looked down at her briefly, my attention then turned to Locust and Edgur.
Edgur continued to walk forward to the lord’s chambers doors, knowing where I was going to. But before he left through the doors, he turned back to face me, the dim light shining down his scarred eye as he then said to me in a calm tone of voice,
“I will see you in the chamber, Silvar. Do not take too long and keep me waiting.”
Now walking through the door ahead of us, he disappeared. I was now alone with Aurora, who still was holding onto me tightly. Her hands wrapped around my waist and were locked at the back. Aurora had me and was not letting me go. It was at that time Locust, now finally alone with me and her friend Aurora. I could see her begin to relax. “What a crazy night,” She said; looking at her, I smiled and complimented her and said, “You look nice after everything still.”
She was no longer wearing her armour and instead was wearing the uniform most high-ranked officers wore, as was Aurora, Edgur, Claire and Vince. They were both now dressed in the same outfit.
Size varied;
It was a dark brown coat with its awards pinned or sewn onto the chest pocket. It went down to their waist with two loose pieces of fabric that flowed down their buts.

With a black pair of pants and brown boots with an officer's hat to match that officer's look for females. On the other hand, the male was a black trench coat with a deep dark brown pair of pants and black boots with white gloves and a white hat.
Most of the time, this is what people wore when on duty. It had been so long since a war or anything broke out in Algia most people never wore armour outside and wore this outfit instead.
It looked extremely flattering on Aurora as I looked down, staring at her waist, running my hands down her neck. I slowly caressed her body while she held me; the outfit highlighted her body’s natural curves. It was hard to admit who looked better when Locust asked me,
“So Silvar, who wears it better?”
Next, leaning over, pushing her arms together, she continued to pester me and said, “Well, we are waiting, Silvar.” Locust put me between a rock and a hard place with that question as I did not want to answer it. Then Locust knowing she had won, said, “Thought so.” Now admiring her own looks, I shook my head. Aurora opened her eyes and then said, almost as if she was out of breath,
“Can we talk? It is important!”
Responding to her question, I said, “Sure, what is on your mind, Aurora? Is something bothering you?”
Aurora let go of my waist, and then, playing with her fingers, I could tell she was struggling to speak
as she clearly looked embarrassed I did not understand but could tell. But why? I thought.
Aurora, then finally, bringing herself to muster what was on her mind, spoke to me and said, “I do want a reward, actually.” Pausing briefly, she held her head low as her long red hair fell over her eyes, covering them and her face. I ran my hands through her hair, and then I could not help but notice the water building in the corners of her eyes. Blinking, a small tear ran down her cheek, and next, she said, almost now, bringing herself to tears, “I want you to promise never to leave me! I have only ever loved you!” Now placing her head on my chest, she said, “I know all about the pain you go through. I’ll never leave you; I promise, give me a chance!” Next, she frantically said while she scattered to place her head on my chest, “I want to lay my head on your chest if that is alright. I want to listen to heart your beat.”

Aurora's sudden confession caught me off guard. I was beginning to think she hated me for everything I put her through... But now this happened, and well, I was confused. What goes on inside the mind of Aurora.
I suddenly could hear Locust. She started interrupting Aurora cutting her and I off as she faced me and said, “I almost forgot about a reward. Hey, Silvar, if you scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours.” Winking at me seductively next. Aurora then I could feel quickly lift her head off of my chest, and then I heard her scream, “Locust!!” After they had their little fight, we entered the Lord's chambers.
Now inside the Lord's chamber with Aurora and Locust, I walked forward, and the ladies followed. It did not take long until we found Edgur by the throne, and before I had a chance to speak to him, he started handing me an outfit and said,” Here” After I put it on, I looked like a true lord. Wearing my white formal outfit with the various gems and rings that adorn me, I looked spectacular. Next, Edgur and I spoke about what I should ask Mela after learning what brought her here. An hour or two passed, and as the time passed and we had formed a plan, Edgur turned to me and said, “It’s time, Silvar; you should invite Mela to your chamber now we will leave.”

Fighting to be Kind in a Cultivation World
Aren't you tired of the typical cultivation story, where an isekai'd person comes into the world and becomes a brutal or selfish person? I know I am. So instead of being fully changed by the world, I want this protagonist to stick to their beliefs and help to change the world (and people) for the better. There will still be main character development and tests of those beliefs, but I want them to maintain that aspect. Brief Synopsis:American is thrown into a typical Xuanhuan cultivation world where the masses of the people are typically sacrificed for the abilities of the few. This is meant to be an alternate take on how protagonists approach these worlds. Main character comes into the world w/ scanning, healing, and monster taming abilities. The release schedule will begin on Dec 1st. The schedule is 2 chapters/week (Tue & Fri) at 11pm. Please like, comment, and follow, as that helps me to gauge interest in the series. Final note: I notice that many cultivation novels treat abuse or sexual assault as a throwaway tool to set a stage. I think the way it is normally done is both lazy and a disrespectful to victims. If you have any suggestions on how I can improve the way I've done it in this series, please let me know. I want to do this the right way. P.S. *Nudge, nudge* If you are looking for a sneak peek of up to 16 chapters ahead, check out my Patreon. :D
